John- That'll be fine. Go ahead and order it and if it gets here in time OK, if not I still have one in the garage. After I posed the question I googled Kumho and found them all over the place.

I just talked top a tire dealer that sells Kumho's, however he doesn't stock the 165/80R15. He talked like it was an obsolete or discontinued tire. Is this correct ?? or is he mis-informed? So where are the Kumho's coming from ?

My Journey to get a Venture (adVenture?)

As for the Bridgestone... yes it is crap... Can't decide between a Michelin or Kumho for a replacement. The only reason for not deciding on a Kumho, is "Can I find someone to mount it near Richmond? John - I already told have I an extra Kumho sitting in the garage. If your uncomfortable with what's on it now, I have a MC tire shop within 10 minutes of my home. We can put my Kumho you bike for the cost of the tire and probably $10 or so to mount it. We can take the wheel off here at my place and run it over to him, that'll save a few bucks. I'm going to call him right now to see if he'll be around on the 7th. If he can't be available I have a back-up installer. We'll get it done one way or another. -
Thanks Don - we've been getting good reports, it'll be a long road but things ARE looking better

Jim - beautiful, just beautiful.

CMIKE - I copied and pasted the article and saved it to my files. Thanks ! I will probably try that on something I pick up for myself but I have no desire to do someone else's furniture anymore. M61A1MECH - that is beautiful, I've often thought about trying to turn some things but I've already run out of room for equipment and I'm too old to try to teach myself the proper way so I don't loose any of my appendages.

The hutch that is pictured took me about 20 to 25 hours to make. Believe it or not but I sell this one for $235.00 - that gets about $10 an hour for my labor but then the wood is free. I do it for fun anymore and try to figure my material costs and add a few buck for me - it's pretty obvious I'm not getting rich building them but I have a heck of a lot of fun. Plus I get to run my shop vac a lot.

OMG - I just did the math, it's been 46 years since I was presented a DD214. I have never taken advantage of the free meals but I just may do it this year. Thanks for the info

Our house is FULL of older furniture that I've refinished. We still have a full size bed ( instead of a Queen or King ) because I won't part with the bedroom suite I refinished 20 some years ago.

no, I'm going to take it to a retail outlet in Carrollton. They put it on their floor and sell it as-is. When I finish an item completely I stain and apply a sealer before assembly then all I have to do is shoot the finish after it's all together. btw - I use a Binks HVLP - makes life a lot simpler

I saw that on the telly the other day. That's one heck of a mess but I don't understand 3 months to clean it up. I wonder just how many guys they have allocated to balance the shovels ?

Many years ago I refinished old/collectable furniture but it's almost impossible to find someone to strip the old finishes off anymore because of the toxic waste. 10 years or so ago I started building rustic furniture for resale and have continued because I enjoy creating different pieces. I also have a habit of waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning so I go out to the shop and make some saw dust. Attached is the piece I finished this morning, all poplar wood with the exception of a couple resawn oak panels in the doors. It's a 2 piece unit so I can handle it by myself.

That would be John ( First_N_Last ) from Richmond, Va. I'm meeting him at the Akron/canton airport on the 7th.

Starting at Sugarsreek Oh and going West on Rt.39 there are more than several good places to eat, more "amish" shops and stores than you could see in a week and several place that offer tours of the area. Berlin has gotten to be quite the tourist trap, I mean tourist area. There are a LOT of nice roads in the area as well.

Had that snake appeared at our door I'm pretty sure we would either be moving or at minimum staying at a hotel/motel until I could prove to my wife that it had left the county. You're right tho - black snakes are just about the only ones that are good to have around. They usually don't allow other critters in their territory.

Try this vendor - http://www.alekspowersports.com/ I got my genuine Yamaha passing lights from them, they had them listed on ebay
