    Why would I like the gauges?? Because they would come all the way from my wonderful friend, Freebird, and every time I looked at them on my bike I would think of him and all my wonderful friends in the U.S. :happy34: Now that is VERY special AND I Can't reach forward to use cassette player any way because the stiff leg restricts movement forward when sitting on my Quike:bang head: How am I doing so far???? Does it come under "safety equipment" like "safety chrome" ?? 'cause if it does.......... I GOTTA HAVE 'EM -- it's safety first you know:whistling: Okay I'll stop now:crackup:

    Venture Quike --- Dottie (after mum) or Big Blue Bike Camper --- Fred (after my dad) That way they feel like they are always with me!! (both have passed)

    We rode from Western Australia, across the Nullabor, to get to Melbourne to catch the ferry to Tasmania. We left late because Quickstep arrived home late from his trip in the truck - and we rode for days to make it!! 1563.5 miles was the longest stretch in that time NEVER want to do that again:crying:

    Thanks to Rick Butler's easy to follow instructions and pic's we saved some $$$$$ and decided to have a go at doing the seat mods ourselves. As I needed special bits here and there, on both seats and the back rest, we tackled them on the weekend AND it worked:clap2::clap2:Quickstep said the rider seat was more comfortable for him now, so that was a bonus as we were concentrating on getting it right for me! So thanks again Rick.

    Dolly Parton getting out of her tour bus, which had been stuck on the other side of the landslide. She asks where we are going, and on finding out we are all headed for Nashville, asks if she can come along for the ride as she is singing there that night. WEEEELLLLLL!!! The total scramble as the VR guys try to be the one to pillion Dolly!! Finally it is decided that she will ride with "Eck" and is he a happy boy:sign woo hoo: All bikes take off again, but the traffic is making things difficult, and there is a lot of stop-start riding for a while. At the next fuel stop Aussie Annie notices that Eck has this silly grin on his face:big-grin-emoticon: and seems to be in a stunned frame of mind. "Eck, what the 'eck is wrong" she asks. NO RESPONSE. Bubba walks up and slaps him upside the head, and finally Eck is able to talk. "WOW" he stutters, that was amazing. "What??" we all ask. Eck looks around with a silly grin and says, "back there with all that stop-start riding the weirdest thing kept happening - every time I had to brake I got hit in the back of the head -- with a set of Dolly Partons!! Now all the other guys' are arguing over who is going to take the singer the rest of the way to Nashville when Aussie Annie looks up the road and yells, "look, what's that headin' this way?"...................
