Considering that we have an event way out west ( and north ) this year how about hold that thought for next year. Would give lots of time for feedback and planning.
retired sine 2002. Take a hit on taxes every year. When I was working the government charged us a taxable benefit for parking at work even though there was no parking lot. Now they charge me a taxable benefit on the "free passes" I get. This year it is $2200.
Love to be there but it is a bit far for a weekend jaunt, besides, just not sure if I could handle the cold I keep hearing you southern guys griping about.
We had a new CEO brought in one time. He remarked to me that he had never seen a company that hated its employees the way this one did. We also had one manager for every five employees. Human resources was better known as inhuman resources.
I have the same thing. I had treatment for it some time ago. The treatment was extremely painful and now the growths are back. Just to compound things I shattered the cartilage in my left diddl....oops...middle finger splitting wood and shattered the cartilage in my right middle finger in my accident. The doc tells me the only cure is to put in a metal splint in each finger. I will go through life giving everyone the double finger. I think I will just have to live with it. When I saw the specialist he told me they have a new treatment where they can inject some stuff that dissolves the growths.
Never make Father of the Year. Totally irresponsible if not suicidal. On the ferries here they stop any car where the driver has a child on their lap or is yapping on a cellphone. It is illegal to have a child on your lap while driving.
What cold? You southerners seem to be hogging it. Two days ago I bucked up some trees then knocked off for the afternoon. Sat on the sundeck in 72F sunshine with a book and a glass.
Yesterday. Finished the bucking and sat on sundeck again in 74 F sunshine. I think I will be getting the bike out soon. Lots of rain to come yet.
Almost got stuck. The boss and I were on a trip up on the north end of Vancouver island. We came around a corner and there was 6 inches of loose gravel that had just been laid down. The dump truck was still there with its back up. It was too late to stop so I leaned forward and dug my elbows into my ribs to brace the handle bars and powered up. We slowly bogged down but finally just made it through. Another five feet and we would not have made it. When we came back later a couple cars had been through so I just followed their ruts. If we had stopped I doubt I could have held the bike up as my feet would have just sunk into the gravel.
Replaced the battery in my bike. For some reason could not get it right. After a very frustrating time I finally figured it out. When they built the battery they put the top on backwards. I connected the negative to what was labeled the positive and vice versa and it worked.
A friend came over to visit and we sat on the veranda having a couple road pops. We had been sitting there for a while when I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood of his car. For some reason the wiring shorted out and started a fire.
Wife and I went up to 100 mile house in her van for a game dinner. On the way back on the Duffy Lake road she would not listen to me ( not that she ever does) or let me drive and burned the brakes up. Fortunately we had a bottle of water in the van and I put out the fires. THEN she let me drive the rest of the way down the hills.
Imagine the great bike roads that are out in them hills. I do remember you leading us on a "short cut" that involved riding past traffic on the sidewalk for a few blocks.
Can't make it to the show. Hurricane Janet is president of the Scottish Dancing group and Saturday is Robbie Burns night. Looking forward to some Haggis.
Last time I went to the show it cost me $ 20,000.00. Got a nice Venture midnight special though.
I would definitely use the north entrance. Old Faithful and its lodge are worth a visit. If you have time Jackson Hole is interesting. Sometimes the wildlife gets real up close and personal. I had a buffalo come out of the woods and run alongside of my bike for a ways. We were eyeball to eyeball. The last time we were there the elk were in the town as it was calving time. I noticed one elk with a huge rack. A ranger told me he was " Old number nine" that being the number of cars he had destroyed. I would go out the east entrance and on to Cody then up to Red Lodge via Bear Tooth.
