Hi Ladies, my name is Peggy but my site name is Yama Mama. I used to post on here all the time, but as life goes on, things change. I just thought I would see if there are any new women members here. I also would like to know if you ride your own motorcycle or if you are a passenger like me. My husband and I have ridden together for many years. We have a 99 RSV and we have ridden many places together. When we bought our bike it had 4000 miles on it and now we have 67,000 miles on it. We really started riding regularly after our three kids got older and were never home. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio, we built our own house with just my Father in law helping, other than the bricks we did it all. I am an RN and I worked my last working career in a school district for 22 years. I have now been retired for 5 years. I have found that I enjoy writing, and so I have been writing stories everyday of the week on Facebook. It has become a habit that I have been doing now for 2 years. So I told you all about me, now if anybody is out there, may be you can tell me about you. Yama Mama

Oops, I forgot Flyinfool's Rum Balls. Actually, I think the fumes are what made my memory bad. I think that is how I wound up in the wrong tent. They are tasty though! Yama Mama

Yammer Dan, Try to remember your tent poles this time! It makes it a little easier. I already packed my toilet paper roll. Yama Mama

Are there going to be jello shots, apple pie, and Black Death? Okay, I'll come. Moped and I will be in the third tent from the right. Only thing could be a problem is our new Granddaughter if she would decide to be born early. Yama Mama

Just thought that I would post a photo of our bike. I guess just because I can is the reason. She has been such a great bike to us and taken us so many cool places. She has never let us down in all the years we have had her. Love our bike. Yama Mama

I no longer know where to find how many members we have as of today. I remember when we had around 3000, back in the old days. Of course, back then most every one still rode a First Gen or a Second Gen. So what is answer, just curious. Yama Mama

Boys, I think you misunderstood what I termed chicken dinner. I am talking homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles, gravy, green beans and ham, applesauce, and coleslaw. Choice of desserts and beverages, and homemade bread and butter. I am talking good chicken dinner, We rode there, we ate there and we got home from there. Good eatin! No franchise food. Yama Mama

Moped and I enjoy going on rides in Southeastern Indiana, to go to Church chicken dinners. We have not gone to as many this year as we normally do. Today we are riding to Brookville, Indiana to go to St. Michael's Festival. We have to get there before 3PM because other wise we will miss the chicken dinner. They even have home baked bread. Good eatin! Any way, the weather is perfect, and I am raring to go. Have a good day!

I was just checking on the sight, and was surprised when I discovered this poll is still active. Moped and I always wear our helmets. In fact, we are on our second sets with this 99 RSV. In the olden days when we rode our little 350 Honda CB, we also wore them. There have been times years ago when we did not think it was that important however. The other night, we were riding on I-275 and we were ready to get off at our exit. A car in the fast lane, decided they wanted to exit too. So they switched lanes and obviously did not see us on the bike. It was a real close call. When Moped uses his horn, you know it was close. The thing that mad him the maddest was after blowing the horn, the clown still came over in our lane. We would have been knocked off the road for sure. And to think I was just worried about running into deer that night. I yelled back at the guy, and said, "You almost got us"! He said, he was so sorry. And I think he really was. Once again we made it home. Yama Mama

Sure will cowpuc! I put anchovies and pineapple on my list of things to buy. I don't think I have ever tried that combination but I am willing to try anything. I hope you get to stop by, you always liven up the joint a bit! Yama Mama

And maybe even Cowpuc will show up, that silly lopped earred varmit of all varmits! I will order plenty of food.
