  1. I think I would have to look real hard at a Voyager, followed by Road king. Like the idea of a fixed fairing. Then after that id look at a wing 3rd. Just because of the riding position. Lastly the Ultra. I ride a RSTD now, so next will be a full fairing. Dont like the Visions looks, and the cross roads is nice but not a full fairing.
  2. How about Atlanta Rhythm Section----Spooky, plus they had a few others you could also go with some 50's/60's----Soundtrack to American Graffiti also some one hit wonders The Kings-----Switchin to Glide OXO----Whirly Girl John Stewart-----Gold The Romantics----Shake a Tail Feather The Knack-----My Sharona/ Good Girls Dont 70's Groups Styx Foreigner Boston Fleetwood Mac Crap now I gotta go on ITUNES:scared:
  3. Those of you who know me from the chat room, know that I farm for a living. Mother nature has decided to make it extremely difficult for us in my area. We have been extremely wet for the last year and a half. Here a a few pictures that are kind of cool. The outfit that is stuck spreads fertilizer prior to seeding the ground. He got stuck in a sinkhole. The rest of the ground is fit for planting, It took us a full day to get him out, using a backhoe, and 2 4wd tractors. AINT FARMING FUN!
  4. If to many more people see these pics, you just might see another bike like that. That looks sharp.
  5. Since it was another wet, rainy day. I decided to put the farming aside for a bit. I rolled the bike out from the back corner of the shop and did some maintenance on it. Changed the oil, went through the air filters, topped off the anti-freeze etc. Gotta tell you, it made for a nice peacefull day! Oh and of course i just had to start it and listen to it for a few minutes.
  6. I have these same chaps and love them. I also got them at a local farm store. I bought these cause i could try them on. No regrets, comfortable to boot. I wouldnt worry about ordering from leatherup either. I have gotten a jacket from them. I had to exchange for a larger size. Other than that it is a well made jacket. I will order from them again, can save some major bucks. Hope this helps
  7. WELCOME TO THE SITE! you can also check out the chat room during the evenings. There are usually people there you can get to know a bit.

    blue RSV

    here is a 08 RSTD in blue/black
  9. We cant tell you until we see pictures!!
  10. I put the bakup on my 08 RSTD when i bought the bike. dealer gave me a break as and accessory when I bought it. I like it alot. Still spendy though. I bought it before i joined this site or maybe id of got something else and saved a few bucks. As far as the rest goes, it is comfortable and highly adjustable. It mounts really easily, wont take 10 minutes to do it. I like the fact that it is spring loaded to fold forward. I tend to swing a leg over rather than step through when I get on. The spring loaded part makes that really nice. Here is a pic of it mounted on my bike. It looks nice paired to stock seat as well.
  11. Here are some of my family and I. Disney World of course, a lot of years ago, and recent. Crap, took me 5 years to get hair, and another 20 to lose it!
  12. Gotta love that deal. I'm jealous (of the bike)!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. that was a "before" picture. I dont really have a good picture of "after". I have also added passing lamps, so i'll show ya what I got
  14. I used a roady in my pickup and had it set up for my bike as well. I cancelled my yearly subscription. The sound quality was terrible. I didnt hardly listen to it. The volume control was turned up as loud as it would go and it wasnt half of what my vehicle's stereo would do. It was really bad. It sounded muddy and hollow. Hopefully it was just my outfit. I had a mifi for about 3 or 4 years and loved it. It finally broke, so i went cheap and inexpensive. I guess i got what i paid for. Hope not everyone has same experience as I did. I no longer have XM or Sirius, and I wont go back either.
  15. I have the Dunlop 404's on. I wish there was more choice, but so far I am happy with them. I cant complain or knock them. Here it is
  16. I would brace them. I asked same question on here and got several replies saying definately.
  17. I think we have a winner!!!!!
  18. Glad to hear you are coming along nicely, and it sounds like your spirits are up. Isnt life great. A guy can find positives in almost any situation.
  19. The best part of Easter, aside from the religious, is having the little kids and watching them with the dyed eggs etc. And even better than that, is all the egg salad sandwiches after it is all over. Gotta love that........( I was going to add a smiley here, but I couldnt find one with a fat gut to accurately depict my love for egg salad.)
  20. Wasnt to harsh was I? Hope not, I always find best way to get over things is with a little humor. It was all in fun. Hope you realize I wasnt trying to make anything about riding abilities or anything. Usually that kind of thing always happens to me. It is kind of refreshing to see I am not the only guy with that kind of luck. If this little ordeal doesnt teach your son to have respect for a bike, nothing will. Come to think of it, if this would happen to me, my wife wouldve brought home one of those horns that clowns have. It would probly have a nice bow on it too.
  21. Well since we've met i can give you a little ribbing. No. 1-- I now know that you are not one of the clowns in face paint riding in the shriners parade. No. 2-- If I am wrong in that assumption, I'm guessing your clown shoes got stuck between the shifter and the footpeg. All kidding aside, sorry to hear about the little mishap. Lucky it happened where it did. Could of been somewhere where there was traffic etc. Count yourself lucky that is all I can say. Oh and one more thing, the Shrine Circus is in Aberdeen this week. Guess I wont be seeing you either way. Watching or working!!!!!!! Sorry couldnt resist. Get better soon my friend. Later Bernie
  22. I hope the 32's fit good for ya. Mine are a shade too long. Did ya get the JC whitneys? Put up a couple of pics so I can see the difference. Then I can see how big of a mistake I made going with the 36's. Now the biggest problem you will have is trying to outrun that throaty sounding noise that keeps chasing you all over. Get ready to have your fuel mileage take a hit.
  23. http://www.vtwinmfg.com/Catalog1/VTwinCatalogIndex1.htm This is the company. I ordered them from Northshore Motorsports off of ebay. I received them and 1 was dented. They replaced it no questions asked. Paid about 80 bucks apiece. They are 36 inch long pipes. You have to make your rear mounting brackets. They are a smooth pipe. As far as sound, they are loud. Check out the Barons slash cut sound clip. Awfull similar. Hope this helps. BJ
  24. I finally got my fishtails mounted today. They are a tad long, but I like them. I had to make the rear mounting brackets, because they came without. I didnt want to use hanger brackets, so I used stainless steel. I welded the bracket on the inside of the pipe, and didnt have much discoloration. I apologize for the bike being dirty, but just took it ot of hibernation. All in all I am pleased with them.
