Thanks Eck, They are priced at costco over here at about 300.00 for the 1460 and less for the 665. I'll look again. Maybe I'll get the 1460 and bag it. Is it hard to see trough the bag.

I was at costco and they had a garmin 665 and 1460. Which one would be the better. The 1460 is 5 inch screen which I like. Would rather have waterproof. But there is a differance in price if you can find them.

Butt Butler Changes
OutlawRider replied to Rick Butler's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Even if he shortens the seat and narrows it. -
You could propably make a good trade with your first gen. Do not know how much more you have come up with.

Not to change the supject. But I was at costco and they had the Garmin 665 and 1460. I would rather have a waterproof one but the price is better. Any advise on which one is better. The 1460 has a 5 inch screen and the 665 has a 4.3 screen. I kind of like the 5 inch.

Butt Butler Changes
OutlawRider replied to Rick Butler's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Just sent Rick a message. Waiting to hear from him so I can send him my seat. Propably get the seat nuts at the same time. -
That looks great. I have two Labs that we do not like having to bother people to watch when we go for awhile. They would rather be with us. The neighbor has one of those little trailers I could propably have . I'll have to check it out. Could build it a little longer and double as a camp trailer. Thanks for the idea. If I build one I'll post pictures.

Thanks for all your replies. I had a Honda VTX 1300 before. The venture is enough heavier I am just fighting it in tight spots and in some corner. No issues as far as danger just not as comfortable yet. I will get it and practise faithfully. I am sure it will do it. Thank you all again for backing the disc. Just did not want to throw money away on something that does not work. Boomer not sure what you ment by IMHO.

Any of you that watched Ride Like Pro, And practised it. Did it really help in the tight riding and getting more used to the weight of the Venture? Was it worth it.
