Out on the trike and I get a red light up on the dash, yikes! Not good. Get it to my service guy, and it turned out to be the solenoid. Then head off on the Sunday for my club stone ride, but get to meet point and now it won't start!! My veteran brothers gave me a push start, and I get it home...but it's not pulling too many volts. Now I need a stator !! Alan decides to save a bit of money and do the work himself. Parts ordered and picked up, and he starts the work. All goes well, he decides to check the battery also, in case it has dropped any cells. Well........ last mechanic tightened the negative so bad AL had to break the post off to then get the neg wire off !! Result -- new battery π³π³π³π³π³π’π’π²π²π²π²π²

Where do I begin ?? It has been so long since I have been in here my friends, it has not been too good over here with family members for nearly two years. My younger sister was diagnosed with cancer in late 2015, and I tried to be as supportive as I could throughout her battle. It helped to take the pressure off her two young daughters, who had already lost their father to cancer 8 years ago. I attended all appointments and chemo treatments with her........and near the end was travelling everyday to the hospital. Sadly she passed in June last year. But by then my sister-in-law had been diagnosed with stage four cancer, and I was once more trying to be supportive to my older brother. Sadly that fight was also lost, and my sister (to me) passed two weeks ago. And the battle with that awful insipid disease continues, with two of my close female friends both fighting stomach cancer!! At times I have felt so bloody helpless to fathom "why" and to be able to assist in any way, that it triggered my PTSD..... so I have been up and down. So.............................. Decision made to complete some of Alan's bucket list. Which is to do the Alaskan Inner Passage cruise, and to ride the train across Canada. Naturally this also means a trip into the USA to see our VR family. We will try to catch up with as many of you as we can, but because of the cruise dates etc. we will miss all the rallies!! We have booked and paid now, so can't wait 'cause I love you all so much Following is our itinerary, and over the next few days I will map out which way we are headed around the states, and hope to catch up with a lot of you guys. Sat July 1 arrive in Vancouver, board the train later in the day for Seattle,WA (arrive 10pm) overnight stay Sun July 2 board Emerald Princess in afternoon Cruise alaskan Inner Passage Sun July 9 back in Seattle @ 7am 5pm board train back to Vancouver, BC arrive 11pm 9-11th staying @ YWCA hotel Tues 11th @ 7.30pm VIA train to Toronto arrive July 15 @ 9.30am 15-17th staying @ Knights Inn, Toronto Mon 17th fly to JFK, NY arrive 2pm Collect rental car, and we're off !! To be continued.................................... LOVE YA'LL

Aussie Annie replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Loved your story..... just read it out to Alan. Far out!! Take care Puc, hope this new tuner does the trick. If not you could always try a Thunder Max....that's the tuner I got on my Harley ππ Will be in my prayers ππ Aussie Annie -
This will be the most amazing "family" you will ever know. I started out joining this site after purchasing my 2007 Venture. After an accident in 2009 there had to be a change to a trike (HD) but the folks in here got me through some tough times, and I love them all dearly. In 2011 and 2013 I shipped my trike to the USA and my husband rode a trusty 1984 Venture and we toured for 31/2 months the first trip and 3 months the second time. So many of the VR family invited us to stay in their homes.....it was wonderful, and we shall never forget their generosity. We loved traveling all over the U.S. And saw some wonderful places. Memories, amazing memories. You wont just be a supporting member....you will be family---- welcome π

Thanks everyone..... love ya'll

....it's been one heck of crappy time for the family for over a year! My younger sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer in March last year, and it's been a battle. She has cancer in the left lung, and the liver. I have been doing all the driving for chemo and Dr visits. Nearly lost her three times.....then she decided to stop treatment in October of last year. Her Oncologist submitted her name for a new trial drug, and she was accepted. It won't cure the cancer, but it has given her more time with her daughters and grand daughters. Also, my cousin, who is like a sister, has breast cancer for the second time. Then to top it off -- just after Christmas my sister-in-law was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer !! So as you can see my time, and head space is for family right now. My VR family are important to me also...and I have kept up with those that are on Facebook, but I will endeavor to come in here more often. We have just returned from a riding trip to see some of Alan's sister's. He hadn't seen one of them for 40 years!! Riding across this big island is a heck of a trip and I'm dealing with a lot of pain now I'm home, but glad I went to see family. My love to you all, and may this year be a good one for you all

Will be great to see you in here more often.... going to do the same thing!! Thank you for serving again
