  1. I had the same problem with my rstd and roadking. Handlebars or risers are a most. 2nd a backrest and the a throttle assist like the cramp buster. But, if after 6 months and your seriously ready to move on then maybe its time.
  2. So can the trunk be removed from a regular Wing?
  3. Fwiw, when I started back riding I started out with VTX1300, then the RSTD to ST1300 to a stock HD Road King. Each have their good and bad. So far, the HD does most everything the best with the ST in 2nd to the RSTD in 3rd. I too used to down HD for their persona, but after owning and riding one I have changed my attitude. I still wear the same clothes and gear as I did before. And still wave at other riders even though the GW's wont wave back.....go figure. But, what puts HD ahead of everything else is they do things so much better, such as owner options in mind. Fixed fairing, handle bar fairing, wind shield, cruise control, and on and on. Unlike the mindset of here it is take it or leave it. If one can appreciate that and ignore all the persona bs one might be surprised.
  4. Good job! I think I lost money on my first one!

    Bell Mag 9

I have sena intercom and the speakers fit really good. But mounting the control module on the side was a work in progress to get the mouth piece close enough and still be able to flip the inner shield down.

    Bell Mag 9

I tried the mag 9 for an intercom helmet and was not impressed. I found that air intakes on top of the helmet created excessive wind noise like most helmets. Granted if one is behind a large windscreen it will decrease. The ratcheting of the face shield was loud and stiff. The inner tinted shield was ok, but cheap. The cheek pads were too tight to be able to wear glasses. I would not recommend this helmet if you have to wear glasses and will probably trash mine.

    New Bike

Nice....the saddle bag trim rails are even straight!
  8. My '98 Chevy truck did the same thing when the alternator went bad and started overcharging which in turn made the truck shut down to an idle. I know totally didn't animals.
  9. ? Just happened....I can see them giving it a more of the street glide look, but being spoiled and like most I love my cruise control, that would be a deal breaker for me. Same reason I passed up the stratoliner for the RSTD.
  10. I read in one m/c magazine at Walmart today that mentioned that the F6 had no cruise control! It's hard to believe Honda would take it away from existing equipment if it's correct. Maybe I misread it?
  11. Daitan for reference: 49th CFR section 395.1 and 395.8 (hours of service) When you ask how much time is required from when you stop driving for A and then begin for carrier B. It depends on how many hours your were on duty for A and how many hours your drove for B and how much time you had off in between. Remember you got the 34 hr restart and 10 hrs off duty or split sleeper of 2/8. You have to treat them as if it were the same company. You would still have make sure you didn't violate the 11/14 hour and 70/8 or 60/7 hour rules. For example: If you just came off an interstate trip and had logged 8 hrs of driving for A then got off and went straight to work for B and drove another 5 hrs then you would be in violation of exceeding 11 hr rule and maybe the 14 hr rule. Even though two seperate carriers, you'd still be required to log it because you may exceeded atleast two of the 100 air mile exemption requirements of exceeding 12 hrs on duty and 100 air miles. Either call me or pm and i'll try my best to help you. james
  12. Daitan call me, my # is in my profile. I do mcsap full time.
  13. We gave my step-dad and father-in-law that gift one year. Expensive, but they had a good time. My step-dad decided he too wanted some rolls etc and it got the best of him. I think the company we used was Warbirds. They had a yellow WWII AT-6 or something very similar. So, glad the O.P. enjoyed his flight time. I'm still waiting for mine!
  14. In La I took a written test and then rode to the dmv, the lady asked if I had rode there? I said, "yes Ma'am!". PASS!
  15. Just for reference point, what were you riding before the RSV?
  16. We have Sirius in our car and have grown to dislike it. After one of our members turned me on to Pandora radio for smart phones and love it and its free.
  17. You know when the average person drives up on a bad wreck on a straight road on a sunny day with multiple vehicles with debries everywhere and they ask themselves how in the heck could this have happened under these conditions....I always think about Paul Harvey and the rest of the story.
  18. I too had one broken up two years ago along with the stint. Definitely not that big! Genuinely hope for a speedy recovery.
  19. Its not bad! Belt drive, springer seat option, led brake lamp, disk brakes, 950cc. Its not a Victory High Ball, but its almost half the price. If I was 16 and wanted something to run around on and couldn't get a Fury or the adventure NC700x, it would be an option. Definitely better than Honda's phantom 750 that's shaft drive, drum brake (rear) and 200cc less for the same money.
  20. As long as ya don't start changing avators I'm good!
  21. I had an 06 RSTD and it was bad. Riders could hear it while riding behind me. It was to the point I had to wear ear plugs. Yamaha did change the basket out with the I basket and it did greatly reduce the whine to a tolerable level. The weird thing is the wife never heard on it while riding two up, but she is partially tone deaf. Some have it and some say they don't have it, with that I would not buy one without at least a test ride.
  22. D' I've had both a Sig P220 .45 and a Glock 22 and 23 .40. They're both issued firearms, the Sig had a history of double feeding the Glock hasn't. Plus the Glock is very low maintenance. The tell us not to oil them other than the barrel due to oil attracts dirt. Typically our agency prefers the 40 Cal due to a mix of higher capacity compared to the .45 and more knock down than the 9 mm. They do recommend the 9 mm for shooters that have a difficulty qualifing with the .40 Like one of the other guys mentioned, I think the best caliper is the one your most comfortable with and can shoot accurately for personal protection. Hope this helps, j
  23. Congratulations ! It should have a small bracket just above the tail light.
  24. Miles I appreciate your response and for those that may have missed it, our discussion was about non-ethanol gasoline with no additives or detergents.
