  4. Got a new HID setup installed with the on/off switch. Tried some of the wireing mods to no avail. Still have the headlight out lite on the cms, I just cut one side of the flashing warning telling me that the bulb is out but the hi/low works great off the handlebar switch. Hope to pull the collector off to check for leaks and weld it up if needed, and pull the drive shaft and grese the splines. That would be it for winter projects now come on sunshine and melt this dang snow away.
  5. PM sent..

  8. Dear Don and Eileen, This was Dan and my 1st m-day event, and we loved it. We met so many great people and just enjoyed the comrady and relaxation. Deb and Dan:thumbsup2:
  9. Dan that evaporator coil looks like its 24000 btu or 2 tons of cooling by the model number you posted. The coil is made cool to the touch by the refrigent boiling off in it. when the coil is cool the heat from the houses passes through it and is absorbed and transfered outside . I don't know why your getting such high prices but around here any contractor can get a fairley good replacement for less then 200 bucks. It dosen't have to have quick connect fittings unless it a real real old system that used a plastic flexable pre charge line set that was sold over 25 years ago..Just cut and soder the fittings. a filter drier should be put in the small liquid line by the coil. vacume system down to a good vacume and charge with amount of refrigent listed on outside condensor unit. that number is usually good for 15 feet of copper from condensor to evaporator. if longer add .5xfeet for extra refrigent. Good luck..

  14. :beersign:Been plowing. The crap won't give me a break. I do my drive, the lot at work, the lot at church, mother&fatherlaws and sometimes help some buds with lots they have. Don't get me worng the extra $ is good but we get enough 2 & 4" snow to keep you going back night and day. Would like to move south but would shure miss the rides and country here in old Ohio.
  15. Received my wrench today. what a fine piece of work. Hope to dig my way through the snow to the garage and see where the adjustement i made with a center punch really is. Thanks again and a great tool to add to my collection. Dan Gamble (a.k.a. campfire12):D:D:D:D:D

  18. I drive a 84 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 pu with a rebuilt 350 that i personlly did. Bored 40 over, heads shaved 400 thou, headers with a edlebrock 650 manual choke carb and peformer manafold. Drivetrain has 175000 miles on her and i plow snow with her every winter. I love my truck even though she is looking a little rough in her old age. My better half Deb, drives a 2001 Jeep wrangler soft top 4x4. I think it's kinda small but she loves it and the dang thing will go just about anyware. We have allways had at least one 4x4 in the drive, guess it has something to do with liveing in the snow of Ohio.
  19. Why would you spend that kind of bread on a oil filter? Napa gold or Napa powersports oil filters are the best. Consumer report said that a few years ago. I have been useing them on everything for a long time now and no problems. Great product and usually in stock. If not they have it next day. Try them.
  20. Thouht i could do better.23
  21. 9 deg f here in east Ohio at 11am this morning. Burrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
  22. 4.5 inches of the white stuff on the very east central side of Ohio. Been out plowing snow this morning so the good folks around here can go to church.
  23. Congrates..Great Achievement..
  24. As far as the gas to the house is concerned you might want to have a look at the gas pressure.. In my experence the gas lines to the house are usually steel. The gas line rust and gets pin holes in it. The pressure in the gas line is less then 1 psi. messured in inches of water colum.Ground water will find its way in and lay in low parts of the line. With the burners fired up the gas pressure should remain the same out of the gas valve.Aprox3.5 inches of water colum. If it has water in it the gauge will drop pressure and bounce back back up and down and if you have a gas hot water heater you can fire it up while watching the furnace burners. If one or the other burners drop pressure you will notice it. Only hope then is replaceing the gas line. This is just one of the worst things that can happen. Hope its not happing there..Many things can make the pilot blow out. cracked heat exchangers can expand the crack open when the burners are on and blow the pilot out as soon as the burners go out. Check out the heat exchanger with a small mirror and flash light. if theres a registrer on the plenum then maybe you can get a look at the heat exchanger there..Any way goood luck with your troubleshooting. hope its just a week pilot, thermocouple, or gas valve.. I"ve been in the furnace business now for over 30 yrs and these are some of the things i've found..Good Luck. Buy the way guys. People buy new cars for 25,000 and trade themin in less then 10 years, You buy a furnace for 3,000 and expect it to heat your home for 30 years or better? Go figgure!
  25. 24x36 garage with a 75,000 btu oil furnace we took out of a house a couple years ago and i rebuilt. Gets the garage to about 70 in a half hour. Makes it nice for emergency car breakdowns and bike work in the winter. I do turn it off when im not workin g in there. Wife's jeep stays in the garage and my old truck gets the windows scraped in winter.
