Used to do the Sun Drop things; I upgraded to Mtn Dew and just stayed with it. But as you get a little age on you, you do less and less of even the good things.

Got to try that one. I see you are one of those Texas boys. I was doing a little consulting for a Texas company until last year; the bottom fell out of the market. They called me a logistics consultant, i.e, I play with trains, ships barges, trucks, etc. Sure do miss going to Texas; I loved the money and the friends I made.

Is that a northern thing; haven't heard of that drink here in Zebulon, but I guess I could try. Jim Beam and diet mountain dew, caffeine free does pretty good around here, especially sitting around the pool listening to oldies. Anyway, can't wait to get my sync tools and stop the popping.

I ordered Morgan Carb Tune (Thanks to Sky Doc), I had my Yankee buddy sync my carbs back in October and they need it again. I didn't have the nerve to ask him to come to Zebulon, NC (he lives in Pa.) to sync the carbs again so I called him, found out what kind he had and ordered them. When they come in I'll read the instructions, sync the carbs and hang out my mechanics sign. I alredy have a jack and Carbon Ones adaptor for the jack; what else does someone need?

Just went out the garage and yes, I found right side hinge with midnight venture inscribed. Had to buy the saddlebag this year; got clipped by a friend and busted my saddlebag. Give me your address and its on the way.

A number of my fellow PGR and Rolling Thunder riders are heading to DC on the 28th and come back the 31st. We will celebrate Memorial day and pay tribute to our fellow Vets. I've never been but I understand a few thousand bikes will be there. Hope Congress and the White House people are out of town; I wouldn't want to get s!!!! all over my bike; its a white one and it would really show. Hope everyone has a great Memorial weekend and don't forget to tell a vet "thanks".

I recently had someone's peg hit my right rear saddlebag turning a corner and you know what happened. Around $700 later its done except for the pin stripe around the luggage rack. I have a 2004 R/S Venture, pearl white. Does anyone have this stripe laying around I could purchase? The dealer in Wilson, NC was no help. Thanks..............

If you leave Durham and come down 64 Hwy East toward Rocky Mount, look for the Hwy 39 exit just out of Zebulon. Turn right onto Hwy 39 and Im on the corner of Hwy 39 and Hagwood Road, overlooking Bunn Lake, maybe 35 minutes from Durham. The pool is open and the bar stocked. Thats the good news. Bad news, I will be leaving on May 28 for DC and meet up with maybe 10,000/15,000 friends on motorcycles for Memorial Day. I'll be coming back on Monday, May 31. Other than that, come on down and enjoy some southern hospitality. I'll leave the light on for ya.

Jean, you don't know me but I am the guy your hubby stayed with in Zebulon and he and I had a blast, as well as made my bike run great. I consider both of you a friend and I have invited both of you to spend a little time down South; I hope you take me up on this. Now, Tell that Yank to do what you say and get well soon. Our prayers are with you and Earl. Stay in touch.

I just got back from the Outer Banks today; they are having bike week there and love motorcycles. Unfortunately, bike week is over tomorrow. My wife, the yorky and me had a great time, lots of good seafood and the yorky loved to ride. I sure hope things work out and spend a little time wearing out the rubber on those new tires. Safe riding.....

Just to let everyone know (in case you care), I got my Clearview shield the evening of April 22 and put it on that night. I like the shield but not their customer service. I'm satisfied with the product; just be prepared for a long wait. They need to let you know that it could be a long wait. This thread got a lot of responses and that good. When you scan the responses this gives you a good idea of whats happening out there in Venture Rider land.

I think I'll mowsey on down around Thursday and come back Friday or Saturday. Glad you brought it up; I didn't know it was going on. Sure hope the duck tape holds my saddle bag together.

Well, I was making the left turn around the Capitol in Raleigh, NC at todays Tea Party event and had to stop just into the turn because of a hole in the pavement. My buddy hit the right rear saddle bag and boy did it bust into peices. I have a 2004 Venture, pearl white..........does anyone have or know of a right rear saddle bag they want to get rid of?

I am another one that hopes to never have to use assistance, but if I do, it would be good to have some friends tucked away that could help me. How does this work; I don't carry around the listing or have my laptop with me. Come on guys and gals; help me out.

I have been trying to contact Clearview this week to trace my order and the local and national phone numbers reply that they are full with messages and cannot accept the call. They cashed my check on March 17; has anyone heard of problems with this company? They have $261.74 of my money......and no windshield.

My wife's Yorky really wants to go riding but he is now around 10 lbs and won't fit in my jacket. When is was a little pup I would put him in my jacket and away we would go. I have a venture R/S. Thanks.

I just ordered my a minute ago. Boy have you got me in trouble cause I have been preaching to my bride that I am now retired and we are on that "fixed income" and can't go just buying up things and shopping. Now I just spent almonst $168 with the 10% discount. Byt the way, thanks.
