Red Roof Inn, Super 8 and when I see one I'll gravitate to a Motel 6. We usually don't have any trouble seeping especially after 10 or so hours on the road.

Never mind - I found my answer in the next post.

The only thing this link does is take me to the ebay home page.

I have a very similar situation except when she can, my wife goes with me on trips. I have a company credit card and have been told many times that regardless of the outcome of the trip to make sure we eat GOOD. An example of his idea of eating good: Yesterday we had a client in from California and we managed to have all the equipment he needed as well as an extra piece. $38,000.00 sale = a dinner at Benders in Canton. Filet - $32, Ribeye - $25.99 and a couple beers $85 for dinner for 2. Life is GOOD !!

On one end you will see the "freeze plug" about 6' down and the other end it's about 10" deep. I use a metal cutting hole saw with one extension to drill them out. Drill one end then turn end for end and drill the second one. They will most likely stick in the muffler but I use a brass drift and drop it in the "deep' end and a little bouncing and they both come out the opposite end. Hope this helps - almost forgot - you might want to drill just one plug on each and test them for sound. I have both drilled out and the sound is great. Not annoying while cruising but really barks when accelerating.

I just got back from my first visit to the flight 93 memorial site. There was a lady ( a volunteer ) gave a presentation with pictures of the crew and passengers, giving a little background on some of them. A very moving experience as well as enlightening. She said that they have already archived 37,000 pieces of memorabilia left by visitors to the site. The actual impact area has been declared a mass grave site and is cordoned off. She had an artist's rendition of the future memorial that is supposed to start with a groundbreaking yet this year. If you have a chance to visit this memorial site, you will not be disappointed. I know I'll go back again in the spring and again when the memorial is completed. It's really difficult to explain what is going on right now as the visitors come in in busses, cars, van and motorcycles with many leaving tokens at the site. In walking around I noticed everything from St. Christopher medallions to an allen wrench and anything else you could imagine. Hats, flags, vests and every type of memento you could imagine. Something I wasn't aware of was that as the plane crested the knoll just prior to impact it was 40 feet off the ground, traveling 536 mph and upside down. Parts and pieces were found as deep as 35 feet. I glad I finally made it over there. God bless those heros on Flight 93 !!

Perhaps I'm confused about the clutch and clutch basket. Are they the same thing ? I'm starting to get aggravated with the noise ( whine, chirp or whatever) in my 2007 Venture and have seen where some have ordered and replaced the basket. Is that the entire clutch ? or just a part of it ? I did look but couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance

Do you turn the fuel off...

Do you turn off the fuel petcock on your bike when you are not riding? No -
RK muffler bracket question
Hummingbird replied to Pa-Ting's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
or you could utilize a fellow rider and get his bracket - his name is Mark and he makes and sells the adapter plate. rmarkventures@aol.com -
I also am a GoldWing transplant. However I don't ride as much as many here but I do get 4 or 5 thousand miles a year. I can't see myself buying another GoldWing because I'm so satisfied with everything about my 2007 Venture.

guess I should have put a picture in to prove it.

That's a close observation BUT it's a know fact that Dupont Spectramaster YM516 Green and black on the 2007 Venture is THE color to have.

Total or even partial loss of eyesight is not a good thing BUT it's a GREAT trade off for a POSITIVE report in November. Best wishes and prayers from here in Ohio Dick

I use a digital gauge - I've got two of them. One for the front and one for the rear. If I weren't so lazy I'd use the zero loss gauge, just too lazy to screw it on & off.

Very, Very NICE -

I honestly 'feel' that 24vdc is as uncomfortable as 277vac - especially if your elbow is properly grounded

Good Luck on your surgery and recovery. It sounds like you've been thru it once and was successful doing your part. I'm still healing from a March 3rd total knee replacement. it's been 6 months and the Doc said that because of previous surgeries it could take me a year. Be sure to ask a LOT of questions about repairing the previous 'fix'

Thanks for the # Joe -- they're closed today. I'll call Monday and see if they can shed some light.

I read that MotorCote does not mix with the oil thus making it a separate entity within the crankcase. My question : does it intermingle, float on top or heavier and go to the bottom ? The reason for the question is I changed oil and as an after thought I added 10 oz. of Motorcote. I noticed that there seemed to be MUCH more noise ( whine) at cruising (55mph or so ) and also somebody posted that an over fill caused excessive whine. So this AM I drained enough fluid out of the bike to bring the level to the top line in the glass. Now I wonder what I drained out and does it make any difference. ooops - 2 questions, sorry !
