  9. If a lady can give her opinion.................... I had an '04 FJR and loved it!! Rode it across Australia and all over Tasmania Cried when I had to give her up. Had someone run into my back with a wheelchair at work and had to have a disc removed from my back. Unfortunately the nerve to my left leg was damaged and I can't ride in the "sport" bike position with my legs tucked back Until then I could ride all day on the FJR:sign woo hoo: As I am just a "Yammy" kinda girl I did my homework and decided the Venture was the answer for replacment bike. I like them for different reasons--so I'm with FJR Rider on the commments:thumbsup2: Glad I have the Venture and could put the outrider on it--can't do that with an FJR
  10. My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. Celebrate and remember his life, not his death-and remember all the ways he touched your life. GOD's blessing on you and your family
  11. Geez Bill, thank GOD you and Linda were'nt collected by something coming through the lights We all have the odd :sign **** happens: moment- stay safe you guys:thumbsup2:
  12. Hey everyone, thanks for the heads up on the nerve protection gloves :thumbsup2: Broke my thumb in the '07 accident and it is also aggrevated by pressure on the elbow crutches I have to use now:crying: BUT this looks like the answer to protect the nerves in my hands--so thanks again for the info :dancefool:
  13. Wish I could get the stebel horns our noise abatement laws here make them a tad illegal. My Krome Werks pipes just make it The police here will do random checks from time to time and "ouch" to the wallet if your pipes don't have the correct decibels. The bike gets a yellow sticker, which means you have so many days to rectify it and the bike then has to go over the pits at an inspection centre to get sticker removed:bowdown:
  14. I have Krome Werks pipes--and LOVE 'Em :clap2: I wear earplugs all the time, so don't know about them being too loud on long trips? Alan (hubby) is using bike for work at the moment, while he re-builds a bike, and he had to take the pipes off as too loud at 5am in morning when he leaves for work:rasberry:
  15. :rotf::clap2::rotf::clap2::rotf: Thanks for exercising the laugh muscles
  16. I think you'll find the fit is better if you REMOVE the rubber from the tank
  17. Okay-will do. Did you like your award??
  18. Sheep skin has natural lanolin in it, and the fabric (wool) is a natural fibre that "breathes"
  19. Bob, Just letting you know that the quick fist clamps arrived safely in the mail Thanks again :clap2:
