  1. That looks GREAT ! You will surely have quite a few questions and stares.
  2. If you flash or strobe the blue LED's while traveling down the highway, you are SURE to catch the attention of every leo in sight. Probably get a ticket as well.
  3. I opted for Joe Florida LED's - they were slightly higher in price but are guaranteed for life, have 17 functions, plug and play, double sided tape and are remote controlled oh yeah, $135.00
  4. don't know about other states but is is against the 'law' in Ohio to flash your lights to warn others of a speed/radar trap. So I guess I'm braking the law all the time.
  5. This is the unit I use also. The only problem that I have with it is that I'm more than slightly hard of hearing and I have to have the volume up a little higher than my wife's. One up is no problem because there is enough air between the headset and ear that you can hear the radio as well as what's going on around you.
  6. You'll have a ball and not even realize it til you're back home -
  7. This is so hard to disect - being a third party volunteer leaves me with questions and no way to make immediate decisions. The good thing is there are some real good alternatives to catalog and possibly use. Thanks
  8. When the time comes - they are considering internet access, everything is so iffy - money so scarce. On top of everything else, they meet once a week on Saturday and have the bldg. open for visitors from 9 to noon. I haven't been able to figure out when they will do any cataloging.
  9. Yes - we talked about an online provider - here's the MAJOR problem. This whole project is with the Malvern Historical Society. They have a building that was donated ( 2 story wood frame house) by a concerned citizen. Many, many local citizens have donated items of historical value and the entire project is run by 4 volunteers on funds that are sparse to say the least. Paying the monthly electric and heating bill can be a challenge sometimes. The computer has not been bought yet because the grant to pay for it hasn't been approved yet, I'm trying to gather info so that when it does happen, they hopefully will be ready. I guess the whole point is that a monthly obligation could be considered a burden and I'm trying to avoid that as much as possible. As a matter of fact, it's already been decided that if programs are needed to function that I will bring the computer home and download off the net because the society doesn't even have a phone let alone internet. It's an enormous and daunting task but as long as somebody wants to try, I'll help with what my abilities will allow.
  10. Having been exposed to commercial construction (electrical) I truly believe that architects and engineers live in their own little world and have no concept of what it takes to actually (hands on ) replace things that they have designed and had approved for installation. Changing that darn lamp was a perfect example. What angers me is that had the bulbs burned out, they are covered under the bumper to bumper warranty but me in my infinite wisdom decided that the white lamp needs to be in place of the factory lamps. duh - did I say wisdom ? sorry, I won't say that again -
  11. I'm looking for help/info with regard to external hard drive back ups. I want to get something & a program that I can download a back up from a different location. Confusing ? yep - Here's what I want to do; I will have a computer in a building apart from my home and across town. There will be people cataloging information/pictures on that computer. At the end of the day I want to back up that information on an external hard drive which will be located at my home. The reason for this particular action is many but foremost is in case of fire/theft or any other unforeseen act. Thanks for any help. Dick
  12. OK - I guess if a lamp blows out you get to disassemble the front end to change it. I really would like to THANK the GM design engineers for their very thoughtful design. I guess when you get paid their kind of salary, you don't have to worry about fixing it yourself. Just take it to the local garage - thanks GM engineers btw - I hope the sarcasm was evident -
  13. Aspen60 - THANKS - I looked everywhere on the net EXCEPT utube. duh ! Those hidden screws are what I was looking for. All I want to do is change the lamps to a white lamp.
  14. I need to remove the headlight assemblies on my 2009 Silverado. I found the 2 screws on top but don't know if there's a hidden screw or a slip socket. The bottom outside corner seems to have something holding it - too expensive to start ripping too hard. thanks - - - -
  15. We've wired several of them in Ohio also. They are predominately in Canada but have branched out to the states.
  16. 2007 Venture - 19 something Hardly Davidson Road Kings ( w/0 frost plugs )
  17. shoulda emailed me and I coulda sent him one of the several emails that promised 2 or 3 million bucks in a box or in a lottery that I've won. I've been waiting for a worthy person to give them to -
  18. I've been told many times that my bs has taken on a new degree - not sure what they meant.
  19. 3 for $5 and must be there on the 19th to accept prize ?
  20. At 1 AM this morning my step-son passed away with his wife by his side and family nearby. Bill lost a short battle with cancer as he was diagnosed last September. He leaves behind a multitude of friends and family including a 3 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. 38 years on earth is too short yet long enough to make an incredible impact as Bill has done. God blessed us with Bill's presence and now we are blessed in knowing he is in God's hands.
  21. yes - reverse the wires
  22. I think wes has it - I believe polarity is a necessity with strip led's - also, there may be a control module hidden somewhere, might even be up in the fairing. I know mine are plug and play with a module and a remote.
  23. Squidley - go ahead and chuckle - but isn't it supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny in your area ?
  24. Check out http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/BuyEpson/ccProductCategory.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=-13262 The Artisan 800 is an awesome machine and you can get ink dirt cheap, about $3 per cartridge - it takes 5 individual. I've been buying from them for years, they're so inexpensive I buy just to upgrade sometimes. Many times I've bought and had delivered for less than the cost of OEM cartridges. One other thing, these refurb units have the same warranty as NEW. I have yet to have ANY problem with any of the 10 or 12 I've bought. At present I have 4 RX620 in service and they won't quit or I'd be buying a couple Artisans. pm me and I'll get you linked to ink cartridges
  25. I got my OEM passing lights from http://www.alekspowersports.com/ and the price was real good. I don't know about any other items.
