  1. I am glad I don't stand alone:rotf::rotf:
  2. It's just isn’t your summer, is it? Sure glad everyone is OK. Carl that knee will never heal if you keep this up.
  3. Just because I answered this post …. In 31 years I have never been hit by a bird. Last night my wife and I are returning home from an all day charity ride when we are 2 miles from the house I see a fast streak. “Thud” grey feathers everywhere. They circled around behind the windshield, I asked her "What was that?". She said it looked like a morning dove. It would have nailed me dead centre in the chest if it wasn’t for the windshield. All because I answered this post....:rotf:

    What a ride!!!

    The bike ran perfectly, it handled like a dream. I did the Dragon’s tail with Rach on the back while pulling the trailer, then asked Chris for the keys to his bike and scraped a bit of metal from his pegs alone. We managed to stay off the tree of shame. Sorry we didn’t get out towards your place on the way out because we left to late that day.
  11. I think it was a small shop in Gatlinburg. It may have been because it was so hot out or just tired that day :scorched:but the best I think it was the place in Gatlinburg. And the debate starts here.:rotf:
  12. Recently we took the best trip I have ever had. We road down to Tennessee and took two weeks to ride home. [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=384695#post384695]http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=384695#post384695[/ame] We road through 10 States and 1 province and we stopped in each. In each location I had to order ice cream and test the consistency of the flavours. It was a three way tie for the best part of the trip: Breath taking scenery, 2. Unbelievable windy mountain roads 3. All the ice cream I ate. (My wife thought I lost it) BIG TOM we haven’t met but you’re a smart man and I like your style. Unfortunately I have to diet now that I am back to work, but man it was worth it.
  13. I figured this would be the only chance to take my son on a real biking trip because next year he starts university and would not be able to go again for years to come. So we packed the trailer, gassed up the two bikes and headed out with only one destination … anywhere the sun was shinning. 2800 miles (4500km) and we were home. What a priceless trip. Road in 10 States and 1 province Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York We had the unbelievable experience of riding the following; The Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, Tellico Plains, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah Valley and at Deals Gap we tamed the dragon. After we left the Appalachian Mountains we headed for the Adirondacks in New York. We were at Sweetwater, Robbinsville, Cherokee, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and visited places like The Lost Sea, The Natural Bridge, Luray Caverns, Ruby Falls, Rock City, Smokey Mountain National Park, Tennessee Aquarium, and the Ohio Caverns. Priceless time spent. Some of the pics from the trip.
  14. Trevor was at the house to synching the carbs, check the brakes and low and behold the fan turned on. No problem with his thermostat or fan, maybe one with his slow mechanic (only my 3rd carb synching, still learning ). Another beer for the Squid
  15. I have to say I have done the same. After reading other post after mine I have gone back and change the wording because I felt it would be taken the wrong way. Hang in and keep up the good work, I enjoy your thoughts.
  16. Nice scenery but just one thing, that garages is a real mess. :rotf:Can’t you do something with it? Mine looked like that once but it was the day before I moved in.
  17. --AND HELMET HAIR Congratulations on your successful return. :clap2: I like your choose in bikes and no one will ever notice the helmet hair because they can’t get past the bugs in our teeth. Mark
  18. I picked up my new Sarasota Splash Trailer today. Now I am almost ready for our trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I know the first thing said every time is pics, show us pics, so here is the link to a few. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/album.php?albumid=460
  19. I sure wish I could have gone but couldn’t align the vacations with the event. Loved the pics and please keep them coming for all of us who couldn’t make it. The dogs will need to diet after a week on the road. Have fun and play safe. Mark
  20. I just hope we don't have to add a third wheel this winter in order to keep him on the road...
  21. I order a carbtune from Morgan last week. Takes 10 days to get it and I agree it is the best money ever spent. Mark
  22. Carl I looked at the pics and that's nasty. I hope you’re up and around soon. I first thought you dropped the bike when I saw the post. Take care and heal quickly and listen to Big Tom, ice cream heals everything from top to bottom.
  23. It was a great day even in the rain.
  24. I took a few guys on a ride today and the sky opened up. We made it home just in time before it rained. For the next two hours I had the nicest garage in town. The bikes are warm and dry and the people are out in the rain. The next best thing to riding is eating. I think the boss (wife in the second pic) is wondering if she can get her car in. My money is on................... no. My son woke up and looked in the garage and thought be died and went to haven.
