  1. Congratulations Don and Patti, We should a 40's biker group. I hope you have a great day! Yama Mama:smile5:
  2. Well I really am sorry about all of that happened to you on one lousy day. I am glad that you did not get hurt, and I hope they can fix your new truck up like new. That is why Ron says he does not buy me a new car, because it is so upsetting when they get a bump. I guess that is as good as any reason. I hope Gracie gets all cleaned up. I bet she is really upset about that old skunk critter. Yama Mama
  3. Moped and I have been going to the Newport Motorcycle Rally every evening. Normally, in these temps 105 predicted today, we would not bother going out. Thursday night one of our favorite bands was appearing there so we bit the bullet and went downtown to see them. It actually was not too bad, because there was breeze and it was in the upper 80's which is cool to us now. Last night, was another story. We left the rally at 11:30 PM and I was still sweating. Of course, this heat has hurt the attendance for the rally. Most people show up after 8:00PM. It is a shame because it is such a beautiful site for a motorcycle rally. We will go again tonight. We did see a First Gen, a RSTD, and of course, we were the only RSV there. May be tonight there will be more people and bikes. Yama Mama:crackup:
  4. It is so good to hear from you again. I will pray for and your safe return to your home and family. Thank you for your service to our country. Try to give us updates more often when you are able to of course. Yama Mama
  5. As everyone has already said, I am so sorry to hear of this accident. I will pray for him and his family with the loss of his wife. Yama Mama
  6. Welcome back oh faithful readers,of AS THE WHEELS TURN! Things unfortunately are not getting better. Yama Mama reads the morning phoney newspaper again! Yama Mama is very upset. She decides she is going to call Freebird to help to find the thieves. Mama also knows she has not told Moped, about the bike being gone. Mama knows she is going to be in big trouble because of letting Guido Pizzini deliver a Free Pizza. Mainly because she ate it all and did not leave any for Moped. Mama knows something has to be done to stop this craziness. Oh for the Love of Pizza this has to stop before some one gets hurt. Mama calls Mini-Muffin to tell her that she is going to let Freebird know what is going on. To think this all started with trying to come up with a surprise for Freebird for maintenance day next June. Who would have that that two novice writers could extend this story for pages and pages of exciting, unimportant drivel! Mama calls Freebird. She tells Freebird that many of the VR members have had their bikes stolen, after receiving a mysterious box from Guido Pizzini's World Wide Pizza Delivery. Freebird says,"Oh No, I just agreed to have a truck load of mysterious boxes delivered to my home. Mama says she is going to notify Sargent Saturday to let him know. Sargent Saturday was eating a doughnut when Mama calls him. Mama tells him about the expected truck delivery to Freebird's home. "Thank you Mama Mam, for calling me to let me know. I will get on this as soon as I finish my doughnut!" Meanwhile, Bongobobny feels all this is his fault. All over a stupid free pizza from his friend Guido. If only Bongobobny had opened the box, we would know what this is all about. Guido Pizzini is busy having his delivery men load the mysterious boxes into the delivery truck. "You guys, got to hurry up!" "We got to get this delivered to Oberlin, Ohio!" Luigi Pizzini says," Guido I want to go ride my new bike!" "Shut up you moron!" "You cannot ride your new bike!" Guido knows that the police are on the look out for any body dressed like a Blues Brother, so he tells Luigi to lie low for the time being, until this dies down! "But Guido, it has a cassette player!" "I do not care what it has, just shut up about it!" "Here is the brochure about it Guido!" Luigi hands Guidio a brochure................ Guido looks over the brochure, "Hey that is a nice bike!", now shut up and load the stinkin truck!" As Guido's delivery men load the truck, a squad car pulls up. It is Sargent Saturday! He walks up to Guido. "I am Sargent Saturday, I am investigating the robbery of many Yamaha Ventures across the nation!" I need the facts, nothing but the facts. Sargent Friday hands Guido the sketch of the suspect that took Yama Mama's bike. "Have you ever seen this man before?" Guido looks at the photo and says," No he no looka familiar to me!" Will Sargent Saturday catch Guido in his obvious lie? Will any more First Gens or Second Gens be stolen? Will this story ever end? For this and more, tune in tomorrow for AS THE WHEELS TURN! The story of people who love to ride and eat. (And get free pizza's too) Yama Mama:stickinouttounge:
  7. Good for you Lewis, I am proud of you for having this test done. Remember what the famous proctologist, Dr. Semour Hiney said,"The end is in sight!" Good Luck with the test! Yama Mama:223:
  8. Welcome back to the most confusing and lengthy, continuing soap opera AS THE WHEELS TURN! After talking to mini-muffin, Mama is very upset. The police should be at Mama's house way, way, way off the road shortly. Mama figures she probably should call Freebird to let him know about the Yamaha First Gens and Second Gens that have been stolen. Maybe Freebird could help warn all the members on the site to lock up their bikes. Suddenly, there is a knock on Mama's door it is Sargent Saturday. Mama lets Sargent Saturday in. Mama, I am here to get the facts, nothing but the facts! Where were you on Monday, June 2? Mama thinks, what is wrong with this guy, but she goes along with the interview, because she needs the help. Mama tells him she was at home, with her faithful dog Cooper. Sargent Saturday continues. Mama Mam what were you doing at the time you discovered your motorcycle was missing? I actually, read about it in the morning newspaper, that our bike was stolen. Sargent Saturday, looks a bit baffled about this comment. Mama Mam, if you want me to help you get your Harley back, you had better tell me the facts, nothing but the facts! Mama says, those are the facts sir. Somehow, the news paper had the story printed before I even reported it. Sargent Saturday says, let me see this newspaper Mama Mam. Mama goes to get the paper. Sargent Saturday looks at the paper and is also very confused. Mama Mam did you notice, that this is not your usual morning paper? This is a phoney newspaper. Mama looked at the paper again and noticed that is did look different than normal. Mama tell Sargent Saturday, about the free pizza from Guido Pizzini's World Wide Pizza Delivery, and the mysterious box, too. Sargent Saturday asks if he could have a cup of coffee. He sits down at Mama's kitchen table. What did the man look like who delivered the pizza Mama Mam? Mama tells Sargent Saturday that the man's name was Luigi Pizzini, he had dark sunglasses, a black suit, and a black fedora. Mama Mam, I will have our artist draw up a sketch of the suspect. Mama Mam does this delivery man look like this sketch? Amazingly, the artist had captured the Luigi Pizzini perfectly! Oh by the way, our bike is not a Harley! Sargent Saturday says, Mama Mam, it is not a Harley? What is the name of your motorcycle Mama Mam? Meanwhile back in Oberlin, Freebird has closed the deal with Guido Pizzini, that he would accept a truck load of mysterious boxes and store them at his estate in Oberlin. Freebird tells Aileen, that there will be a delivery truck coming with a load of mysterious boxes in the near future. Aileen is not very happy about the news. Where will she store the boxes? At the same time, Ruffy goes out side to look at his new chrome wheels on his 99RSV, when he discovers his bike is missing. Ruffy tells Jean to call the 911! Who could have stolen his bike? Will Mama be able to explain the difference in a Harley and an RSV to Sargent Saturday? Will Freebird receive his delivery of mysterious boxes? Will there be more First Gens and Second Gens stolen? Stayed tuned to your favorite soap opera. AS THE WHEELS TURN! Yama Mama:stickinouttounge:
  9. Happy Fourth of July everyone! With all the negativity we constantly are listening to on the news everyday, we should remember that even with it's faults the America is still the greatest country in the world! Of course, our friends in Australia, Iceland and Europe may differ in their opinions. Yama Mama:325:
  10. Thank you Taters, Happy Fourth of July to you and all our members! http://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/16365465/2/stock-photo-16365465-happy-little-girl-saluting-with-american-flag.jpg YAMA MAMA:smile5:
  11. That looks really nice!. Nice work! Yama Mama
  12. Oh, I like that one! Yama Mama:smile5:
  13. I am sorry to hear that Mini! Obviously, they had very poor judgement! Yama Mama
  14. Have another cup of coffee Mini! YAMA MAMA!
  15. Wow this is more exciting than "AS THE WHEELS TURN!" I am glad everyone is okay. Moped and I actually were going to try to go to this MD, after being strongly encouraged by Flyinfool. As it turned out, with trees falling on our car, no telling what would of happened if we went. But it sounds like it was fun. Maybe we will make it next year. But we will take out a lot more insurance first! Yama Mama
  16. Welcome back faithful readers of the continually entertaining and I must add FREE episode of AS THE WHEELS TURN! It is early in the morning at Yama Mama's home way, way, way off the road. As she walks out of the house, she is half asleep. She picks up the newspaper and realizes she does not have her glasses on. So she takes the paper inside and sits down at the kitchen table with a nice strong cup of coffee. She sips her coffee, as the coffee finally clears her foggy mind. Wait a minute I did not talk to any police. What is going on? Yama Mama immediately runs out to her garage and sees the head lines are true. Their beloved motorcycle was gone. I have got to wake up Moped, but how am I going to tell him what happened. As Mama tries to wake up Moped, Mini calls to tell her what was in the mysterious smaller box. Mama says, " Mini our bike is missing!". I think it was Guido's delivery guy Luigi! Mini says" OH NO! Mini thinks she better go and see if all of her bikes are there, especially "The Blonde" Muffinman's favorite! Yes, our faithful readers, this story is getting worse (if that is possible). Mini says,"We better call all the people who got free pizzas, and warn them about their bikes! Mean while down in Sunny Florida, Ruffy is still thinking about that pizza. He already had called Dano, MarCarl, and Calamari about the free pizzas from Guido. Back in Oberlin, Ohio, Freebird and Aileen get a call. They are hoping it is some good news. It is in a way, it is Squidley calling to tell Freebird about Guido Pizzini's offer of free pizza if you agree to keep a mysterious box. Freebird says, okay, I will call. We love any thing free and especially mysterious boxes. Of course, he already has a mysterious box shipped from Aussie Annie. Freebird calls the number to Guido Pizzini's World Wide Pizza Delivery. Guido answers, " This is Guido, What you want?" Freebird says," he was told that he can get a free pizza if he agrees to keep a box for you for a few days. " Guido says," Do not tell me you are a member of this group of VentureRiders!" Yep, Freebird says." I actually am the leader of the group!" Guido is quiet. "Ok, I tell you what I'm a gonna do!" You can have your free pizza, and I am sending a truck load of mysterious boxes to you! Is that okay! Freebird says," Can I have extra sauce?" Will Freebird agree to receiving the truck load of mysterious boxes? Will Mama wake up Moped? Will Mama find out who took their beloved RSV? For this and other tales of glory and pizza, tune in tomorrow for another version of the continuing soap opera AS THE WHEELS TURN!
  17. Well the leaves are getting a little yellow thanks for asking. I think it is my underwear I am needing to replace. Yama Mama:crackup:
  18. Ok I got the seafoam, ducttape, and rubbing compound. I hope it works! Yama Mama:smile5:
  19. I just found Rosalee at 190! Yama Mama:smile5:
  20. The insurance people will be here tomorrow. The first one Ron spoke to said that we will have to drive it to the auto body shop. Ron said,"Mam I do not think that is possible!", then she said she would have some one come and tow it to the body shop. Ron said,"Mam, I do not think this car is exactly able to be fixed!". Then she said, well we could have some one come to your home and Ron agreed that would probably be the best decision. The Lady asked if any one was hurt and Ron says, not that he is aware of! So now, I am laughing! Then she says, it is a shame about your car, and Ron says, "yes, it was my favorite!" I guess you had to be there. It was sort of a thank God, we are alive event to say the least. We just now got our cable and internet back. You know how I need the internet! Yama Mama
  21. Hey Ben, do not complain. How do you think I feel! After this reporter took that photo, my lens fell out. I will be more careful next time! Yama Mama
  22. This past Friday, I went out to pick up a plant that had fallen over, because it was getting a little windy. I noticed it was getting darker, so I went to close Moped's window on his car. We live on a heavily wooded lot. As I turned to go in the garage, I heard a big cracking of wood and then a loud BOOM! As you will see, there were three cars for the tree to land on, and it decided on our son's car. The following photos explain what happened. Yama Mama
  23. Happy Anniversary! I wish you the best! Yama Mama:smile5:
  24. I love that photo with the dog house on the trailer. About the question of the trailer or not, we do not have a trailer, but I think we need one. Ron seems to be against it. I know when we went out to Sturgis we packed as light as possible, but it would have been easier on him and his knees if we had had one. Yama Mama
  25. WOMAN'S Opinion: The one that I get to ride on! What does it matter which year? Whether it has a cassette player or fuel injection, ours has been good to us since we have owned her. She is trustworthy, comfortable to ride, and I believe looks good. Since we have owned it, we have joined this wonderful group, we have traveled many places and seen many things. We have met many new people that we would never have met with out owning our bike. We like it, and we are keeping it, until we can no longer ride. There, it is the best year and hopefully there will be many more GOOD years! Yama Mama
