  3. You know what is really strange about that statement? I understood it. Hehehehehe Yama Mama
  4. I have been a nurse in a school district for 18 years. Every year when it gets to be the week before school starts up again, I am afraid I get a bit down. I know I am spoiled, I get more time off than other nursing jobs. I admit I am spoiled. So tonight I was shopping with Ron and I spotted a little girl in the store, who I know goes to the school where I worked. Her eyes lit up and she ran over to give me a hug. I think it was God's way of making me remember why I work where I do. Silly me. Yama Mama
  5. Great photos Dennis. Please post more when you are able too. Ride Safe. Yama Mama:hurts:
  6. Hi Debbie, I suppose it is a matter of personal opinion. Here in Ohio we have the Hocking Hills State Park in the southeastern area of Ohio. It is beautiful especially in the fall. The Black Hills of South Dakota also were wonderful. We have not at this point ridden in the Canadian Rockies or Glacier National Park, which I can only imagine are spectacular. I have always wanted to ride our bike through Yellowstone. We were within 800 miles of reaching her this last time. So I am getting closer. The photos you shared with us of your trip look real hard to beat though. Yama Mama
  7. That was nice Dan that you got to go to his dealership. There was a big area for his dealership in Sturgis. Of course, they had a black cloth draped over the sign. He certainly was a very giving, generous individual. Yama Mama
  8. I know I see them more than I used to. I believe all together we counted around 50 on our trip to South Dakota. Of course, there were 20 zillion Harleys and one new Voyager. Yama Mama
  9. Good for you Annie! I am so happy you finally got to ride again. It looks very nice too. Ride safe now. Yama Mama
  10. I really like that color rooster. Good choice. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  11. Yes he was a musical genius to say the least. Yama Mama
  12. I did not want to do it! Yama Mama
  13. Glad you are home safe. It is an amazing place to ride a motorcycle isn't it. Yama Mama
  14. Well I do not know, but I assumed it was a stock bike because it was sitting right with the bikes used for demos. But I have made so many mistakes on here since our trip to South Dakota, I probably am wrong. Yama Mama
  15. No it is a stock model, I do not recall the name of it however. It really was sharp looking. Yama Mama
  16. Hi Everybody, We rode our 99RSV all the way to South Dakota from our home in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was 3600 miles round trip. The bike preformed beautifully even though we obviously abused her. I have some photos posted below out of the 700 I took. It was truly an experience we will never forget. For the most part we camped in our 7 X 9 tent. We were comfortable until the King size air mattress sprung a leak the second night. This is such a beautiful country we live in. I was in constant awe of the landscape. The Badlands and the Black Hills are amazing. We rode some fantastic roads that I would love to ride again. We met many wonderful people and we almost run off the road by a biker gang dude. The Lord looked out for us and brought us safely home. We have never seen so many motorcycles in our life. We did run into one VR member in the Badlands. I know we will never travel that far again without a trailer. We would not abuse our bike and Ron like that again. The winds on the open road are very strong and with the cargo we were carrying it was just too much to handle. We even packed light. Here are a few photos, I am still working on uploading them on Photobucket . Yama Mama
  17. Annie I do not think you would want to put one of those in the meter. Everyone of those silver dollars are worth a lot of money. I would rather not say how much, but believe me they are worth a lot. Yama Mama:hurts:
  18. One of the nations largest Harley Dealers died in a crash on his way to Sturgis. Here is the story. http://www.news-journalonline.com/NewsJournalOnline/News/Headlines/frtHEAD01073109.htm Bruce Rossmeyer owned 13 Harley Dealships and of course, the one in Daytona. Yama Mama
  19. I certainly hope you all have a safe trip. Have a lot of fun and enjoy your time there. Ron and I are leaving in the morning too. I hope real early. 1200 miles to Sturgis. This is our longest trip ever. I cannot wait. YamaMama:big-grin-emoticon:
  20. I will pray that it heals up in time for the rally. Keep it elevated and ice it every hour for 20 to 30 minutes. Yama Mama
  21. hal that would be great to me you. I will keep a look out for you. I know the chances are probably not good to run across you in this sea of bikes and riders, but who knows. Thanks for letting me know. Have a safe ride and have fun. Yama Mama
