If you whant a good corn stove get a St.Croix. I have burned corn up to 16 moisture, not well but it will burn it. 14 or lower is what it likes. 14 moisture is what is needed for storage. I live in North dakota & when it gets cold it will burn 1 bushal per day. At the price of corn I don't know if i am going to light it this year. Off peek elc. is cheaper. 130 bushels of corn last from Nov. to end of march.? some days it burnes 1 bushal some days it burns 1/2 bushal. "depending on how cold it is out side"! & how many sq. feet do you plan on heating with it? It is not intended (sp) to heat a hole house. If you deside to buy? Do not get one with rotating fingers. JUNK!!!! nothing but truble. ask any one that owns one. I know of 5 around hear thay all have had truble with them. & do not get one from fleet farm, lows, tsc, manards, home de., ect. I dont know why but the corn in those stoves need to be 12 moisture or less to work. Good luck finding that. There has been some around hear & most of them went back to the store for that reason. Do you still whant a corn burner????? My St.Croix is 6 years old. Did nothing to it but clean it good 1 a month. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went on a nice ride put on by the fire departments in all the little towns around Valley city ND. We had fire truckes blocking the streets so we could get in & out of towns with out stoping. It was nice. there was only 342 bikes!! Do you have any idea how far 342 bikes streach out on the highway??????????????????? Ok it's 4.5 miles. Then try to park them in a small town for a refreshment. It can be dun!!! Very well Organized. The money raised goes to locale victimes of 911. Meaning if some ones house burnes. they will give them some money for food & clothing to help them get started back on there feet. Every little bit helps when you lost every thing!!! I have a 08 venture & would like to put a reciver type hitch on it. do all hitches for a venture lust bolt on with the 4 boults in the back or is there some other bracing that goes up to the main frame? If all I need is the frame across the back I cam make that! for now I would just like a rack on the back for more storage on long trips. trailer later?

I have a 08 venture. Yesterday the radio started getting a noise in it. Then I see the display going on & off. It must be a bad connection? where do I start looking????????????

I know for a fact each basket has a different part #. I give him the number for the I basket. He told me it is not listed in there book but it is a good # & he could order it. So I do think "SOMEONE" is blowing smoke up someones tail pipe?????

Does any one Know what clutch basket is in a 2008 venture ? G would be my thinking. Dont Know if I should order the "I" basket or what. it sounds like there many posibilities. Asked the stealer He dont have any idea of what is in it with out looking. Has any one changed one on a 08? what letter basket was in it? And did the new one help! thanks!

Speed, Heat, & concrete will cause a tire to where more then it should. Stay off the Super Slab! You will get better Gas Milage & longer tire whear & see better country. Just whon't get there as fast. Don't get me wrong! I like speed to, But those 3 things don't like bike tires.

New in the box 3 weeks ago. date 4609 rear, 3707 front. from dennis Kirk. the tire has a sticker from parts unlimited.Called dennis & asked about the date's on the tire. She told me they have only had them in stock for 16 days. the other 2 sets had the same dates on them so ther was no use returning them on less I wonted a refund. There supplyer is parts unlimited. They are sending dennis Kirk old tires. She didn't Know how to get any new tires built in the last year. Good luck finding some!

Could someone tell me How to adj. the throttle cable at the carb? to tight the throttle wont return & loose makes the cruise Vary alot.

OK I checked the date on the tires. back tire sep 09 frunt tire oct 07 Now I rember reading some where on hear but cant find the thread about age of tires. I think the frunt one needs to go back? Can some one refresh my lost memery PLEASE!!! Thought it is 3 or 5 years on a bike?

check your locle truck stop for motor coat. I picked mine up at flying j. I use yamalube & motorcoat. the noise is less but still there. going to change to syn yamalube & MC. on next oil change to see if that helps. using yamalube because of warranty after that it will be shell. My:2cents:

I have a 08 venture. the cruise workes but when going down hill then an the way up it will lose about 5 mph then pick it back up to set speed. Would the cables be out of adj? I did adj the carb floats so it is possable I didn't get the cables just right! Thanks for input! Ps. the floats were way off from the book. Milage went fron 34 to 42. Don't put that in stone. I need to do some more checking on that part.

carb float level with Bubs?

OK, I called v7 Goose. The one that wrote the thread on float settings. He tells me it will work just fine. All it will do is help your gas milage. "MAYBE" . I hope so!! It needs a lot of help!!!!!! -
I was reading a thread on hear about float's being set to high on venture's from the factory, making them run rich. So if I put on Bub's pipes it will still be ok. But it didn't say if you lower the floats to factory specks. if the Bubs are still still OK with out rejeting??? Or do you need to rejet? 2008 venture. Thank's for the info!

This my be true, But HD Has some Foreign parts in them to! For a example, The computers on the fuel system are made in japan!!! HD is not 100% made in the U.S.A.

Has every one had a problum with the tips peeling after a few thousand miles or 2 years. & are they realy loud ? to the point on a long trip you would get sick of hearing it.
