I'm not sure what light bar you're talking about, but if you're talking about driving lights or saddle bag lights or any lights on the rear other than the red blob on the fender and the turn signals, they were added on. After reading your signature text, looks like you'll be a different type of person now. Sorry to hear about the wreck, what happened?

Rural Retreat Va to Cape Girardeau, MO this week
Scooter Bob replied to etcswjoe's topic in Watering Hole
Hopefully not so direct you can't look for an "oil well pump jack" on the way. -
Last I knew, our Captain Rick scored Illinois, and is looking for someone to pass it to. Later, Scooter Bob

Never mind Rick, I withdraw my offer for this weekend. I think you better send it some other direction first. That "S" word is in the forecast around here Friday night and Saturday morning. Due to other plans, I won't be able to consider taking it again till the 12th. Later, Scooter Bob

I've been in 2 accidents with an MC in 250,000 miles or so, and both were deer hits. What I learned from this last one was the deer whistles aren't much good on the fender. I picked them up the next morning and threw them out in the marsh grass. Hopefully the next deer will trip over them and then they would be more usefull. Oh, and I don't ride after dark anymore, because I just can't see as good as I would like to.

Something like this...

While I was in the Hollander town of Waupun...Also known as Prison City here in WI... I snagged this pic of the biggest windmill in the city... For your next target... A pic of you and your bike and and OIL WELL PUMP JACK. Working or not, or a display of one. Happy Hunting, Scooter Bob

Better Late than Never... This was my plan 9 days ago, before my factory original battery decided to puke after less than 91,000 miles.

Sorry to hear that Karl. Maybe you can offer to take it home for a weekend to do a free oil change on it every other weekend. And score a target on the oil warming up ride, or the oil leak checking ride. Later, Scooter Bob PS, If I can think up the next target while at work today, I should have that windmill afterwards. Next target is; you, your bike and a windmill. Can be a real one, fake one, fancy mailbox, etc..by DanOh

Hey Capyton, What direction do want to send it on first? If you want to send it Westerly first, I might be able to grab it Saturday, score Madison, and get it towards Ioway or Minysoda. But that's kinda commiting to sending it on a looong journey right away. Later, Scooter Bob

That white bike must be one of them first gens I've heard about. I see it's always out front. Looks like you guys had a great time. Thanks for the pics Bryan, or should I say Lisa. Later, Scooter Bob

More pics would be a good thing. Fer some reason I can't see any of those at that FB link. Perhaps cus I'm not a member?

Thanks for the nice old engine pic. Any idea what it was? I can't make out name on the bottom. It looks somewhat like an old 2 stroke diesel. Enjoy the rest of your trip guys. Later, Scooter Bob

From the looks of this pic, I'd say Rick lost a lot of weight wrestling that RSV up and down that driveway. Glad ya'll had a nice trip. Later, Scooter Bob

Do you put a trunk on everything?

A buck a mile for for all the miles I've ridden, I don't think so. Please enjoy riding with whatever gear makes you comfortable doing so. But please understand both sides, and let the rest of us enjoy riding dressed how we are comfortable as well. P.S. Karen says that we are born in the USA, freedom of choice is a constitutional right. There are risks in everything we do in life, not just being on a motorcycle. This is the farthest I rode to find the right target http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20503&page=67 post #992 Only had around 950 miles or so in on this one 30 miles from Playboys house when I found it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20503&page=125 post #1871 It's all what you want to make of it guys. For us, it's usually a reason to get out on the back roads and look around at the scenery. And I so enjoyed seeing Playboy's Karen (not my Karen) pointing out the "elevated mode of transportation" and the "hubcaps on buildings" as we rode together to the SE TX MD a couple weeks ago. We've also hit many targets within 30 miles of home, just because they were there. That's what it's all about folks. Enjoy the Ride, however you can. Later, Scooter Bob The current target is... a picture of You and Your Bike next to any "Welcome to "Insert State here" sign". by TWIGG

Hey Karl, maybe you could beat them all. Is there any ferry landings from Canada over thata way? Perhaps Welcome to Michigan and the good ole US of A. Later, Scooter Bob

I did a target like this a few years ago, found a two lane crossing at the IL border just east of Beloit. Of course Dyno Don might find his closest sign in the middle of a bridge over the Mississippi.

At least he was riding a Yamaha.

Is the rest of the head of the axle bolt supported all the way through the swingarm?? Mine has about that much axle head showing between the swingarm and the caliper bracket spacer as well, but the outside is supported all the way through the swingarm. If the head is all the way theough the swingarm, I'd suspect all is well and normal.

No, they didn't help with pic 5, and they weren't big enough to get that left muffler off of Playboy's bike either. Later, Scooter Bob -

I'm a little disappointed in myself for not doing anything crazy enough to get in a pic. Of course I am partly responsible for the condition of the bike in pic #5. -
So...Did you guys make it through all the storms alright??

Well said Dan.
