    Wanting to get started on my '88 and it is needing faring parts. looking for a left side in at least fair shape. lower faring dash panel. will entertain any ideas you have. as i said before, i want to give folks here an opportunity first. I thought i had found what i needed but am no longer getting replies from the member so i guess he changed his mind....no problem, i do that from time to time myself. But i need to get started.....

    I can agree with what advice has been already given with an emphasis on making sure the kids know you and know you Love them....Their day will come and rest assured they will remember who loved them. Talk to your Pastor, don't have one? get one! He will help you answer the "where is God in all this" question.

    posting a few picts of what i have and the damage. You can see that there is a big chunk missing from the left half. the right side has a crack where the silver tape is. the tops are in bad shape as well.

    Looks like i am finally going to get started on the repair/restoration of my 88VR. I am looking for fairing halvs in good or poor condition but repariable, I might even consider pieces that i can use to make what i have already got whole. Probably going to need the dash panels too... Just wanted to give Y'all first shot before i go to the web in seach of parts.

    I ran mine "naked" for a while too.......loved it. now it is fully dressed, love that too. Keep asking questions. you aint bothering nobody, they live for this stuff(i think) And, I agree with everything the others have said. BTW, I and many others here like these so much, we own more than one.

    Build your straights.........I love mine. But; keep the others around cause if your like me, you might wan't to go back for a while..........but then ya just have to take it all back off and enjoy the open collector for a while.

    My anger therapist (wife made me go) said i need to keep the "TRAIN" from ever getting up to speed.................never figgured this one out because by the time i get to that point, it is too late! Seems like sometimes the steam just has to go somewhere. That being said, Matthew 6:14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins...Is what I try to remember. (the poop eating grin probably would have been too much for me too!!)

    Trying again. The white one is my 83 that hes been fitted with 86 model luggage. and 86 model electrics including the instrument panel. (rear sub-frame had to be changed to attach the luggage)
