  1. It really does not matter what album I would want to hear, because there is no electricity to play it. But sense you asked, I guess a good country album by Alan Jackson probably. I could at least look at his photos. highwaypeg
  2. Guys I really do not know why you are getting so upset because I am going to ride with my husband on his bike to Harley events. I am just trying to get along with him. I do not really like those events and I hardly really am with him for the most part. I like riding my bike on short rides around town. If we go somewhere farther I usually ride with him, just because of the convenience. His friends are nice enough, but they are of that typical mind set of the HD thinking. Maybe someday I will get that Heritage Classic. I have to work at a better job though I am thinking. I do not earn enough now and I am satisfied owning my VStar. highwaypeg
  3. Thank you every one, especially Autopilot for your very helpful suggestions. It has been sort of difficult around here concerning this topic. I do think we have come an agreement. I am sorry that I have not been on lately I have been busy. I told my husband that I will not give up my VStar. He seems to be ok with it, especially sense the Heritage Softtail that I was eying was a bit expensive. I said no Sportster for sure. He has agreed that my VStar is a nice bike for me to ride, especially since I am a new rider. So I guess the end of the story is, I am keeping my bike. I will ride with my husband on his bike when we go with his Harley friends. We have been married too many years to have this tear us a part. I want to thank you all for your support, you have all been so kind and caring to me. I will never forget your kindness. highwaypeg:happy34:
  4. All good points have been made on this thread. I did not say that I do not like Harley's. I just do not want to be forced to get one to please others. I say if they leave me alone, I will be glad to do the same to them. I am only talking about their need to be with other HD owners. I know not all HD owners are that way. To me all motorcyclists should be able to be on the roads together. So thanks to all who offered their comments and advice. highwaypeg
  5. My husband and I went to look at the Sportsters today. I like the feel of my VStar better is all I can say. I told my husband that I refuse to sell my bike and if he does not want to ride with me, then that is fine too. He can ride with his HD friends and I will ride by myself. So we will see what happens. highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
  6. No offense taken Muffinman. I do not know why he has that way of thinking. I believe once he got riding his Harley, he got caught up in the clothes and the whole look of it. I just really enjoy riding my motorcycle. I will hope that my husband gets over this. If only he could get involved with the VR group, I think he would really enjoy meeting you folks. But again I appreciate your comments. highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
  7. First of all, I want to thank you all for your support on this topic. I have been pretty straight forward with my husband about how I feel about keeping my V Star. I think I can change his mind. But my husband seems to think that I would really like a Sportster better. We are going to go look at them this weekend. I will look but I still want to keep my V Star. I do appreciate the arguments on my behalf. You guys are great. highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
  8. Hi Folks, I have a real problem. My husband is a Harley guy. He never wanted me to buy my VStar from the beginning. Now because he hangs out with his Harley friends he wants me to get rid of my VStar which I really love. He wants me to get a Sportster, which I really do not care for. I do not think this is fair to me, when I love my VStar. Any suggestions would be appreciated. highwaypeg:crying:
  9. Hi I am from Ohio too. I have noticed nothing really is ever happening in Ohio as far as Meet and Eats. My husband has a Harley so we usually hang around with his Harley friends. I am out numbered. They sort of laugh at my V Star which upsets me, because I love my bike. And when theirs break down, I can ride by and wave. I better be careful, my husband will be mad if he reads this. Ride Safe Buckeyes, highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
  10. Thank you Rosebud, After the day I had today, I needed to read something just like this. Thank you again, highwaypeg:bighug:
  11. I love your little puppy Celdawn. Is it a Cocker Spaniel? He looks like he loves you a lot. highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
  12. I hope to get to meet some of you "Biker Babes" in the future. Maybe you can give me some tips on riding, sense I am sort of new at it. I appreciate everyone's comments so much, thank you for making me feel a part of this wonderful group. highwaypeg
  13. I have ridden on the back of my husband's Harley for a long time, but I guess I want the feel of being a bit more daring and independent. Besides, when he is not able to ride, I can! Although, he usually likes:happy65: to ride behind me. I guess he likes the view. Hehehehehe! Thanks for all the responses, this could get addictive highwaypeg
  14. Yes, I thought for sure more of the "Biker Babes" would come on and express their love of riding, too. Maybe if you fellas encourage them they still will. Maybe ask them to join the group too, if they have not already. highwaypeg:buttkick:
  15. I am new here, so I hope that I am doing this right. How many women members here ride their own bikes. I just got a 2001 V Star Classic and I am really excited about riding this coming season. highwaypeg:15_9_28[1]:
