ooooooppppss - I guess those letters that say LINKS is where they are hiding - perhaps it was a senior moment

Where did the VR Classifieds go ? Am I going blind ? The link doesn't appear on the left side as usual - it also looks like a few other things are not there. Please tell me I'm not having a SENIOR moment !!

I'm really fond of Epson printers - I have 4 Stylus Photo RX 620's (copy, scan, print ) They have 6 ink cartridges, are fast enough for me and make GREAT photo copies. Plus I found a site where I can buy ink @ $3 to $4 each.

Getting ready for cataract surgery tomorrow.
Hummingbird replied to Venturous Randy's topic in Watering Hole
I had my left eye done a couple years ago. Everything went so well that I can't remember anything except wear a patch for a couple days and don't rub it. I hope your surgery goes as well as mine did -
This may be old news to some here but it's pretty exciting to me. I had been searching for a trailer hitch for my 2007 Venture and found more than I could digest. Then I looked at this site http://www.venturedad.com/RSV%20hitch.htm and was surprised at the price. I wanted the hitch so that I could fly a couple flags on PGR missions and this one looked to fit the job. I called the number listed and talked to Roy, the owner/mfg'er and he put one in the mail that day. I got it today and had it installed in just a few minutes. When I ordered the hitch on Monday I asked Roy if he wanted me to pay with PayPal or how would he prefer ? He said that he preferred I just mail him a check and that was the end of that. Pretty hard to believe but the hitch came today via USPS Priority Mail - order on Monday, install on Wednesday and it came from Washington state. I guess I had better get a check in the mail

don't know if I want to put a decal on the ws but sure would be interested in a patch or a pattern for our local embroidery vender. Not necessarily huge but something for a vest or on the pocket of a denim shirt ??

A friend had one on his 1500 GoldWing - gotta be a little careful in the curves, sometimes he would lift the inside wheel. Also on occasion he would lose traction because the outside wheels held the drive tire off the pavement. I suspect that happened because he had the suspension too tight. One great thing is that they can be bought used for $1000 & up versus $10,000 for a permanent trike kit.

OH CRAP !!! :bang head:

I'm an EX Goldwing owner/rider and I'll stay an EX. Over the years I've owned 7 goldwings plus a goldwing trike. None of them were as comfortable as my 2007 Midnight Venture ! Don't mistake me, I'm not bashing, I'm just much happier with my Venture.

I can't see much difference (visually) between a Venture and an Ultra but then I really don't care what anybody rides. Just ride, enjoy and try to be safe btw - congrats on your new ride

That's one of those things that I have to use here in Ohio almost 8 months of the year. Oh - I also use it to tow my travel trailer, the one I camp in - you know, microwave, flush toilet, RUNNING hot and cold water - lol

Has anybody had any experience with this ?

Yes I did think about an extension but the mfg. says it works just fine w/o the tailgate -
A couple years ago I bought high & low beam WHITE bulbs for my 2005 Silverado from http://www.eurodezigns.com They advertised a lifetime warranty for a mere $6.95 return fee. GUESS WHAT - I had a bulb go out so I took it out put it in an envelope with a $6.95 MO and mailed it back as the instructions say on their web site. Within 5 days I had a SET (2 bulbs) in the mail. So now I have a spare if another one goes out.

I'm not a mechanical engineer but I was told several years ago that the same model works on long and short bed trucks. -

I wouldn't doubt you could build one for that. good luck !! I just find it easier and much simpler to let someone else do it. I just happened to have the extra $$$$ and my wife already said that she wouldn't put it in the casket with me. -

I have a short bed Z71 and I will have to leave the tail gate off just to be able to hook up the travel trailer. That's the whole object - I want to camp and still have a flush toilet, microwave, TV and of course my laptop. I also want to ride the bike when I get to various locations - scenery is much more pleasant when you're on a bike. -
http://www.rampagelift.com/ I want to take our travel trailer and our bike to the Grand Canyon this year and this seems to be the only way I can do it. I bought one yesterday and it should do the trick. I guess I'll have to take some polish and cleaning rags since the bike will be exposed to the elements.

grass hopper - Thank You for your SERVICE

I found a Rampage lift - I don't know how to delete this entire thread or I would

ouch !!

We had a toy hauler - didn't like it because it had a PULL down queen bed. Still had to climb a ladder to get into bed. not good for an old man !!
-
there used to be a motorcycle lift that mounted in the bed of your truck and would reverse and lower to the ground to load or unload your bike. I can't seem to find a web site - anybody remember these lifts ?? I think I found it - sticker shock has got me tho ----

I would like to get a aux. fuse block installed for future lighting etc. btw - what size/colors wire would be needed ? I would be happy to supply wire for more than myself.

some REALLY interesting thoughts have come alive. FREEBIRD - I don't mind spending $1000 for a one time trip but the bed loading outfit is WAY outta price for me. ( I'm a cheapskate at heart). A friend has already offered the use of his 16 foot enclosed that is set up for hauling his RSTD and he has it set up for storage etc. I think we can get a couple cots and things needed for camping. Already have a lot of it anyway. I'm just trying to make it as comfortable for wifey as I can. From what I see so far, it makes more sense to use his trailer and camp when I want and stay at motels when it's nasty weather. The money not spent for the hitch will go a long way towards motel rooms.
