  1. Sorry boss, not disappearing but showing "never" in last column, which to me is a dead add.
  2. I see the adds disappearing. Good by old friends!
  3. Just happy to know you're still coming. Love to visit with you again.
  4. Probably because he is being nagged...
  5. Tell me about the spotlight mounted on the left side. Interesting.
  6. I third the Craftsman jack and CarbonOnes adapter. Have been using both for years.
  7. Retrieved my 02 RSMV from Master Mechanic (Yamaha Certified) Petr Novachek. I have known him for years and we are friends. Had the local dealer work on it and...well that didn't work. Petr found left out parts, choke cable not not connected to all carbs, and spacers on #4 carb diaphragm missing allowing unmetered air to cause backfire. I knew that I screwed up one week after bringing home a running bike, when it started the backfire. Talked with shop supervisor and he asked me what could be wrong with it after they worked on it and charged me $700. My reply was "that is why I brought it to you". Now it is right with smooth acceleration and no backfire. Happy boy now. :happy65:
  8. I found on my 02 RSMV that it was the shock...boot. A little light grease and all is well. That was in 2005 and it is part of my annual maintenance since then. Yes I still have the original shock after sixteen years and 200+ K miles. dfitzbiz is the fellow who rebuilds these shocks for very low cost. I watched him do one at Freebird's MD and it is really neat. If you talk with him remind him he owes me a new pair of Tony Llama boots.
  9. The dryer the air the more cooling for the body since your pores will sweat even in high heat/dry air. If the air is humid then the sweat doesn't evaporate ergo higher body temps.
  10. Steve is a very great guy and I have had some dealings with him. +++ on Steve.
  11. Besides the .45-70, I fired a Desert Eagle .50 AE once and that was all. The cone of fire from the barrel was blinding and the recoil was painful and I was the owner. :no-no-no: Sold soon after. I wonder how some in the Yukon and Alaska handle the S&W .460 and .500.
  12. Wilmington has a large chapter of Star Riding and Touring so may be one of theirs.
  13. What Randy said was right on. I have a Marlin .45-70 and years ago I used it in Nebraska for deer in the brush. It could shoot through smaller trees and still bring down the game. Now at 72 I have no inclination to fire that beast. My son wanted to shoot it a couple years ago so I told him to take it down to my range and try it out. I stayed up at the house and watched. When he finally squeezed the trigger he started jumping around and grabbing his shoulder. Brought it back up and said he wouldn't even clean it since his shoulder hurt so bad. It is now in the safe (cleaned) waiting for my death so I can leave it to him in my will.
  14. OK you got me. The rotaion is the same but the drive is opposite.
  15. If flipped end to end the rotation would be the same. But I would think the fill port would be on the high side then.
  16. Yes you can move them but wind moves in all directions. You may be running around in all directions too.
  17. All three fatalities were members of Star Touring and Riding Ass. This happened at Star Days in Utah, city not given. Another member is in critical condition. Prayers are requested.
  18. Yes it has been around for some time. Works well from what I have seen, but have you ever removed moldy rotten straw before? No thanks.
  19. Just yesterday a sheriff's deputy turned left in front of a motorcycle causing a fatality. The cyclist was also a deputy from the same county. I fear where this will go, being a former deputy.
  20. Sure looks good. Very nice workmanship.
  21. Thanks Richard, I alluded to that in a little different way. :whistling:
  22. I use thew Morgan and have for a long time. Had an older mercury unit but now have the rod carbtune. Never an issue. I have seen one Carbtune Pro have a sticking problem at MD this year in Oberlin. Substituted mine and all was well.
  23. Sorry that Luvdaleather didn't get a quicker response, I think it has to do with Freebird's right eye issue.
  24. Put a 2" piece of wood under the kickstand and then check oil level.
  25. Blame it on the right eye, Don.
