  1. Most be nice...at 16 I had a yamaha dual sport 350 and thought I was in high cotton.
  2. Guy, I feel for you....there's no sense in that.
  3. Atleast he was honest.
  4. Sorry, just looked at your picture....it works with the stock seat, I don't see why it wouldn't with the comfort cruise. I didn't have any issues with mine with the utopia.
  5. Not sure about the back up, but the Utopia backrest will work with the comfort cruise and the stock seat. I have it on mine.
  6. Something to consider, I've sat on new RSV seats and one with about 25k miles on it and there was a huge difference to me. I think yamaha's foam breaks down very quickly and to me has no support. For those with a lower ground pressure it may not be a factor. If you guys like a firm seat, I would try the corbin its alittle more firmer than the mustang. For me personally, I doesn't matter. After 200 miles my rear end is not comfortable not matter kind I of seat I have. I've tried to ride 2300 miles and I've figured out about two tanks of gas is about as far from home as I'll go. Others can ride all day...my hats off to em.
  7. You'd have to find out if a mustang rear will match up to a ultimate operators seat. I know you can match up a factory seat with a mustang seat and a comfort cruise (yamaha) with a factory seat. I had a mustang front matched with a factory rear and a comfort cruise front and factory rear. The comfort cruise is a firm seat like the corbin.
  8. Has anyone purchased a customdynamics led taillight/brake light? Thoughts and comments on quality, brightness, etc.
  9. Do they kick air up towards your chest? Has anyone tried a set on a RSTD?
  10. Kbay...There's just no describing that oh s__t feeling and the relief of finding them, lol. I got loaded one time and locked the keys in the truck with it blocking the scales...bad. Got a pool car with no spare...thank you pop-a-lock. Sat outside for hours waiting till the wife got home, cause I locked myself out with the house, spare inside. Best yet...I laid a very expensive item on the plastic piece between the hood and the windshield on her car. She drove 16 miles round trip and sat in a parking lot all day in the rain and it still made it home....OMG what a relief.
  11. If you do not wear earplugs you may want to try these. I got a set of reusable earplugs from Earplugsuperstore.com, click on the link for motorcycles, they're called Quietear reusable earplugs. They DO NOT block a lot noise like most earplugs, but they totally eliminate the high pitch whine from the clutch basket. The only downside that I've found is they increase low pitch sounds from the tires. For those that wear earplugs, I wouldn't recommend them. They are bout $10 for one set.
  12. Correction: On the throttle body butterfly valve, it would not close on its own.
  13. My 08 Crown Vic did something like that...mine would surge at an idle and then die. It was it a bad throttle body. They replaced it and back to new. On mine it was obvious when you pulled the air intake off. The butterfly valve was partially open and would close, bad spring or something.
  14. I'm with you Chief...as far as I'm concerned they can keep it. I'll take my chances.
  15. As far as lending goes...I think that was part of the problem to begin with. They have been lending money to people that had no business getting a loan. Last year when the news was constantly reporting that people couldn't get a car loan we bought a new car at 4% with no problem, which leads me to think its all B.S. or its a poor is me attitude that the average tick terd that won't pay his bills can't get a loan.
  16. Whatever you decide...will you post some pics of the end product. Been thinking of doing that with the brake light kit. For now, I went with the license plate bracket with the led light bar on it.
  17. That's ONE thing I like about HD's, They seem to keep making upgrades to their current models; transmissions, motors, exhaust, etc. I really like the new rear blinker set-up they have on the 2010's (removing the traditional brake light).
  18. The main problem that I've been told concerning plugs is that they may work themselves out rapidly deflating the tire. As for me, I've never experienced this. I've run tires with plugs in them at high speeds with no problem (car tires). Not saying that it won't happen. I personally don't trust a patch and would take a plug over a patch any day.
  19. Curious, whats the purpose of it or what does it do?
  20. Looks like the Radio Caddy fairing.
  21. I noticed the same thing...especially after I went to the tall 21" clearview shield. After cutting it down 5" it got much better. As far as the motorkote, I couldn't tell any difference.
  22. I'd like to have an 1800N with a six speed and electronic cruise. I had a 1300S and to me it was just geared to low.
  23. I love mine...I'm like Buddy, gets old always thinking if I want to run 70 I need to be doing 77. Then your mind (our mine atleast) thinks the motor is actually turning 77 mph. Either way wouldn't go without it.
  24. Most be nice...The first word out of mine is leave it over nite.
  25. If I remember right, radial tires are constructed with the ply cords run from one bead to the other bead (IIII) Advantages to radials, slower tread wear, better ride, better handling, and cooler running. (typical car tire) Bias tires are constructed where the plies run diagonally (\\\///) and are overlapped. I think the one advantage to bias tires is increased load carrying capacity (old truck tires). I'm guessing, that's probably why they're still making bias motorcycle tires when the automotive industry has gone away with them.
