  1. Got range time on the long distant rifle range (100-500 yds.) Sunday. going to work my .22 wmr at 125 yd and then 150 to see the difference, I still have at least five coyotes to cull. May take the 22-250 to calibrate. Will be a good day as long as I don't shoot myself, LOL.
  2. No Puc, I had them shipped to the local store for free where I will pick them up. A really great deal. I was going with 500 rounds and then upped it but left the ship to store. Slyvester
  3. I still have the SHIP for your journey, but how did you come up with giving Mr. and Mrs. Wiz as door prize. And you certainly used poetic license to add dramamine, skeeter repellent, sun screen and K rations. I NEVER SAID THAT. I wouldn't treat you that good. Brothers for eternity,
  4. WOWSEY, WOW,WOW (to quote a great friend) Gander Mtn has Aquilla 9mm 115 gr fmj for $7.99/box of 50. Free shipping to nearest store to you. I ordered 1000 rounds. Never know when you need them. That is less than 16 cents per round. WooHoo.
  5. Give them as prizes next year.
  6. Puc you only eat the tail and hind legs. Tail has three sections and it is the fillet of gators. The legs are usually cubed and deep fried for nibling. I love them. Now I am sure a true swamp resident makes use of more than I do. Something else you need to try is mud puppies. That is another term for cajon crawdads, they are spectacular.
  7. Definitely summer wear for them. There shed is over now. I have hunter alligators with the .22wmr for a number of years. Get them as there eyes are out of the water.
  8. All good words for hunting but I saw it too late. Dropped one of two yesterday evening. It was a clean kill and the .22WMR did great. I just aimed a might high to compensate for extra distance and there was no wind. Used 40grn Winchester jacketed hollow points. The other one made a very hasty retreat. Now to get out and sight the Marlin for 125 yards that will cover my distances well. I have a see-through scope mount so open sights are available.
  9. Hunting season is now open in NC. My St. Bernards were raising a rukus this morning, so I looked out to see six coyotes coming out of the woodland. My area is cattle raising and the code is to kill any coyote. So my choices are .22LR, .22wmr, .22-250, .240, 7.65x39, .30-06 or .45-70. I feel good with the .22wmr but need to range it out to 125 yards (it is at 100 yds and the coyotes were at 125-150 yards. Whatcha think? I really don't want to shoot the .45-70, it hurts at my age.
  10. Don't worry about it. Puc gets everyone's name turned around intentionally. I am now Slyvesrer.
  11. Yakkity yak yak yak. You guys never stop with each other. How about showing the love? It is just a line on the map called a border. But I understand the banter, heck Carl rode in my truck at last years MD and I applauded his sarcasm. Heck it could be my fault for encouraging him, but it probably goes back many decades. And as for Cowpuc...well you all know that story. I don't know Big Tom personally but he seems a likeable fellow. And Saddlebum usually gets the last word in. Can't we all just get along? MAYBE??? From the deep south, my best wishes!
  12. My best friend had an 07 maroon RSV and had the PCW engine built and installed. That beast left all others behind. He told me the horse power but I can't remember. Let me ride it whenever I wanted but after a couple rides I thought better since I could seriously hurt myself. He said it was good to 138+ miles/hour. Now it is all Indian for him.
  13. PCW big bore 1500 with V-max valves etc.
  14. Puc, if you buy that for the minimum of $303, you did very well.
  15. Yep same for me.
  16. Yes, I can't download files either. Not since November.
  17. I feel so bad for you in the midwest. I am originaly from Omaha and have seen all aspects of weather there from blizzards to draught, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
  18. If you can handle a little extra saddle height, you may want to think about leveling links on the rear of your RSV. They raise the rear 1" and level the bike. That is the same thing the 130 tire does except it lowers the front 1". With the leveling links you can keep the 6 inch wide front for more stability and traction. This is what I did to my 02 RSV in 2003.
  19. I have a Wheeldock, and it is for sale. It has the quick detach mount for a trailer. I have used it for much narrower tires by using plywood shims.
  20. I think he is CTFW due to frustration. That breakdown is hard on a lot of riders. Getting home brings normalcy to life. At home you can deal with it at your convenience. I know that from the last week of frustration, not having control of the situation. You know what I am talking about my brother.
  21. I always wanted one, but alas I have given up due to knees.
  22. Puc, you are selling out giving such glory to the Boss. How are you going to hold your head high at MD? BBUUTT you may have a plan to extract hot dogs from him at the pond.
  23. I am going to miss not going to the dinner. Really great fun. Hopefully next year if "the water don't rise and the crops don't fail".
  24. Wow, that makes me nausious. So sorry for grandson. Prayers are being said.
