Its kind of neat, those of you that are not aware, there is a thread in the fun and frivolous section. It is a word association game where you type in one word, the next post adds a word that has some meaning to add to your word. Anyway, in roughly 14 months that it has been going, the thread is now 179 pages long with just over 2670 posts! I thought it would be fun to do, but I am kind of surprised its been going on this long with that many comments. NEAT..... So if you have not taken part in it yet, jump on in. It is fun and it would be cool to see it keep on going! Lets shoot for a Venturerider record number of posts......

This is awesome, thanks Puc, Tippy, and Hoss. 2 things that I cant believe 1. You were in Brookings, home of the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits and didn't end up with a cool SDSU cap. The jackrabbit logo is pretty cool, and they just played the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA basketball tourney a few years ago. We lost of course 2. MOST IMPORTANTLY.....SDSU has their own ice cream, and it is awesome. Never mind DQ when you are in Brookings....... Also forgot to add, my son is a SDSU graduate. GO JACKS!!!

I would love to get over there for PIP, timing isn't so hot as far as fall harvest goes. I hate it when making a living gets in the way of fun.....

If any of you notice anything in your yard that isn't supposed to be there, like lawn furniture, whole houses, busses.......Please send them back to South Dakota. Its a tad windy here, Central South Dakota had wind gusts of 83 mph last night, with Pierre (our capital) coming in at 78 mph. Mitchell (Corn Palace) had winds of 76 mph. That is equivalent to a F1 tornado. Winds supposed to blow 50 plus for most of the state today. Hope you guys don't get beat up like this in the next few days.......

A terrible thought just came into my head. As much attention as I paid in high school English class, and with the grades I got, I bet every one of my posts have been misunderstood........If the grammar police ever catch me, they will throw away the key........

Well put Don. I like you own a HD Road Glide, and am used to all the "stuff" that goes along with it. Although owning a HD is a common thing, this is not a HD site, so you need to accept the fact that you are the minority here and what you ride goes against the norm. Disagreements and tons of friendly ribbing are the norm, and not just on certain threads. Its all over on here, but its all good. I keep coming back and like it here. I wish I got 1.00 $ for every time I read the word "Hardley" on here. That alone would almost make me a comfortable living. There has been more than one time where I had my feathers ruffled over something posted on here, but before typing a reply I sit back and take a break for awhile to let myself cool down and it has served me well. I was always told growing up to be careful what you say because you can never take it back. Well you cant ever take back what you type either. Last but not least, I love the friendly ribbing. Humor is a great thing, and is one of the reasons I come here. Everything is so good natured, even the criticism. I have enough of lets be brutally honest through out the day. If this site were like that I probably wouldn't be here. I went back and read through the Voyager thread, and I can see both sides of it. I can see how some Voyager guys could get angry (I've been there with the HD's), and I can see the other side too. I had nothing to add because I have no direct knowledge of them other than what they look like. But my reply surely would have some sort of humor in it whether it would of been in support of the Voyager or against it. Humor tends to disarm a situation more than it escalates it.

one more thing in the black hills. Your kids would love a train ride. Do the 1880s train. it is an 1880 vintage train, and it takes about a half hour trip through the black hills. I'm sure you can find a vid of it on you tube

Badlands and Black Hills aren't all that far apart. Number 1 tourist trap close to Badlands is Wall Drug. Cimmer is right, lots to do in the Black Hills. Depending on how big your RV is, might not want to do needles highway. Some of the tunnels re pretty tight. If you are pulling a camper, unhook before you drive around the hills. Badlands themselves are pretty cool. Its a park, so you will have to pay the entrance fee to make the loop. Last time I went through, we entered by the town of Wall, where Wall Drug is located. Its touristy but your kids might like it, and a good place to pick up some trinkets/souvenires. Biggest thing about the Badlands, s time of year and time of day. It can get hot, and no shade. If forecast for the day you go is really hot, try to go in morning. I'm sure I will think of more. bring this up again as trip gets closer, I'm sure we can add to it.

I was in the chat room with Flyinfool and Freebird was in there correcting a slight problem. He got it fixed lickety split, and I suggested that some day maybe he could stick around and visit. He said he would love to, but had to run. When he left I commented to Flyinfool that Don is like Superman......He just doesn't need a phone booth. I think Superman would be a good Avatar for Don. Perhaps there would be another super hero that would be better. What do ya think? Remember, you cant use Chuck Norris because Chucks alive and he's not a cartoon hero......
