I saw the movie in opening night....just couldn't wait another minute. It ranked right up there with saving Private Ryan in my opinion. My time in the Navy gave me huge respect for what these kids go through and that made me a blubbering mess throughout the entire 2 hours, so I think I need to see it again to figure out what I missed. For those that have seen it, watch some of the post release interviews with Marcus....his injuries were word than the movie could depict.

Like djg3 I couldn't afford it. I'm glad I didn't pay in because I know now I would have never quit working just to go to school

Yes the cab is in a plastic box under the trunk held down with two rubber straps just like the ones holding the battery. I always have my music cranking and the pipes cracking so its a little hard to hear if I have any rattles
-
No one has mentioned a dry rear wheels. That was the first indication for me when it was time to remove the rear wheels to clean and add grease.

I made a poor decision once of trying to pass without enough room. Had to stop and park the bike for a few hours afterwards

Wow.....all of my tabs are broken, but I didn't know the faring would crack like that. I did put a strip of rubber between the clearview and inner faring to prevent the rattling.

I just pulled my piggybacker for the last two weeks and the low speed parking lot handling was better with the trailer than without. It was like I hadwill training wheels installed. Traveling in the mountains was different because you have to watch your seeds more when entering a turn.
-
I just wonder if he is dead yet.
-
I passed by there this morning on 95 and saw hundreds of bikes already headed south.

I bought a used piggybacker and love it. They don't pack the hubs well from the factory so if you go used you may want to check the bearings.

I think the peak for color is around the 23rd. I left Miami this morning and after 6you hours of fighting the wind and rain, I decided to call it a day in Daytona. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow and we can make up some time.

I'm leaving Miami on Sunday the 9th and headed to the VA Beach area to see my kids and attend a friends retirement from the Navy. I'll be in town until the 15th.

I will be going through there on the15thand 16th. We don't have chaps so I hope it doesn't get too cold.

LOL...I was thinking the whole time....that sounds just like a turkey call. That would be aweful to listen to all the time.

Im glad you posted that. I had a piggybacked for my first 05term RSV and know I bad the non-powered cnverter on it. Maybe I just purchased two faulty converters. In any case you can't go wrong with the powered converter.
-
Hopkins 46255 Power Taillight Converter this is what was needed. I tried two different Hopkins (non powered) converters and it just didn't work. With the powered unit everything worked fine. I highly recommend this unit and you can pick one up for less than 20 dollars on amazon. I spent a little over 100 dollars trying to figure this out so save yourself some time and money and buy what you need the first time.

For me, I like to ride about 400 to 500 miles per day. I suggest looking at a cabin in Gatlinburg. They aren't that expensive and you will love it. when do you plan on making the trip?

I had the same thing happen on a venture. it ended up being the inlet pipe at the top of the rad was cracked. it was still under warranty and they just replaced it.
