  1. :clap2::clap2: Glad you decided to stay .
  2. Moved it to the left side of garage, to raise it on the lift so that wheels can be removed for tire replacement. And while it is down I will lube pins in drive assembly and whatever else needs done.
  3. I will look forward to meeting you and your wife.
  4. Where is the 95 Wing trike, all I saw was a 88 Silver 1500?
  5. Look in Regional Rides in the forums. Please come, I will be there. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?135026-Freebird-s-Maintenance-Day
  6. If Puc says you are good, then that is great with me. He is an Icon on this sight. And welcome to the sight.
  7. They did come yesterday and like any kid (72 years old) I cut the plastic to looky see. Very nice tread design and white walls are impressive even though I have had white walls for fifteen years. And, and, and they are the freshest tires I have ever received. The front is 49/17 and the rear 01/18. I will mount them this week and give them a 100+ mile break-in.
  8. I am going. What about Motels available close by?
  9. J&P Cycle said they shipped Friday and will arrive Monday. That is fast.
  10. Jeff, I am in the same situation as you and I really like the Indian Scout with 1200 cc and water cooled engine. Quick machine and comfortable on the short run I took. Just have to make the decision to give up the 02 Venture. And easy to mount.
  11. Sounds like syncing the carbs are in order.
  12. I have used Dunlop D404s for near 200,000 miles on my ride and had no problems. Always use Dyna Beads for balance and mount my own tires, but I have read many posts on the 777, and I thought I would try these (since they come in White Walls). I am not looking for high mileage (ran D404s for years) but I like the "sticky" part of the posts. I have a tire changer and lift so changing is quick, no spoons for me. I read that some feel that running the 130 front made it handle easier, but are these stock configured Ventures? I have lifted the rear many years back to perform the same effect and it worked. Would lowering the front (use 130 front) on my machine throw it out of whack? I think it probably would. Just rambling on but Cowpuc's review was what sent me to Shinko. If it doesn't work out I will be heading to Michigan without Hot Dogs.
  13.
  14. Too many to contemplate but interesting just the same.
  15. I too will keep the prayers flowing for the family and for Cole's great meeting with the Almighty God.
  16. I will pray hard for this miracle, DragonRider. Keep us posted, please.
  17. If it was the one on VR, I inquired about it and yes it was a very good price. Got a reply but no answers to my questions. Got skittish.:think:
  18. Now that I know what you were talking about, I would have to say that I will stay with my 16 year ols Kuryakins. If that is ok with you, Puc?
  19. What would be the description, training wheels?
  20. I am one of the 200k members, and have had very little problems with my 02. All problems were my fault. Keep the oil level mid glass, use Seafoam or similar for storage when over a couple months and service regularly.
  21. Never heard of them but I have had the same Kuryakin on since 2002.
  22. And remember Bob, the restore color is battleship grey. I hate it when someone paints a 9N or 2N light grey and red like the 8N models. Good luck withe the farming it is a lot of work.
  23. I would think Kuryakin would have them out by now since they are the king of pegs.
  24. You did good, use the bush hog on the rear of the Kubota for your tri-annual mowing. DO NOT use the belly mower for the heavy work unless you are going to keep it mowed every two weeks at a minimum.
  25. Very glad that I could be of assistance. Buy an old tractor and bush hog. That way all is good. PS: I have been through all this years back.
