To night I received a message from Eileen, telling me that Don (Freebird) has double pneumonia. Eileen says he is very sick. So if everyone here could please say some healing prayers for Don, I think it would be wonderful. Eileen asks that people do not call their home. Don is resting and on medications right now. Please pray for Don and when I find out more information I will share it here. Yama Mama

Boys, I certainly am not pointing a finger at anyone. No one is to blame in my eyes! Now I just need a new rear tire and all will be well in my world. Yama Mama

Marcarl I think we are once again off topic. All I was asking was who needs to get new tires for their scoots? I just wanted to clarify that I am totally innocent unless I am proven guilty. All the names have been changed to protect the innocent if there are any innocent folks here. Now with all that being said, the weather is getting nicer and the bike is saying let's go on a ride but what the heck about getting a new tire. I am real excited about coming to the MD again. I just hope my hugging is up to you high standards. Yama Mama

I have not had the pleasure of meeting any of you fine people, but the point of this is the fact we are a part of a great group of great people who love motorcycling. Yep that is the truth. Good to hear you all had a good experience with each other. Yama Mama

Moped and I are camping. I would appreciate it greatly that this time when I tell Moped to hammer the tent stakes in that someone repeats that to him. We have been married so long he is wife deaf. Yama Mama

Marcarl, Perhaps your three wheel scoot has a spare tire, but since we are still on the two wheel variety we do not have a spare. If we did have a spare Moped would be making me carry the dang thing. Hehehehe. And I would never say anything like that. Yama Mama

So in other words, if I hug Marcarl, we get a new tire. That is so kind of you Marcarl. You are the best. I am so excited. I am just kidding, I know that my hugs are not worth a new tire, but it sounded good. Although I am a really good hugger. Yama Mama

Marcarl you have enlightened me on this subject. I understand completely. I want to thank Moped for holding off purchasing any new old tire for our bike. You probably are right he is only thinking of our welfare. But Saddlebum says he is still the best hugger. Yama Mama

Patch some how that does not make me feel any better. So I guess I will just sit here tonight holding on to my whip as I watch Moped sleeping in his recliner. I really can't wait until Spring. Yama Mama

Okay let me get this straight. I should not worry about the fact that our rear tire has lasted for quite a few years. And even if it seems as thought Moped has not ordered a new tire, I should just get out my whip and give him attention. I think I have this a bit mixed up, but oh well. Yama Mama

I will have her people get back with your people. However, I would not stay up late tonight waiting to hear from her. Yama Mama

Hello, Oh I do not know anything about tires other than I know we need two of them. Unfortunately, I know we need a new rear tire for the 99RSV. I asked Moped yesterday if he has ordered one as yet. So my question is, is it nagging to keep asking if he ordered one? I think it shows that I want to ride this riding season, and I want the bike to be safe. Now as many know, in the years past, Moped has decided to tear the bike completely apart right before MD in Oberlin. I guess he likes stress or what ever you would call it. Yama Mama

Happy Birthday Freebird! I thought what could I give Don that always makes him happy. Here it is. Oh it is not much but it comes from the heart. Yama Mama

Personally Big Tom, I do not see a correlation between "Donkeys, mules or Burros" an any certain political affiliation. Now if I were to write "asses" then I get it. I hope I am not in trouble now, but then again I usually am. Yama Mama:Im not listening to:Im not listening to:Im not listening to

I cannot believe this poll is still on here. So I had to just right something. We always wear our helmets. It is just standard policy. It would not feel natural to not wear our helmets. Yama Mama

Even if she sees a donkey? Just wondered. They are all animals and some are larger than others. We were so close to a deer one time I swear I could of petted it. Yama Mama

I guess the whole point of my post is that being a passenger is a totally different perspective than being in the driver seat. I suppose I am trying to explain to those guys who do not understand why their wives and girlfriends do not feel comfortable on the back of their bikes. I have always been comfortable. We have had many close calls. I have learned many good prayers to use in really bad situations. I remember one time coming home from SKID's house in WV, when we were caught in a torrential downpour. So bad we could not see anything ahead of us. All I remember seeing was the raging stream of water along the side of the road. There have been many times I was relying on Ron's skills and the word of God. So I guess it is different for all of us. Even though I have been through some really difficult situations I have continued to enjoy riding our bike. I suppose I will know when I no longer should be a passenger. Yama Mama

I do understand how some wives are just not comfortable on the back of a motorcycle. I am a tall woman, and sitting on the back of a RSV which is already pretty high up, it is a different feeling. I have been on the back of a HD Ultra and it does sit a bit lower. Also the RSTD sits a little lower than our bike. I like sitting higher to be able to see the sights as we ride along. I guess I am just conditioned to it. I completely understand ladies who have had medical issues. You definitely have to build up to longer rides. The longest ride we ever did was on our way to Sturgis, where the first day out we went 800 miles. I remember I was worn out and Ron's legs shook for a while after getting off the bike and there was no good rock music playing at the time. Yama Mama

timNo cabin fever, just thought I would check in. Remember when you and I used to chat all the time in the chatroom. Seems like so long ago. Yama Mama

Yes, I am a passenger. I sit on our 99RSV's couch. I have enjoyed it every since the year we bought in in 2002. I am not what most people would refer to as a brave woman. I can be very cowardly at times. I am no Annie Oakley or Joan of Arc at all. When I tell some of my friends the trips we have gone on on our bike, many say they could never do that. A couple of years ago, I was having problems with sciatica, which was very painful. I could not even get on the bike. Ron was not happy with the fact that I was not riding, so he seldom went out on the bike himself. Since then I have worked to fix this problem and last year we started riding more together again. I could see the difference in Ron's attitude once again. So I guess we are back in the saddle again, or on the couch which ever you say. I hope to continue riding as long as Ron wants to. Yama Mama

.Okay you know I am a nurse. Dr. Craig is right. You could of had a concussion and damaged the vertebra in your neck and spine. Dr. Craig was right about the worst thing to do was lie down. Please go have this checked out, I am glad you are doing better, but it was pretty scary what happened to you. Please have your skates bronzed and place them by your fireplace for a nice decoration. At least on the motorcycle you wear a helmet. Yama Mama
