No real plans have been made, but we could meet here first and ride over together. Since I got rid of the ABATE Regional Rep job after 12 years, I won't be leading the parade with my 8 foot flag pole this year, so I'll need to be last with it instead. I'll say be here noon or before, we can meet and BS for a while, and we'll head to line up about 12:15. We'll have coffee and water and beer and some sodas available. And we've got some ice cream in the freezer if anybody is inclined. See you all tomorrow, Scooter Bob

We usually just carry the little tent and a couple sleeping bags in the box. I think it's way better than having it stacked on top of the trunk, and it stays dry!
-
Didn't want our gear getting wet, so we built ours with a box, and lights.

Ya, it was supposed to be a must see, just like Sturgis. I'd been to Sturgis enough times over the years to know I didn't want to be there again during bike week. I am not a big fan of crowds either. But I always told folks I would go to Daytona some day, but I would ride down. 2 years ago was the year. Rode straight South, hit a VRMD in Loozeaner ( thanks Ken and Beth) and then headed to FL. Took my time, went down near Tampa first, and got to Daytona on Tuesday afternoon. Got in as far as the Speedway, checked out some vendors, had 1 beer, bought a couple T-shirts, and headed to the ABATE campground SE of Daytona a ways. Had a great time that night at the campground, ran into a guy I knew from WI, I was about the only one drinkin' beer that night. I guess 45-50 degrees is cold in FL, I thought it was great compared to what I left a few days earlier. But, I'd already seen enough of Daytona. I did leave the next day headed back nort. I had my T-shirts, I was there, I rode from WI, and I will probably never go back again. Like Don said, if you like that kinda thing, great. I can assure you, I won't be there for a bike week again. But I may be down thata way in a couple weeks to visit my brother in Ocala though.

I read the original post, I read all the other helpful replies, and then wrote mine. The I re-read the original post. Makes me wonder if there is some metal tube he is talking about near the spark plug, the doesn't have a line on it. I just tried to look in by mine, but didn't see anything. I've got to leave for a bit, but if noone has it figured out when I get back, I'll check the manual and see if there is something there.

On my way home the other day, I saw an inflatable leprichaun, way taller than a real leprichaun, in somebodies front yard. I stopped the bike for a good shot, grabbed the camera, then remembered I'm the one who set the target. Happy Hunting, Scooter Bob The current target is... A pic of you and your bike and some St Patrick's Day decoration. by Scooter Bob

I'll really try to help Rick. I think Darthandy is probably right. OK, lets try this again. Do you have small vacuum tubes connected to two of your four carb sync ports near the bottom of the intake runners? Stock bikes with the AIS all hooked up should have caps on the left rear (#1) and right front(#4) ports, and vacuum tubes on the left front(#2) and right rear(#3). If someone removed/disabled/plugged or otherwise discombobulated the AIS, then you may have plugs on all 4 test posts, and that may be one of the leftover tubes you see. If you have vacuum lines on two of your test ports, then we'll have to investigate further. See the tech section here for info on plugging the AIS for some pictures.

We live at 108 Rosedale Ave. Rosedale is a North-South st that "T"s into west Crocker St on the North end. We're the second place South of Crocker St on the East side of the Street. See you Tomorrow, Scooter Bob

NO Those were easy questions! LOL See you there? When? Later, Scooter Bob

Later in the afternoon is good. Ken was talking 4-6pm, depending on what route he took getting here. You might want to call him and meet up somewhere:confused24:, I think he was looking to put a lot of miles on getting here.

Just got done cleaning up/out the garage. Parked the Venture Snowmobile out back for the summer (never got to ride it this winter:bang head:) Should be able to get Bubber's bike in here along with mine and Ken's and Bill's.

Can you put the nut on the other side of the bracket? Do you even need the bolt if it's backed all the way out? Later, Scooter Bob
-
I added the nut when I got mine too. I rode HDs for 18 years, and wouldn't have considered not locking it down. I thought they forgot it. Great backrest though, had mine 6 1/2 years now. Later, Scooter Bob

You bet. We're in the city, but we have plenty of room.

Is there camping available Friday and Saturday nights?
-
She's gotta work from 4-8 Saturday night, but she'll be here after that, and ridin' with me on Sunday for the parade. Come on Down, we could turn this into a VR M&E. I've got a big hammer and a jig saw also, so we could have an MD as well.

Hey Bill, Ken (Shrek) is going for a putt on Saturday and is planning on crashing (stayin') here Saturday night. We can find another couch or an air mattress if you want to stay here Sat night. I should warn you though, Karen's daughter and her 6 yo and 10 mo live here as well as 2 big dogs and a cat. We can lock the dogs in by us, but if you're awake, you're going to have to be throwin' the tennis ball for one dog. If you can deal with that, you're welcome to stay. We're 4 blocks from downtown, and I'm sure there will be plenty of crazy folks to laugh at on Sat night already:crackup:. Or we can have a campfire in the driveway and drink beer and BS. Later, Scooter Bob PS, the way this weather looks, it might be campin' time already.

In the middle of March in Wisconsin. Two RSVs at the factory today. I'll have to go see if a third one is on the other side of the plant. Later, Scooter Bob

Tonka trucks continue to be manufactured in Minnetonka, Minnesota, despite the thousands of GI Joe dolls killed by them annually in rollover accidents. No airbags, no seat belts. These things are deathtraps, I tell ya! Just about fell out of my chair on that one.:rotfl: Thanks Deb

That time of year again. The Parade is coming up this Sunday, March 18, 2012 Everyone's It's the unofficial start of riding season in Dodge County, WI. Our ABATE region has had an entry in this parade for better than 25 years. We've had as many as 80 bikes on the warmer years. Line up is on Crocker St, about 3 blocks south of downtown, off highway 33. Parade starts at 1, downtown party afterwards. If anyone here wants to join us, and would like more details, let me know. From the looks of the weather forecast:sun:, I think there will be waayy more than the 1 bike that was in it last year at 35 degrees and pouring rain. Later, Scooter Bob and Karen P.S. Our 05 midnite will be there with an 8 foot flag pole on the hitch.

That's my right arm out and up holdin' the camera/phone in the mirror. I thought I had a bit of my face in when I took the pic, but the camera sensors must have took it out for safety reasons.
-
I didn't look at it that close, but I bet the guy didn't make the half barrel either. It's really up to Joe, I guess I wasn't really lookin' for home made, just unique. The more I look at the pic, it may have come from a John Deere dealer or something like that. I'll be ridin' in the parade in Fox Lake again, like I've done for over 20 years now.
-
Hey Joe, is that a Constellation in the third pic?
-
Ya, But it is shaped like a lot of the barns we were lookin' at. Good Catch Rick.

http://img.tapatalk.com/a6b50327-25bd-8300.jpg Yah, I was just stirin' the pot with that one Joe. Howa bout this one? IH Truck should like it anyway? If it meets the criteria, the next target is... A pic of you and your bike and some St Patrick's Day decoration. Later, Scooter Bob
