A friend put different decals on his RSTD and it took him two days. Found out if you use Windex it makes it alot easer , and it better with two people. My friend did it by himself. tew47

I do the ERC several times a year, since I am one of the ERC instructors in our business, Gulf Coast Motorcycle Safety. Last year I had a guy that worked in a motorcycle shop a he did not use his front brake. I told him he whould if he wan't to pass the course. He didn't know you got 70% of you braking power from the front brake. Have seen alot of crazy thing people do, some of it is real funny. You press on the handle bars to do WHAT? tew47

synthetic and worse whine!
TEW47 replied to Shipper's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I had used Mobile 4t and went back to the Rotella and I have noticed a big difference, the whine is alot louder and does not shift as good as with the Mobile 4t. So next oil change I will go back to Moible 4t. tew47 -

Sales manager said the fire started in the celling, and he got everybody out after calling fire department. They had been in bussiness for 38 years. They support Gulf Coast Motorcycle Safety (MSF). They would not sell a bike to anyone unless they had taken the course. tew47

Yesterday I went for a 200 foot ride. I still have the cast on my leg. Would you believe my wife ask me to move the bike out of the shop so she could get the lawnmower out so she could cut grass!!! That took a lot of nerve to ask that off me. So I sat there ,drank my tea, and watched her cut the grass. Didn't cut all of it, so I asked her to get me another glass of tea. I would what went wrong? I sure have a great wife!!!! tew47:clap2:

Need some help identifying an RSTD.
TEW47 replied to Condor's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had a '97 Royal Star Tour Delouxe amd put a 100,000 miles on it before I traded it for an '07 RSV. It had 79 hp at crank. And it came with hard bags. tew47 -
I used a brass rod about 1/4 " to punch the hholes in mine. One a little bigger would work better. tew47

A friend of mine has a '06 RSTD. He put an Avon on the back and got 26,000 miles on it. I had never heard of anyone getting that milage before until now. Of course he does weigh that much. Also he does not take off fast from a stop. tew47

I know you people up north could care less, but it is a big deal around here in Mobile,Al. Saw a big 10 point buck run through my yeard a few hours ago. Guess he didn't know what snow was. tew47

This morning as I left Golden Coral I put my helment and gloves on got on the bike and left ( without letting the bike warm up) got to the exit and a car was turning in so I move close to the curb to make sure they had pleanty of room. I stopped and put my feet down turn the handle bars to the right, started to take off and the engine died. With the laws of physics as they are the bike started falling to the right. I put my foot down to step off the bike, but the curb caught my foot and the bike fell on my ankle and broke it in three places. Man do I feel like a dummy. Should have let the warm up before I tried to ride it. Now I'm paying the price. Spent 7 1/2 hours in emergency room. tew47:thumbdown:

My wife had both done at the same time. Belive me she need a bench seat to sit on in the shower, it will make it alot easyer on her. Of course you will have to help her get in and out. She will be nervous the first few times, so take it easy, do not rush her at all!! She will also like laying on the sofa with pillows under her legs. tew47

Fairing Dampers and Risers
TEW47 replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I put the bumpers in the same place without glueing or attaching them in any way. Didn't take to long for them to fall out along the road. Now I have no bumpers. Guess I will have to try and make some like you did. tew47 -
