If you are collecting for appreciation value then this is not the pistol of choice. If you just want something that is fun to shoot, then have at it. There are so many handguns that are appreciating at rapid rates, so that is where I look for to put money.

fuel pump committed suicide
Sylvester replied to starrider60's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I am running well over 110K on my 02 RSMV and have never had a fuel pump issue. So don't dispair because you have 25K or more. -
Thanks, that puts an end to my "listening to others". I have installed the Buckeye stator on a friends RSV but I have never seen the need for myself. I run heated jacket and gloves but sparingly. I have LED tail and turn and always shut off the pass lights when using the heated clothing. I also have switched the carb heaters so I can turn them off.

I could be wrong, but isn't the Buckeye Performance HO stator made and sold by Rick's Electronics also? If so, they do not recommend soldering the wires from what I understand.

Top Spead
Sylvester replied to starkruzen's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
After disconnecting the rev limiter, a RSV will hit 140+ at Lowe's Motor Speedway. I know this because I did this. Speed verified by ET and radar. That was in 2003 (sponsored by Kyle Petty), but I was not running a stock motor. I have a motor officer friend in VA. and he can hit 130 stock. -
I have been at it for thirty years and have a full dedicated woodworking shop. Nothing is limited to what I will work on...if it interests me. Many tables, cabinets, grandfather clocks, gun cabinets, chairs, etc. etc. have come off my assembly table. The thrill never leaves me. I do remodeling, decks, garages and some concrete work now that I am retired, but I love to get into the workshop anytime.

Looks pretty and feminine

In the old days, rock salt in a .410 gauge would end such shennanigans. OH C..P think I gave my age up. But that was only used as a last resort .

The attire is "whatever you are comfortable with" and just show up is all that is required. This is not a club but a respect for our "fallen soldiers". You are always welcome!

I LIKE not love the Dunlop 404 WWW. First it is a WWW and second it is not a Bridgestone or Metzeler ME880. It handles very well for my driving and gets respectable mileage. I love whitewalls and there are few to choose from for 2nd gen. Ventures. I also have my own changer and balancer so it is my choice for my need.

Sleeperhawk's New Instrument Panel Installation

All my paint jobs look like that. I just snort the paint with a straw and then sneeze.- 45 replies

Actually I hate the Metzeler 880's more...just because they cost more:mo money:...but the Bridgestones are really just as bad.

Here it is Annie, www.efmautoclutch.com dmoff1698, The thumb brake relocates the rear brake controls to the left handlebar with a thumb actuated lever. Aussie Annie was in a bad wreck and has limited use of her leg/feet, but nothing keeps her down.

Wot 80 mph???
Sylvester replied to Ga Dawg's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I know that a second gen. will break 140, at least at Lowe's Motor Speedway. -
My only and best solution to your situation is to get an auto clutch. This is a centrifugal clutch basket that eliminates most of the need of the clutch lever. You can still use the clutch lever if you want but not required. I have their web site on another computer but if you google "auto clutch-motorcycle" I am sure you will find it. Not cheap but for you it would be very practical.

I believe the down in mc sales is as much social as economic. I was born early 1946 (baby boomer) and have ridden for fifty years. I grew up with motorcycles and my son (36 years old) has been around them all his life. He has no desire to own or operate a motorcycle and never has. His passions are other than mine. I have been a STAR Touring and Riding member, officer and national officer for many years and membership has fallen. I feel that the baby boomer generation promoted the rise in mc sales over the last few decades and now it is declining. I have an 02 RSMV and no matter what they bring out, I will not buy another. This will last the rest of my riding life.

I'd like to hear what you've all got to say about the dyna beads. I am close to changing both my tires and plan on using the beads.

Great information since I am in the market for two tires. This summer a buddy of mine with my help we bought a balancer and changer. No more high dollar tires and mounting. He has three bikes and I have two (right now) so this should prove a good business venture. Of course all our friends want theirs done free also.

They all put out heat. I have Tour Master Synergy jacket and Gerbing gloves that I use through out the winter. I also have Gerbing pants liner and socks that I used years ago in Nebraska, but I don't need them anymore here in the Carolinas.

Back in the past (my younger years) I would fly my plane into Duluth, refuel and fly to Grand Marais. There I would take a car up the Gunflint Trail to the Gunflint Lodge for fishing and relaxation. Gorgeous country.

Hmmm, I don't see a tire for the front on the list. Good looking tread.

Having an 02 Midnight Venture, I have always thought a tan seat would look the best. Now I may have to look into recovering my seats.
