This isn't the chart I was looking for, but it may help till I find the other one. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5881

As an added note, if you have the vent holes and add the extra fuel... Ride it right away. Cold fuel from the ground will expand some as it warms up to outside air temp. If you fuel up and then sit down to eat, or park it at work, you will lose some of that fuel onto the ground from the overflow tube.

I don't see any grade stamp on the bolt head. Looks like it was made to be pretty. Since braking doesn't stress the bolt, except when backing up, I would think any grade you can find would be fine. Better grade might get better corrosion protection though.

10mm dia. 1.25 mm thread pitch. 30mm under the flange length, If you can't get a flanged bolt, I would look for 32mm and fit a washer. Happy shopping, Scooter Bob

Give me a couple minutes, looks like I can take that one out without taking the bag off. I'll check it and get right back to you.

Do you use a 6 or 7 wire connector? Just wonderin' how you activate the horn? Sorry Owl, couldn't stop my fingers in time:doh:, Scooter Bob

As said by a few here, the guage and low fuel sensor are somewhat inconsistent. The tank on the bike before the deer hit 2 years ago took 4.5 if I hit a gas station as soon as the light went on (ps, I just leave mine on reserve,). The new tank, or they bent something when the guage got swapped, only takes 4.3 at the same point. But, I have run as far as putting 5.5 gallons in, and I don't have my filler neck vented, YET. And I haven't walked, YET. Just my , Scooter Bob

I don't know what they get for the "Butler" cup holder, but the "barefootwillies.com" is $20 everywhere I've seen it, and it works fine on the 2nd gen like you just bought. I'll try to find a pic of it in place, I know there is one somewhere on this site. Here it is, and here's a lot more ideas. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52444&highlight=cockpit

A year after I bought my 05 new, I took it to Sturgis in 06. There was a guy at the yamy tent with a 99 with 221,000 on it, only 7 years old. He was from Florida, and retired. He odviously had way more time to ride than I do. My 05 only has 83,000 on it now.

It's gonna be a long summer for those wind turbine builder crews. Since I posted just after noon two days ago, they've moved the crane to the next build site, and that's it! Too windy the last two days. They've got 87 left to build, and have managed less than 1 in the last week. I'll keep heading over there as long as I'm off work and it's not windy. I'd love to see all those pieces get set. We'll see what happens.

Due to the concern of the trailer dragging or catching on something and causing you to wreck, I know of a couple riders that use those pretty chains you see in the waiting line at the bank. Shiny black plastic, never rusts, looks good to the cops, and should break and get that trailer way from the bike if it came unhooked. I always ran steel crossed chains, but always made sure it was coupled well. Make sure the under ball catch is under the ball, not on top, and check it often.

Until somebody can check it out at Kenny's, if you know you want neutral, do it when moving, just before you stop (5-10MPH). You'll have a better match of engine speed to wheel speed, and the gears slack and it will should fall right in. Enjoy the rest of your trip, Scooter Bob

Oh, what some prospects won't do to get into a club.
-
Nope, I just talked to him. He's in Loozeanner right now, and headed for Birmingham(I think) and back to Wisconsin by Saturday. Unfortunately, he doesn't even have time to hang around for Kenny and Beth's MD.

I'm sure the price of the bike dropped back down, after the big jump when they made the CD changer standard.

Where did you put it? Since it's a cheap one, (not a put down, I have the ONYX), you'll have to keep it dry. I carry a few sandwich bags and twist ties in the little pouch between the latches in my 2nd gen saddlebag. If it looks like rain, I just put a bag over it and keep on going. I also bag my $100 garmin nuvi. But, since I've enjoyed having both for over a year now, I may break down and get one of the combined systems when one of these craps out? Just my , Scooter Bob PS, mines usually on the Roadhouse, oldies country; or else the bluegrass channel.

After reading the first line, I thought it was a different joke. The boy asks the pharmacist why the condoms come in packs of 3, 6, and 12. Well, says the pharmacist, it's like this. The 3 pack is for the high school kids... one for Friday, one for Saturday, and one for Sunday. The 6 pack is for the college kids... two for Friday, two for Saturday, and two for Sunday. The 12 pack is for the married man... One for January, one for February,...

:crying: They must have figured something else out to get that rotor turned. I left the build site at 10:30am. At noon I went to my lookout spot here in town, and could see a blade at 1 Oclock position so I head back to the site to watch that third blade being installed. As I'm driving over there, I start thinking I about what I didn't see... THE CRANE BOOM was missing. Sure enough, in 1 and a half hours, they got the rotor turned, installed the third blade, and had lowered the crane back down. I guess I'll start watching for the next one to go up.
-
Spotted a tower section parked on the side of the road, and then it drove by my viewing site.
-
Back home, They need to replace the motor that turns the rotor assembly. This one just doesn't have enough power to turn the assembly to get two blade on one side and the empty hole horizontal to take the third blade. I'll head back in a couple hours and see how they're doing. In the mean time, here's a few pics from this morning...
-
I sure am lonely! Got over here to the build site at 8:30 and they were already unhooking the crane from that second blade. Not sure what the hold up is now, blade number 3 has been hanging for an hour now. I think they're having problems getting the rotor turned to get the third hole horizontal. Pics to follow when I get home. Later, Scooter Bob

Hey Keemez, I found out if I look from the top of a hill on the very west side of town I can see the build site 6 miles away, and there was still nothing happening at 7pm tonight. The weatherman is talking chance of fog in the morning (which means no wind), and max 10 mph winds tomorrow. I think tomorrow is the day, and, if you meet me here in Fox Lake, I will ride over with you.(on seperate bikes of course). Later, Scooter Bob
-
Good plan. You didn't miss anything. Still too windy. But I found out I can save a few dinasours. The current build site is about 7 miles away, but I can see the top of it 2 miles from here. Hopefully tomorrow.

Still not sure what part of Canada you're headed for, but if you like motorcycle museums, there's a big one in eastern Iowa, about 30 miles southwest of Dubuque. http://www.nationalmcmuseum.org/ Say hi to Rick and Shirley for me, Scooter Bob
