Some of the German Bands who perform at the Hoffbrau House are going to be at the Oktoberfest. There are at least 5 stages set up over a about a 3 city block area. Wish you could be there too. Yama Mama

Anyone traveling in Southern Ohio, this weekend? One of the biggest Oktoberfests in the nation is going on in downtown CIncinnati. There is food, Beer, German music and dancing. Ron and I will probably be there at least two nights. It really is fun. Of course, the chicken dance will be very popular. Yama Mama

Yes, Ike hit Cincinnati too. We have never been through something like this before. No damage to the house, but we have had not had power for 24 hours, and we lost several big trees. Spent the day hauling limbs and logs. I am exhausted. I did not have work today or tomorrow due to the fact many homes and businesses are still without power. The winds here were up to 70mph. Many have roof damage too. I certainly am not complaining, when I think of the poor people down in Texas. God bless them. Yama Mama

Cincinnati, has always been the home port of the beautiful Delta Queen riverboat for many years. We were fortunate to be able to see it for the last time on the Ohio. It is to become a floating hotel somewhere down south. -
