  7. Well, we have the didg now. Alan has started watching the DVD and doing the exercises to strengthen his cheek muscles So, puff up your cheeks full of air, then slowly push it out through a small hole in the lips [as if your are whistling] Push out under pressure...your cheeks will ache as if you have laughed too much. Maybe practise using the vaccuum cleaner hose :rotf::rotf:

  11. Quickstep got hearing aids about four years ago...they sit in the box in a drawer. He apparently doesn't want to wear them out--'cause he never uses them He will probably pack 'em, but wont use 'em. So please excuse me if I talk loudly...been doing it for years, so he can hear me
  12. About five years ago a resident where I worked ran into the back of me with her electric wheelchair Was sent to physio. He said I needed to see a surgeon!! Yep, back surgery for pinched nerve. My left leg was dying! [nerves] now the accident three years ago has un-done surgery nerve pain and numbness in hip and upper thigh to knee. Just be aware that if you have tingling, or numbness it could mean the nerve is pinched...and it can die!!

THE ODE: They shall grow not old, As we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning We will remember them LEST WE FORGET
