1. The wife wants to ride down to the Alamo and the river walk. What hotel would you guys recommend from $100-150 range that's close by and mc friendly? Thanks in advance.
2. Usually the wrecker service on small fluids like this and with larger messes DOTD and DEQ if it involves a certain amount of hazmat.
3. I don't think he was used to dragging the floor boards and up righted as soon as it started to scrape the pavement.
4. 2nd that......hopefully he's not a jobless hobo like we have here and expecting Dad to rent the car, buy the fuel and feed him.
5. Can't wait to see what China does when they start processing our food. But honestly, consider how much food that is processed its amazing we don't find more.
6. Someone talked about using camping fuel one time... What was the benefit of it?
7. I hate the dreams too....wake up mad and then the relief it was a dream!

9. You know the old saying that one oh s..t can ruin ten addaboys.
10. Dave, I've got the first ones they came out with and if they're the same it clamps to the side of helmet. I've used mine on a Fulmer with no problems and the wife has an HIC i think that it fits fine on. I really like mine, the first one I had had some distortion in one of the speakers and sent it back and they sent me a brand new set. On mine, you just pull back the liner and clamp it to the shell with two allen screws. Here's a couple of photos to help see how mine is constructed.
11. If you never try you'll never know. Right now interest rates are farely low. I kinda did the same thing, got rid of my rstd for a honda st1300. I've always liked the looks of them. I keep it for about eight or nine months and sold it. I wish I could afford two bikes cause it was a lot of fun, but the wife didn't care for it and my riding buddy got rid of his ride and wanted something we both would enjoy.
12. Isn't the blond riding two up new? Don't remember her....
13. Isn't the politically correct terminology "commercial company"?
14. A lot of people down here do. The last one I bought, I had to tell the guy to take his plate and go to the dmv to have it cancelled. Most people don't think about it, but like flying said it varies from state to state.
15. Cash and the bill of sale....just make sure he signs the title exactly as his name is on the title.
16. What was the snake oil they had info commercials on where they drained the oil and then drove around town to show how far it could go without quitting.
17. I picked up an '08 Road King classic a couple of months ago and so far I'm fairly happy with it. It gets better fuel mileage and has better wind management than the RSTD. I've tried Honda twice and the RSTD and with all three I felt dissatisfied with either the lack of something, ergonomics, or an annoying sound. I really felt like metric manufactures could care less if you like their bikes or not or that they could careless about making them better. With that the only other option was an HD. I believe Yamaha could produce a better bike, but I get the feeling they don't care and there's so many sorry dealers its just not worth dealing with. The Stratoliner is a perfect example, great looking bike but no cruise control and to small of a fuel tank. Two easy fixes! The RSV and the RSTD with the gear whine and carbs again two easy fixes that the company could fix. But they have the mindset of an auto company of we'll build it and if it doesn't do well we'll discontinue it instead of making it better.
18. Very neat...totally agree with getting rid of the bike.
19. I'm impressed they made an effort to find you.
20. Nice looking especially with the dual exhaust, but maybe alittle high on price. Est around $6000-6500. When I traded my rstd last year I couldn't sell it for $6500. The RS gets better fuel mileage and may not have the whine and belt drive (better to me) and doesn't have the lower fairing of the RSTD (also better to me). The only negative is no cruise. Couldn't say about riding two up.
21. I've had four mc's in the past five years: VTX1300, RSTD, ST1300, HD Road King. So far the best all-around is the RK. But in all fairness I have only had it for a couple of months. I've always been turned off by the HD crowd and refused to own one, but now I have one I can appreciate walking into a dealer and be able to purchase handlebars, lowers, etc off the shelf and not have to order add-ons. As far's as prices go, some things are cheaper. Got a set of the heritage style bars for $79, much cheaper than the Flanders bars for the RSTD with no drilling or modifications. The down side is HDs are more expensive. Will I be at the dealer hanging out on Saturdays? Not Hardly! Nor will I be an unpaid sponsor with HD decals on my vehicles.
22. Ibuprofen...or preferred pain medications. Old socks and underwear...throw away after each use and less dirty clothes to carry.
23. I was stationed at the Seabee base from '89 to '92 and would love to go back someday and reminiscence.
24. Looking for a go cart for my youngest and found Discount Go Carts and curious if any members around Houston have heard anything positive or negatives on these guys. Thanks
25. There's someone on the gl1800 forum ranting about the company and the same trailer about poor fit and other issues with the hitch, tires rubbing, and paint chipping.
