I did notice some other wires that need some attention, a ground wire that you mentioned that goes down near the horn, is one. Gonna take and go thru em all this winter with a fine tooth comb. Hopefully I wont have any problems tho till then.

Thank you! The main fuse was blown, also one in the lil fuse box was blown- the one marked backup. Changed them both and all power seems to be back. Now im wondering why? When I first went to start it, the battery was completly drained, had no juice whatsoever. So I took the battery out of my other bike and put the charger to it anyway just to make sure it was fully charged. Maybe the battery was just old, ( like I said been 2 or 3 weeks since I had even started it) and maybe I blew the fuse putting in other battery. Gonna put it back together and keep a close eye on it and see if any problems. Thank you again

K just searched tech section on electrical shorts and says read only- guess I need to ask here. Went to start bike after sitting for 2 weeks and I got nothin, no lights - no power of any kind and no radio. I saw in tech support about the ignition and wire connection burning up and shorting out so I pulled tank off and checked it. Looks fine, also noticed that all that had a ignition problem that their radio still worked. So am wondering if anyone has any ideas before I start removing ignition- Ive looked around for any obvious melted wire connections and no luck so far. gonna do a more thurall search before changing the ignition tho. And yes the battery is fully charged hehe Thanx for any help or ideas

Sure hope they find out what it is and hopefully nothing too bad. Kinda wild story tho as were trying to sell our house and move down to the chattanooga area. Ive been looking for work down there but so far not nothin to get too excited about. Unless i wanted to work at a fast lube place, lol there seems to be alot of openings for that! Good luck with dad, sure hope he's feeling better

Auestion for the Truck Drivers Out There (about passing)
Hazenson replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
Been driving semi for 17 years and a lot of great advice here, one other thing- and I dont wanna scare anyone any worse about tires and such, but most dont realize some of the junk that is running down the road. Thank goodness for d.o.t. officers because some employers dont care what shape their rigs are in. When Im on my bike I know I need to be seen, but I waste no time getting around every rig and getting him behind me. Their loads alone will kill you if a single scrap of wood or metal comes sailing off. I once saw a full sheet of pole barn steel come sailing off a loose loaded trailer- it spun around thru the air and stuck 2 feet into the ground. Would have a cut a biker in two if it had hit one. Respecting a semi on the road is very very smart in my opinion. Each driver is supposed to check his tie-downs and make sure his load is secure OFTEN-- but many do not -
On a brighter note the less MM's that are around, will make the ones left even more rarer! hehe just a after thought hmmm # 3 tho?? wow

Wife and I have lived in the same house for 22 years and this is the first year ever that we had so many bucks around. We have 2 that are staying right behind the house and 2 others behind the nieghbors. We have a few ducks in our pond and we have always put cracked corn out for them. (tame ducks). But this year the deer almost always get the corn before the ducks too. So Im going thru alot of corn, my daughter has been taking our camera to school for her portfolio she's working on so usually when I get a chance for a good picture she has it. But I did get this picture the other day, this fella walked up to about 25 feet of me and actually waited for me to get him more corn, I went in the garage got more and came back and he just stood there looking at me as if he was wondering why I was slacking. I dont hunt anymore since I lost my dad and It was something we did alot together, so usually when I tryed it just got me depressed. But Im enjoying this summer greatly with these guys-This is the smaller of the 2 as his big brother is much more shy and I havnt got a good pic of him ...... yet http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v405/Hazenson/Copyof100_3454.jpg

I agree, the value would surely drop if ya painted it, but if ya dont like it they do seem to sell fairly quick. The color isnt for everyone tho, but ya may consider some pinstripping or something to add some pizazz. I picked up some plastic pin grafic's for mine, which I can remove if I did ever choose to sell.

I got in the habit of not even asking to borrow stuff , One time long ago I borrowed a very new push mower from my father in law and I hit a small pipe that was buried in the ground. Usually a quick fix ( change the shear pin) but as My luck would have it, it actually bent the shaft, a very expensive repair. I fixed it myself but the new shaft costs almost as much as a whole new motor

Dag-burnit Guess Im gonna have to check out this facebook thingy ya all keep referring too -
Normally, of course it changes depending on where you are. Checking with the local building inspector will answer all your questions. Here in Michigan a permit is required if the project is estimated to run more then 600.00 dollars.
