Jim, saturday still planned. Looks like the weather is going to be great finally. Even got to mow the yard today and get all of Mollies plants out of the garage. Still planning to do the valve check and adj on mine. So everyone welcome to come, watch, help or if you have some maint that needs to be done, bring it on. Can you make it next weekend? I am going to perform a Valve Check/Adjustment on my 05 RSV. I decided not to go the dealer route (long story). With the excellent posting on the procedure from V7Goose, I would rather learn to do it myself. Ponch has agreed to be on hand to supervise. With the amount of time needed to do this job, I will be tearing the bike down the day before. So, if anyone wants to come and see the check/adjustment procedure done Sat. Merry Christmas to everyone. Wish all the best for the holidays and the upcoming year. This site has provided more than knowledge about our rides, it has given us friendships that mean so much more to our daily lives. I got my RSV 2 years ago at Christmas time. Mollie and I are blessed to have met alot of great people during this time, and are looking forward to meeting even more members in the future. Thanks

Don, I like it. matter of fact I seen that one online two weeks ago. Like the look for a Venture. Told Mollie that what we should get for her. She just held up her broken fists at me, so I shut up. Maybe in the future. Can't wait to see yours. Congrats.

Owen, great post, like the look. Ordering now. Just got me a new helmet this week, a silver Shark Evoline 2 flip. I have started wearing my reflective vest day and night riding to work in this Houston traffic. The decal set for the helmet will help. Thanks.

Brad, what a great offer, Thanks. You and Lonna are great to open your home. Wish we could stop by, I am working evening shift all this week, will be taking Mollie to her sisters before work since she can't drive yet. Have a Happy turkey day. I couldn't wait, smoked a big bird yesterday.

We had a great time yesterday at the rally seeing everyone. Good breakfast meet, sorry Thom we hid from you at the restaurant. Lotta of bikes, people and items(use your imagination) to look at. Here are few pics, hope others to add more.

Mollie and I will be caging it down, will meet for breakfast in Galveston at 9am. Got all my parts in yesterday, just got the Venture back together today and just started it up. Good to hear it running again. Still need to work on shifter adjustment and check everything to make sure its ready for the road. But can wait till Sunday. Ready for some beers with friends on the Strand. Everyone be safe in coming down.

Good going Owen. I really liked the coarse when I Dave & I took it over a year ago. I had some of the same issues with the Venture, the instructor rode mine also to see how to handle it better. He mentioned my pull back risers and the clutch zone also. They make it look easy on all types of bikes. Practice, Practice, Practice. Dave great job on the pics, they should hire you for every class.

Dave suggested this place last year, we liked it. And it's close to the Strand. Don't know if the venture will be running by then, if not we are going to drive down.

Ed, don't be scared of this bunch. they don't bite. Since i am in Pearland also, join the site and contact me. I've learned so much from this site and with friends working on our rides. You are welcome to ride along with the wife and I to meet up on our get togethers anytime. Its a great time always.

Had a Hot blast at Maint Day at Owen & Margrets home in N. Houston. Alot of work went on thru out the day for everyone, from radiator/fan work, tire changes, cutting down of a 1st & 2nd Gen windshield, electrical wiring, oil change, fuel filter replacements, spark plug changeout and Ponch installing his new guage setup with a tach on my 05 Midnight. Ponch sure does great work, thanks again David. And mucho thanks to Owen & Margret for putting on a great day for everyone. Mollie & I enjoyed the day very much visiting with everyone. And BOOMER the cheesecake was fantastic as usual, Dale enjoyed your piece very much.

Owen, I will bring my SWR meter along, Can't wait, counting down till next Sat. I will be having Ponch's guages installed and riser's put on Mollie's Vstar. Also trying to recruit several other Venture owners that I ride with in the Brazoria County Cavalry to tag along.

Owen, counting the days. Mollie and I will be bringing some chips, Mollies great guacamole dip and salsa made w/Texas gunpowder. Will need extra water. LoL. Can't wait, Ponch fixing me up with a set guages for my Midnight.

Dave, glad your back safe, looks like a great trip. Sure filled in the center of the country on your map. Look forward to some stories at Owen's MD next month. Glad jamie got to ride some of the great rodes up there. See ya.
