  3. You hang in there mate -- and God Bless your daughter:happy34: Give her a big hug from me will ya :bighug:My husband, Alan comes home from work and does the housework now. I'm going to buy a steam mop and see if I can do more to help. Luckily I have a four wheel drive Ford, which has the seats higher and I can get in and out carefully - and it's auto too.
  4. Yeah, and passing them cattle trucks just as one decides to go to the toilet  Go on - ask me how I know EL PONG-O just ask me :bang head:
  5. Prayers sent up, all the best to you. On a lighter note: you could always let the guys here come up with a new "name" for you :whistling: some of them would be guaranteed to make you laugh

  8. Hope things improve for you soon I can relate to that sittin' all the time makes the hips hurt like the dickens, don't it I am just back riding after nearly two years -- so agree with it being therapeutic for the soul
  9. Has anyone else had a problem with rust on the base of their aerial? Spotted the rust on the weekend. Is the best way to remove using fine paper then polishing?
  10. Dano, Have a question for ya............................... You posted on a thread that BigHack started saying that off-set brackets can be made to move the trunk back 2 inches on a 1st Gen ------- can the same thing be done on a 2nd GEn (2007)?????????????? We have moved the bolts to the second set of holes, but I was wondering if it is SAFE to move the trunk back further????????? If I could sit back a little further my stiff right leg would be in a better position on the bike and I wouldn't have to alter the seats so much.
  11. I used to drive trucks (you call 'em tractors) interstate with my husband, Alan year's ago. He is still driving the dang things after more than 40 years!! I agree with the helpful things said here -- but if you are over here PASS ON THE RIGHT SIDE. Alan drives a road train, which is tractor and three long trailers -- now they are fun to pass (not)
  12. YEAH, YAMA MAMA IS A POSTIN' :dancefool: :clap2:
  13. What a crack-up!! :crackup:The dancing dog on "the lion sleeps" is priceless Couldn't stop laughing :rotf:thanks for the site:thumbsup2:
  14. We call them "egg slicers" over here and our motorcycle safety people are always working to get rid of them
  15. What would I buy????????????? I would buy a new bike for my husband:thumbsup2: Since the accident(2007) he has sold the ute I bought him, and then his ST1300 -- to keep us going financially. Should have sold my bike, but he wanted to see me ride again:happy34: I day-dream about it often -- taking him to pick up his new machine !! Plan to do that if the insurance claim is successful. What bike would I get: Either an ST1300 or Kwaka Nomad, I think
  16. Yeah, Nomad withdrawal -- not a pretty sight!!!!!!!!!:duck:
  17. Okay, how about - does little Marcarl feel better now?
  18. Yep, that from me too!!
  19. What about this then??????????????????
  20. That sounds more like "FIREY FRIZBY" :rotf:
  21. Once the Voyager kit is on your bike the question is: Is this a trike, or a quad bike?????????? A trike has three wheels -- a quad has four As a RSV with kit on is somewhere in between, I decided they should have their own unique name, so here-on in they will be referred to as: A "QUIKE" :dancefool:
  22. Okay Gunboat, I guess we have to make allowances for some folk
  23. How about "Firey Footy" It's a night time game. Soak toilet rolls in fuel, light 'em up -- and then start playing "kick the ball" :rotf::rotf:Played it years ago, when I was young and agile. Gotta move quick, and DON"T try to catch the dang thing!! (Oh, and wear boots, not thongs or sandals OUCH!):crackup:
