  4. thank you friends planning me a mid-week ride now, if the weather stays good
  5. I agree with Marcarl, I think the seat is too wide and it is placing your hips/pelvis in an uncomfortable position. This was the case for me. We did the Butler seat mod (everything sent over) But I had to narrow off the front sides of the seat more, and also place another piece of memory foam down the centre of the seat. My butt has the padding but due to the stiff leg my seating position changed. Oh, I also took some off the back of the seat. (have Flanders bars too--more pull-back) Best of luck

  9. :sign yeah that: Ben, give yourself time to heal (mentally & physically) It's been 21/2 years since my bad accident, and Quickstep (Alan) knows what it means to me to ride. My shoulder's were damaged as well as the legs and I don't have upper body strength..so I put a trike kit on the bike. When the time is right, you will know what to do...but, be true to yourself as: "only you make you happy" everyone else enriches that! :bighug::bighug:

  14. This morning I decided to make a brace for the lower leg by cutting down a wrap-around brace I had been given the first time the fixator came off. Asked Quickstep to cut down the metal plates than run through it...and Hey presto! made a shorter version. But would it work Asked Quickstep if he fancied a ride into Fremantle for a coffee, and he said why not! Sooooo............... YEEHAW: Took my first ride on the Quike since before Christmas. :dancefool: WOOF WOOF: Only a dog would understand the wind in the face feeling!! Riding the bike is the one thing I can do independently, and feel able bodied I'm a happy little venture rider.
