Are there any members that live near San Diego or Alpine? Need someone to glance at a RSV and give me some feedback. You can PM me and I can get back to you with the particulars. Thanks

Hi Joe, It's good to see that you are going to keep your bike. We had called about it last week but are still looking. Something will come along. We put the money we got from our Nomad away so we could buy another bike when the right one comes along. My thought about money is that if the price of anything we are trying to sell keeps us from being broke that we are probably broke anyway as the funds from one thing won't last us forever. Things will work out in the end for all of us one way or the other. Enjoy your bike as you have in the past because you never know what the future will hold. Butch

We emailed about that 07 Midnight and got a generic reply so we called but as of now we haven't received a call back. That particular bike was a theft recovery but says nothing can be seen wrong with it. It still has warranty according to the local Yamaha dealer but has a record of the front tire coming apart and destroying the fender and the 2 lowers but all was replaced by Yamaha and that nothing has been done to the motor in any way. I had looked at a 06 RSV midnight before this bike. Rode the 06 and the chirping was so loud that at 55 I couldn't even hear the radio. I started hearing it when I took off and the faster the bike got the louder the chirping got. The dealer said thats "normal" and that there is nothing that needs fixing. They wouldn't even answer the question of what and why did Yamaha make the "I" basket for? So we let that bike go on to someone else. Thats why we need to ride the 07 but the weather sucks right now but we may have to go take a ride. Butch

Hi, It has the factory pipes with it as well as some other stuff. The original owner said that he had the clutch basket changed but he didn't know to what. I guess it was to the "I" basket instead. He said he had some chirp or whine and after it was changed he couldn't tell any difference from what he had to what they said they changed to so don't really know what was done. Contacted a Yami dealer and they said the only records on the bike was some sort of relay and the cassette needed changing. No other records. If the "I" basket was put in don't you think Yami would have a record of it being done? Makes me think they pulled one on him. Maybe not. Anyway the wife and I are still thinking. Thanks Butch

We have looked at the bike but the weather wasn't where we could ride it. It looks to be in good shape. Nothing beat or banged up on. It has some Bub pipes on it, Sirrus radio, Chrome cup holder, Trunk rack, Bag rails on the bags and around the bottom of the bags, New tires 90%, K&N air filter with Yamaha Chrome covers, Chrome Yamaha passenger floorboards, Garmin Nav, Cell phone hook-up, LED light below the trunk, Black helmet with intercom, and 2 sets of keys. I don't know alot about these bikes except everyone who has one likes it. Some say that they are top heavy but every one I have rode don't seem that bad. I thought all of you here would know more about these bikes and could give some good advice about this bike. Let me know what you all think. Thanks Butch

Hi All, Been looking for another bike since we sold our Nomad. Our friend has a 99 RSV and loves the bike. I have looked at different RSV but haven't bought one yet. All the bikes I have found have less than 20k on them but one thing or another has kept me from a purchase. I am looking at one with 50k on it and that is a concern to me. The man wants 9k for the bike but I don't know if that is about right for a bike with that many miles on it or not. Any info one way or another would be greatly appreciated. By the way its a 07. Look forward to any info you all might have. Thanks Butch
