I used the oem plugs. -
I'm lost like a ball in high weeds with all this....is a touch pad (kindle) at risk to this stuff?

That's awesome....I didn't see anything excessive about it. The only problem I saw was he didn't get any kill shots. As far as I'm concerned at least one perps came in armed at which point deadly forced was justified.

Yes sir, I bought it this summer and didn't think it had been done. Unfortunately the sight glasses on the HD's don't give much indication of dicoloration like that of Yamaha and Honda.

I got energetic today and changed the brake fluid. Being it's an '08 with 5k miles I doubted it had ever been done. Everything looked good inside the reserviors, just discoloration of the fluid. I'll let the experts decide if it looks normal or past due. One bottle contained new brake fluid (for comparison only) while the other is what came out of it.

I had put one on my '06 RSTD and later sold it in favor of the Butler mood. Their essentially the same, rstd and rsv and to me the operator seat was to shallow and felt like half of me was setting on the tank. If your a big person it may not be for you. I just put the regal pillow top on my '08 Roadking and really like it. The hd model isn't near as shallow as the rsv version.

Center for Disease Control Considers Helmetless Motorcyclists an Epidemic
jfoster replied to AzBones's topic in Watering Hole
My view is we live in a country that doesn't want to be a third world country with people getting electricuted while riding on top of an electric rail car like India or have citizens drive with no regard for anything like parts of Mexico, etc. I understand there's people out there that believe the government shouldn't intervene in their lives. But, that's not how are government works. We regulate to some degree everthing. If the stats start showing to many senseless deaths then the government will intervene for those they feel don't have the common sense to make good decisions. Options: 1) Deal with it, drawback for living in a county like ours. 2) Move to a third world country. Do they take some things to far...maybe. But as long as people continue to make poor decisions they will continue to intervene. -
Guy, I like others trucked for 12 years before changing carreers and getting on the with the State Police. Just like Snaggletooth, Rick Haywood, Playboy and others stated some of these over-the-road companies treat people like a third world nation. In my opinion, if they have a "help wanted" add on their trailer doors you really don't want to work for them. Most have a huge amount of turnover. I know that sounds discouraging, but its the truth. If it were me, I would not go to a driving school. Just like previously stated, you'll spend alot of time riding and very little actual driving time for a nominal fee. Also, those carriers advertising in house training will require you to live in a cab with someone for who knows how long while you learn to driver, etc. Might be a good guy or someone who s..ts in a shoe book every night. I was lucky and used the military to get my cdl before I got out and i was willing to work for FREE for a local company in Summerville, S.C. on Saturdays before I got out of the Navy just to get experience. Afterwards, I had a descent job hauling equipment locally and home every night. Some people will say that's crazy. But, your gonna pay with your time or money and sometimes both to get into it. It just depends on which one you got more off. I have no grips about my years trucking...loved most of it. Trucking locally and over-the-road. I would consider finding an owner-operator and pay them to teach you how to drive which in itself may lead to a descent job. Good luck......

I tried castrol 20w50 on my old '06 rstd and immediately noticed the whine was horrible. I went back to rotella 15w30 within a 100 miles.

Handlebar riser options
jfoster replied to irbk's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
From my understanding risers won't work due to the speedo. All the posts I've seen where purchasing Flanders bars for the rstd. Maybe one will chime in for the part number. -
My neighbor has about half a dozen rattle snakes. They don't bark all hours of the day and night or smell like a bunch of goats! As long as they stay there I'm cool with them.

Very sharp looking...love their lines. Are those RSV mirrors on it?

Nice..you'll have to give a ride report.

I wanted the mag 8, but cant find an XL in matte black. From the reviews, it seems to be a quiet helmet. I had a fulmer 3/4 with the flip up shield that was very noisy. Unfortunately, none of the dealers around my parts carry Bell helmets.

Has anyone tried one of these helmets and your thoughts?

Suggested oil for an RSTD 06
jfoster replied to irbk's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I ran the Rotella in my previous RSTD and it seemed to do really well. From my experiments thicker oil like 20w50 made the whine worse.
