  1. Very nice photos. Glad you had fun. Mama:hurts:
  2. Marilla, I think the helmet was the big part of your problem. I am claustrophobic too, so I really do understand. I will not even try one of those on, so you did better than me. I would try again, ride with the bike. Do not be constantly aware of turns and bends, just ride with the bike. Oh and breathing in and out is good too. Remember it is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. Look to the sides, look at the scenery, listen to your favorite music. Try all of the above. You will be fine I know. Mama:thumbsup2:
  3. Glad to hear you are ok. Take care and make up some crawdad's. Yama Mama:hurts:
  4. :ice_congrats-vi6886Mr. Rooster! Excuse me, Excuse me! I do not want to be critical. And of course, I am always supportive of our members many achievements. But WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS? Thank you, Now I feel better! Yama Mama
  5. Ron and I are so sorry to hear of this terribly sad news. I know that I could never be able to know what hurt they are feeling. We will pray that the Lord will carry them through this very difficult time of grief. Yama Mama
  6. Ah Cindy, I am so sorry about your fall. I know you are hurting. You know you always have to watch out for gravel, even when cooking burgers. I hope you did not spill any cupcakes. Heal up quick. Yama Hog
  7. Ron and I always know our Guardian Bell is working for us. I always listen to it's nice ding a ling on the road. And if you have noticed lately, there are a lot of DINGALINGS on the road. Ride safe.
  8. Hipshot, I am so glad you noticed that stage. For some reason there was a life insurance sales man standing near by just in case something gave in. But it actually survived the evening. The people we so friendly there, we hope to go again and spend the whole day there. Oh by the way they are having an election for mayor and the candidates are dogs. nky.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/C2/20080821/NEWS/808200351/-1/recorder - 51k - Cached - Similar pages Mama
  9. Hi Mig,

Let me know what you think the problem is with your bike and I will ask my husband about it and let you know. Or you can always ask any question on the site, and it does not matter about your English.

  10. Ron and I had a lot of fun at this event. There was good music and lot of things to see. Not as many bikes as I thought though, but we plan to go again next year. Rabbit Hash is directly across the Ohio River from Rising Sun, Indiana and the Grand Victoria Casino. Here are some photos. There are a lot of twisties on route 20 and 18. MAMA:big-grin-emoticon:
  11. Tomorrow, we will be riding to Rabbit Hash, Ky for Old Timer's Day. There should be quite a few bands, food, and etc. We hope to see a bunch of bikes. I will bring the camera and share the photos later. Should be a lot of fun. www.rabbithash.com/latest_news/upcoming_events/28th_annual_old_timers_day_festival.html - 80k Mama
  12. Thank you for letting me know that, we nay just ride up there to see it. I never knew that they had a festival like that. We have one called Tall Stacks that they do every 4 years along the Ohio. Boats come from way down the Mississippi. It is a photographers delight. Mama
  13. Yes I would love to spend the night on one too, however I think I would like it more on the Ohio River. Actually, my mother told me about the Island Queen that we used to have to take passengers from downtown Cincinnati to our Coney Island up river. I do not remember what year she told me it happened, but it completely burnt up. It probably would have been even an older paddle wheel boat than the Delta Queen. Mama
  14. Yes Scotty, I read that same history. That is very interesting that you have a connection with the Delta Queen, who would have ever thought. I think that is really powerful that Scotland was involved in trying to save the ship. Mama
  15. I suppose for now the Mississippi Queen is the replacement, but we are talking history here. We never were able to take a cruise because it is too expensive for our tastes too. However, I still would of liked to have gone on a cruise down to New Orleans just to say I did. I guess I understand the government butting in on this, but as long as the boat was maintained properly, I think it could have gone for a few more years. Mama
  16. Today was the last time for the Delta Queen to dock at his home port of Cincinnati. Here are some photos for those who are interested. Evidently, it is to become a hotel somewhere.
  17. You have just described our dream trip. Please share photos, and have a safe ride. Enjoy every minute of it. I am so happy for you; but I am a woman ---so I am jealous too. Mama:thumbsup2:
  18. Nice photos Mini. Beautiful day for a ride. Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
  19. Mini, I am assuming that was a PINK POLE! Who would have thought. Mama:big-grin-emoticon:
