From looking at the print, it appears that the "Y" wire (upper right) is from the break switch and "L" wire (center) is the running hot. Then "B" wire (bottom) is the ground. I hope I'm reading it correctly as it appears that the right and left rear blinkers are in the same connector.

http://www.cycleresort.com/index.html This place is just inside Tennessee, but it looks great. I was going to suggest two wheels only campground, but it looks like they had to close. Also do a google search for campgrounds near helen ga. Helen is my fav town in north ga

The baffles I ordered for my new to me Screamn' Eagles mufflers are in transit to my house and if they work out for me, I would be happy to ship my stock mufflers to you. They came off of my 05 Venture and are in pretty good shape. These are the ones I bought

I got my first set for less than 50, but you won't find them that cheap on ebay. I would call around to local motorcycle shops....not dealers, and see if they have any sitting around. Most HD guys change their pipes and just leave the original ones at the shop that changed them.

I just installed my new Avon tires on Friday and went with the smaller front and stock rear.....love them. While I already had a full set of pads on order, I just couldn't see putting a pad back in that was less that 1/8" thick. Went to the local Yamaha shop and picked up a set for the rear. When you think about the safety issues, break pads are chump chage in the long run.

My Father had a simular procedure several years ago and he came out of it much better. Just listen to the Docs......no wifi.....what is this world coming to....this is an outrage!

You are right OB-1. The rumble of the V4 really does sound great and without the baffles, it's pretty much just moving the noise further back on the bike. My wife wants to hear them before I put the stock mufflers back on, but I know what she is going to say:-( -

I just put the SEs on my bike...the ones I gutted and it sounds like you are at a Nascar race.....OMG loud. Looks like I will be putting the stock pipes back on tomorrow. -
I just installed a set today that were from drag specialties and their date code was 0310, so I would go with JW

Another Exhaust question

I had a regular set of road king pipes on my first 05 Venture. I drilled them out a little and they had just the right tone for my taste. I will be putting on a set of SE on my new 05 Venture either later today or tomorrow. I tried drilling them out like I did the road kings but they were from a late model Harley and after about 3 hours of messing with them I gave up and just cut the two tack welds at the end of the pipe and drove the baffle out. I can't wait to see what it will sound like with out any baffles. I did find that you can buy new baffles for them if I find that it is just too much. You can easily find the nice clamps for them on ebay and search for Royal Star Venture exhaust. You will have to fabricate a bracket to hold up the rear of the muffler and you can find a pattern on this site I think. If not, I know they are on the other Venture site. I've even see people use a P clamp that worked just fine. Good luck. -
I had the Butler on my first Venture and will get another one soon for my new Venture. There is plenty of room on the bars and you will love it.

I guess I'm just too cheap to buy an aftermarket set of mufflers, so I slash cut my pipes on my VStar 1100 and it sounded okay, then on my first 05 Venture, I drilled both ends of a set of stock RK mufflers......loved the sound of the bike and they caused no ill effect that I could tell. The set I played with today were the ones with removable end caps so that made it very easy to just cut the two tack welds and remove everything. I haven't installed them yet so I'm not sure how they will sound, but I wanted to know if anyone else is running a set that is totally gutted and if it caused you any problems. I have located some baffles on the net that I can buy if needed. Thanks in advance for your help

I was trying to drill a set of HD pipes that have the honeycomb in the inlet, but after 4 hours of fighting with it, I decided to go ahead and gut them. Do any of you think this will cause problems? Is there a way to re-pack a gutted HD muffler?

I just installed Avon Grips w/boss on my 05RSV and I love them. I had the K's on my last two bikes and they were ok, but they can still get slippery in the rain. I rode about 200 miles in the rain this weekend with the Avons and they provided me the sure grip and comfort that I was looking for. I didn't use the weights, (don't like them)but I believe that if you wanted to retain the weights you could just remove the end caps and screw them back on.

WOW....if it's been raining, then I highly recommend a tube ride down the river

the last time I was there, there was an awesome leather/motorcycle shop in town. They had great products and prices. I believe that's where I picked up my boots and chaps.

I had the same problem on an 05 VStar 1100. I could ride about 200 miles before the pain was too much to handle. I bought a Mustang seat and found that I could easily ride a 600 mile day with very little discomfort. Not sure why the Mustang was so good, but it was an awesome purchase.

I've had that happen twice and it hurts like crazy. The second time I was smart enough to grab the area and crush it as hard as I could.

From the pics and stories from friends, I would say they made a good call before something bad happened.

Looks like another fun thing to do once I move up there this winter.

Can't remember for sure, but knowing me, I just hooked it up and hoped it was correct. If you still have contact with the guy that bought the Spook, I'm sure he could look for you.

After the Cassette Deck Removal?
MidnightSpook replied to AKRefugee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I turned mine into a storage compartment today, but I guess I didn't have enough patients when removing it because I snapped a chunck off the corner of the door. Guess it's time to get some superglue...... -
