    Times must be gettin tough. The local small town bank got robbed this afternoon. Don't have all the specifics, other than they caught the guys. They made it about 60 miles away. As far as I know nobody got hurt. They never think that a small town bank will be tough, but they never realize that the locals know everybody in town, and can spot something out of place right away. Police got a great description and didnt take long to get them.

    I gotta say that was really neat, she's lucky to have that. I didnt quite expect to see it from that kind of view. I bet she doesnt mind you running around filming her now! The music makes it special. You deserve a pat on the back for doin that!

    i've got an 08 Tundra. Nice truck, quiet, nice ride, fuel mileage isnt the best. I don't look for the best mileage when I buy a truck, or i'll never get what I need. The trans. is great for towing. 6 speed auto, but you can switch it over to a manual trans. no clutch. my truck is bucket seats with shifter on console beside your seat. All you do is move the shifter over in the shift pattern and the truck automatically goes into 4th gear. Then all you do to shift gears is "bump" the shifter forward for 5th, or backward for 3rd etc. it's pretty slick. use this along with the tow haul button and it's a nice set up. Would work real well in the mountains I would guess. I live is So Dak. so i havent got it into the mountains yet. Have pulled a trailer quite a bit. In the last 10 years I've had 2 dodges and 2 fords. This is the best of em all. So far I've put 20000 miles on it and love it. By the way, power isn't a problem:hihi::hihi:

    i saw these advertised on a website, looked awesome. Didnt have enough guts to get em though. Couldnt find any sound clips either. Bought Barons bag slash instead, no guts! They sure look nice. I must say that i'm not sorry i bought the Barons:hurts:

    I had my tire dealer tell me just last week, that if you plug a tire (auto) and you have a warranty on it. It will void your warranty.

    Hi Red, If you are looking for a different way to the hills, maybe try U.S. hwy 212. It runs all the way across So.Dak. Won't have all the tourist traps. A great place to eat on the way is Bob's steak house. Located on east bank of missouri river(west of Gettysburg S.Dak). Dont know if they are open for noon lunches etc. Steaks are huge! They use local beef. One thing to remember is to fill with fuel in Eagle Butte ( first town west of missouri river). Not much between Eagle Butte and the hills. When you get out to the hills, you'll come out in a town called Belle Fourche. It is only about 10 miles north of Sturgis, on the north end of the black hills. I live in NE So. Dak., never taken that road on the bike, but quite a few times in the car. The road is fairly well traveled. lots of truckers use it. It may be a bit too far north for you, but it is an alternative to the interstate. I forgot, you can also fill with fuel in Faith as well. Just remember anything west of the Missouri river is cowboy country, few and far between. If you want to see the open prarie, thats a good route for you. Hope this helps! BJ66

    went out to push snow this morning at 7:00. 10 inches of blown in snow and a balmy -9 below 0 here in South Dakota. The day before yesterday it was 37 degrees. Just another day in paradise I guess!!!

    it's been a week since I put em on. I probly went out and fired it up 3 or 4 times since. Still grinnin like an idiot!!! I think I made the right choice. The only problem now is the 10 inches of snow we got today. Guess i'll wait a lot longer to get it out and go for a ride.

    just stick with it. Although I wasn't a smoker, I used to "chew" . I did that for 18 years. All of the sudden one day I just decided that was enough. I tried to quit a few times over the years, but was never serious. Deep down inside if you want to quit, you will. Once I got over the hump it has been pretty easy. Everything is better, especially the food! Once i got over the hump with the chew, I decided what the heck, i'll quit drinkin too! Didn't know if I could pull that off! It's been 7 years and still goin strong. My point is, if you want to quit than you can. Talk is cheap! you can do anything you put your mind too! Keep it up it'll work, I'm proof of that.

    I put a stereo on my RSTD last fall. Ordered a cheaper set. It is a fm tuner with a 100 watt amp and speakers. The speakers are 3" i believe, and waterproof. The tuner isnt waterproof. ordered a handlebar mount for a cb radio. mounted right on top, used velcro along with the rubber strap that came with it. Added my xm radio on it as well, actually doesnt look too bad. Used an old auto dash mount for that. If i remember right I ordered the stereo from "gooddeals18.com" only paid about 80 bucks. Can hook up an ipod also if you want.

    by the way I had a myfi for at least 3 years. buttons broke, just got an Xpress EZ the other day. They have the same antenna connection and the cradles mount on the same dashmounts etc. Didn't have to change a thing.

    just get an extra magnetic antenna. run the wire where you want it and plug it in. That way all you have to do is move the radio. I did that in my pick-up, and my semi. Also did that in my farm tractor. Quick and easy, I think they cost about 20 bucks.

    another to go along with this... we used to go down to the local bar,cafe,town hall,meeting place, all wrapped up into one. We'd get a pop and play pinball. You better not have left your key in the bike, or you'd be walkin around town lookin for it. Somebody would take it and hide it. Usually it would only take 20 or 30 minutes to find it. Good thing it was a small town.

    I live in small town America. We used to ride our motorcycles into little league games. You had to be carefull. The other kids would turn up your idle screw so when you started your bike, it would be screaming. We did that to a fried of mine, he gave it a kickstart and it was in gear. The bike shot out from underneath him, and tried to climb the backstop. When it flipped over onto the ground the rear tire was spittin gravel all over everybody. Talk about funny, lucky nobody got hurt. The funny thing is 35 years ago you could do something like that and it was ok. That was neat, 3 or 4 of us had 90 cc kawasaki dirt bikes. Those were the days!!!

    I was goin to get mine out yesterday. middle 30's in north east so. dak. Highway was dry, but the driveway was a little icy. didnt want to risk it. Got a light snow today. close but no cigar!

    My neighbor came over when I finished putting them on, he rides an ultra classic. He was impressed, he said the only problem was that the handle bars didnt shake enough! I told him that " thats supposed to be a bad thing?". Anyway he loves the sound of them.

    I installed some Barons slash cuts on my RSTD this morning. Like them alot, but they are loud as well. Won't be able to get the bike out for awhile, too much snow. I would imagine that they sound louder in the shed than outside. But either way its loud. It's been a couple of hours since I switched and i'm still grinning, so they do sound nice though.

    received my slip ons last night. put them on this morning. Yes the Barons are loud, but I put them on about 2 hours ago and I'm still grinning! I'll run them this way for awhile, if I decide later i'll pack them to quiet them down a little. The only thing I didn't like was the clamp. A chrome clamp would look better. Now all I need is for the snow to melt so I can get it out for a drive! woohoo!!!

    I agree 100%, but my glasses frames are so thin that I cant hardly get them past my cheekpads. I cant wear contacts either. Thought that a modular might be my solution

    I'm looking for a new helmet. Need a modular, I wear glasses. What are your opinions on a good, reliable, SAFE helmet. Prefer not to break the bank. Also realize that, most often you get what you pay for.
