  1. Well this will be exciting. Just think of the crowd this will draw into Chat tonight. At least one more person, wouldn't you think Margaret? I am going to have to change into my Sunday's best for this. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  2. Yes Scooter, We are riding out to Sturgis from Cincinnati. We are riding through Iowa though. I will let folks know about your 83. I am sure someone would be interested in it. YamaMama
  3. My husband Ron and I are riding out from Cincinnati, Saturday morning (early). It is 1200 miles for us to get there. We probably will be there on Monday and for sure Tuesday. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  4. Well now, you do not know for sure this was built up north. I never said that. But we do look up Grandmother's silver coin collections in the non riding season. YamaMama

    I WON!!!

Dray, I am so glad that you posted what happened. I was worrying about you. I am glad it worked for the better. YamaMama:big-grin-emoticon:
  6. The owner figures around 1100lbs. With the lower chrome for the footpads, he had trouble putting the kickstand down. So the designer of the bike, who is not the owner now designed a hand lever up on the dash to lower the kickstand with ease. The photos that I posted here, do not show the lower foot pads that I am talking about. Those were added later after my photos were taken. You can see them on the magazine cover. The owner traded a 66 Mustang and an older Corvette for this bike. Yama Mama
  7. Here are the only photos that I have of this bike, and these are from many years ago. I will do better next time I see it. By the way, what kind of bike is this? Yama Mama

  9. I am going to get on my soap box! This whole subject really gets to me. It is bad enough trying to be seen by cagers when on a motorcycle, with people using cell phones. But now you have to worry about TEXT MESSAGING. To risk your own life and the life of other innocent people, for the totally unnecessary use of TEXT MESSAGING is absurd. It usually takes someone to be hurt or killed for things to be changed. I would think the insurance companies might have lobbiest to assist in forming such legislation. I wonder if anyone in the ABATE groups have done any attempts to help change this. YAMA MAMA:2cents:
  10. Thanks for the warning Kid. Just to let you know, our son is an Indiana State Trooper and I will let him know about your bike with the Jack Daniels on it. Hehehehe. Nah, just kidding Kid. We sure will wave if we see you traveling by. You be careful and ride safe. Yama Mama
  11. What absolutely beautiful photos! Didn't God do good work! I would love to see more. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  12. Deb, What a kind offer of you to make. I certainly do appreciate that. I will let you know. We are leaving Saturday morning early. We probably would be going through your are on Sunday. Just guessing. I got your phone number off the VR assistance list. Maybe we will give you a call on our way home. Once again, that was so sweet of you. Yama Mama
  13. I am glad everything worked out ok for you. I also wanted to comment on the obvious. Leadwolf had a problem and everyone was going to go out of their way to help him in his time of need. I do not think you would find that kind of friendship in many other motorcycle groups. I just had to say something about that. I am so happy to be a part of a group like this. Hey and did you like Batesville? I would like to live there when I retire. I love it there. Yama Mama:bighug:
  14. That is truly a sad story. I am sure the family will be in shock for sometime. I do not know what the odds of that happening to someone are, but it probably would be similar to getting struck by lightening standing at the kitchen sink. I will pray for his poor family. Yama Mama
  15. Thanks Ben for that information. I guess that is why Ron never wants me to go to the malls. Yama Mama:bighug:
  16. Spear dear, I do not need glasses; I just drink from the bottle. Hehehehehe, YamaMama
  17. Ok Dan, I am usually ready before Ron is. I get the bike packed all up. Then he goes in an out of the house probably 5 or 6 times double checking things. Then he gets on the bike and starts it, then he turns the bike off and goes back in the house again. I start walking back into the house, because I figure he cannot find something important. Then he says well are you ready yet? I look at him kindly and say I think I might be. By the time this all has happens, I have to go to the bathroom one last time. Then we hit the road for our trip. It is the usual routine. Oh and our son is at home, too. But at any rate, I will give you a round about time we are going to leave this Saturday morning. Hehehehe. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  18. We will be there probably by Tuesday. It just depends on how many miles we go a day. It is 1200 miles from our home. If you see a 99 RSV from Ohio, it probably is us. Yama Mama:hurts:
  19. Ok I will try again, strange though because they show up on my screen. YamaMama
  20. http://www.ridinon.com/archives/2009_02/2009_02_p16.jpgThis past Sunday we were riding in Indiana and met this unique motorcyclist with a very unique motorcycle. Here are photos. There are 67 silver dollars that all date back into the 1800's.I of course, did not bring my camera. I will try to get better photos when I see him again. He lives in Guilford, Indiana. http://www.ridinon.com/archives/2009_02/2009_02_c01.jpg
  21. THANK YOU BRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yama Mama:bighug:
  22. Wow Annie would that not be a cool thing if I did see them! I will be sure to say hello if I do. That is really exciting that they are coming all the way to South Dakota. Yama Mama:thumbsup2:
  23. 140? I never heard of any place being that hot at least above the earth's surface! Keep drinking the water and be careful. Yama Mama
  24. Thank you SteveB, we plan to be very careful. But if you want you could still send a prayer our way. Thank you, YamaMama:hurts:
  25. Ron spoke to Lanna in Spearfish and I think we will be able to get a tent campsite there. So that is a big burden off of our minds. So Now we will be leaving on Saturday morning. Now I am getting excited, a little afraid of what we are getting into, but also excited because I have always wanted to see this event.
