  1. I re-watched this video today because I passed over the repititious stories of these fine soldiers. Thought it was too much. But after a thorough second viewing, I believe it was to validate the soldiers as valid human beings living through the hell of combat. And to give identity to each. At the end of the video each soldier salutes the camera giving more authenticity to their service. God Bless America.
  2. Sorry for your losses. Can't say anything to deaden the sorrow other than it is "the circle of life". Thinking of you.
  3. Maybe you'll find a German tank, there are a lot of folks up there from that part of Europe. Man that would put you way up on anyone else in the US.
  4. Thank you my friend. Brings tears to my eyes. My father-in-law served under Gen. George Patton as a major and told stories that would make a blind man see the reality.
  5. Ahh yes the primitive tanning agent. I haven't decided whether to camp or Motel it. Most likely motel, since my back doesn't like the ground or air mattresses. Most of the time it doesn't like a good bed.
  6. No they havn't rusted but they are starting to squeek a little. That make it hard to sneek up on a snipe.
  7. I'll be there. Need to confront dfitzbit about my boots. See you'all there.
  8. Going back farther, Norton 750 Commando. At that time it was scarry fast. And would cut some mountain curves. Had a 750 and later an 850 electric start.
  9. I like the trap shooting part of the discussion. My father and uncle had a constrution business in west Omaha NE and 44 acres of land. The way back area from the road was just brome grass and always needed mowing. A bunch of shooters offered to maintain the grass inorder to build a trap range. It was pure heaven for me. This was 1964-1979 and we shot most every Sunday from late August to winter snow. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
  10. I like that pistol and the 312 shot/.22. I use Decon for my mice in the garage but never had them in the house.
  11. I will send a pic soon. Got to see doctors for the next two days. Just normal stuff, one eye doctor and one allergist.
  12. OK friends this has gotten out of hand. Spent untold money doing things to firearms because of Cowpuc. Sitting in my office chair, at my desk and near my gun safe and eurika! I need to build my Mossberg 500 .410 gauge. I will be sending Cowpuc a bill for accessories, but being a fair person I will encur the installation costs. I feel that is fair since it is all his fault. Just my latest rant.
  13. I it is a high lumen led light, and will near blind a person in the dark.
  14. Sorry for being late but I spaced out on replying to this thread. That is not a lazer on the rail but a streamlight. That Bersa is very close to me at night and the Streamlight gives me a huge advantage if I have unwanted visitors. I am a country boy and the County Police are great leo's but it would be a quick response if they arrived in 20-30 minutes after being notified. So when they do get here, if the need arises, then they will need a body bag for me or the perps. And being a former leo I know how poor the shooting skills of the criminal low life are.
  15. For all he has done to you people with his WWW, you'all should send him a two pound engineers mall. You can't get me now Fool, going into 70s.
  16. That is not the pistol you want. Bersa Thunder Pro 9 HC, or XT for mo money.
  17. I bought my S&W Mod.57 .41 Magnum for the same reason you bought the Magnum Research. I ordered it in 1983 with a 10-3/8" barrel. After a little practice I sent it to Magnaport and they did their majic. Next dear season I was ready for them. I had a scope on it but for the life of me I can't tell you what it was. Once the State (IA, my grandparents lived there) changed the rules, I sold the scope but still have the revolver. If it wasn't so expensive to shoot I would occassionaly. Moved up to a .22-250 for IA hunting but stayed with my .30-06 for Nebraska, and to answer Puc's question... 120 gr accelerators. Best Thread in a long time for this old shootist. Harder and harder to get the urge to go shoot. Turn 73 in April, but still have a little kick in the old body.
  18. I have not run +P in it and may never. I have shot the Beretta 92 on a number of occassions and it is a nice weapon. Heavy like a 1911 but up to the task. This Bersa is much cheaper and used by the Argentine military in this form or longer XT model. The XT will set you back +$700.00, but I got the HC for $369 + tax and $25.00 transfer fee. And at 30 oz. it carries very nice in belt holster. You would love it. I bought it on impulse and past experience with the brand and it comes with lifetime repairs as long as original owner. Plus there are US repair facilities.
  19. Ok, Fool, you win. I can't compete with your plinker.
  20. Yes you are the missing link in the videoarizona to Sylvester conversation.
  21. I second the Shinko tires. Put two on my RSMV (because Puc said to:whistling:) and they are great.
  22. Actually I should thank you. I have noticed that where the oil landed on my Tony Lama boots...there is no rust.
  23. WOW what a deal, Puc. Does it come with the screws?
  24. Don't wear expensive western boots near his work, he will target them. But he does great work with shocks.
  25. Reminds me of my flying days in Nebraska. I loved to swoop down and spook cattle with my Piper 140. Could fly at 30 mph air speed with flaps. Man I was a terror.
