  1. Ross, " I like to have my bell swinging free" set me off on such a fit of laughter  and I can't stop now:confused24: maybe I have a really bad sense of humour, but thanks for exercising my laugh muscles. If the exchange rate improves I would love to get a bell and badge. __________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel:2133:can fly
  2. BigBoyinMS, I appreciate you giving me the forum address to look at, car tyres will certainly be cheaper on my RSV when the trike conversion goes on _______________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel:2133:can fly
  3. Gunboat, thanks for the birthday cheers, I had a nice evening out for dinner with Alan, our children and grandchildren (6) ___________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel:2133:can fly
  4. Yep, got it in one. The front wheel is forward more but rake angle not changed, and it makes car more manageable. I questioned the engineer and it was him who said leave it on for trike conversion. After 16 months of hospital and physio I am no longer strong in the arms and shoulders, so will suit me fine--to think I used to ride the thing solo !!!!! couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding now, never mind pull the bike up off the stand:doh: ____________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel:2133:can fly
  5. Hi Steve, Yes, looking to put c/t on back of bike. Am actually going to change from rig to voyager trike conversion so that I can keep riding. :happy65:I need to get on and off on the car side of bike, so am changing "big blue" (have right leg that won't bend much anymore) then will make holder for elbow crutches !! I want to run the conversion and the back tyre as c/t ____________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel :2133:can fly
  6. Hi Everyone, I have spent most of the day reading Darksider threads and seeking info on putting c/t on my venture. All of you have been very helpful, and I now have plenty of knowledge etc. to impart to hubby-----especially the fact that I will end up with more sex appeal after fitting a c/t every bit helps at my age !! Now please be gentle with your quick-witted replies gentlemen I've just had a birthday and I'm a bit fragile right now ________________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel :2133:can fly

  12. Hi Tom & Debby, WOW !thanks for the invitation, riding Texas hill country sounds good. I think I'm about to blow the weekly budget by buying a lot more lottery tickets now These invitations sure are good incentive to get this old girl back on a bike. I was so worried about the cost of getting "big blue" changed for me to ride, but Alan (husband) hasn't batted an eyelid and informed me that life is for living AND riding :happy65:so look out world by the end of the year (and lots of physio) I shall be back riding again _____________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your guardian angel:2133: can fly

  14. Hi Don, It put a big grin on my face when I saw your reply :happy65:The dream is to do a riding tour of the U.S. one day, so thanks for the invitation if we win the lottery we will be off real quick !! The right knee doesn't bend much now and I need to get on and off the bike on the side where the sidecar is at present, so we have been investigating alternative ideas. I am going to sell the sidecar and have sent (over there) for a wedgetail trike conversion. Have to wait over two months for it to come. Leading link will stay on, but the brakes will be changed to linked brakes (braided lines) on the handlebar as I need the space where the back pedal is for my right foot. I don't have much strength in that foot anyway, to safely apply the back brake. Will post photo's of the progress when the project starts. And then after nearly two years I hope I will be back riding :7_6_3[1]:FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED _____________________________________________________________________ never ride faster than your angel:2133:can fly
