never ran into that type of issue but if you have a bill of sale or something showing ownership in your state, you should be ok. I would guess that most leo's are aware of different states registration methods. If not, they always have their radio to verify btw - hope to see you at MD

I finally found one and it's installed. The VERY first thing I managed to do was to pick up a sliver of steel so small it took me over a week to find it. Then the only way I managed to see it was to pump the tire up to about 100 psi and the tread opened up enough to expose the culprit right against the tread. I put a plug in it last fall, it sat all winter in the garage and lost nearly one pound of pressure. I've only got a few hundred miles on it so far but I can't see what all the hub-bub is about. It's just another tire on the rear - btw - I have yet to get the bike over 70 mph - haven't had to

Aux fuse box or inline?
Hummingbird replied to Dave77459's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I thought the object of a fuse block was to allow extra protected power outlets. Doubling the fuse is redundant but it's done all the time. my theory is that every time you have an extra connection, you have one more possible link for corrosion and failure. jmho & -
I rode GW's almost forever til I found my first Yamaha 650 V Star, then an 1100 V Star and now the Venture. All 3 within 3 months 2 years ago and never liked any of the wings as much as I do my current ride.

I suppose I should explain my original post. Saturday, while out for a leisurely ride with one other bike we turned onto a known twistie state highway. We had traveled a couple miles at 50 - 55 mph and just enjoying the day. As I always do when I'm in the lead, I keep an eye on the rear view for 2 reasons, one for traffic and one for whomever is riding with me. As we straightened out from a long curve I looked and saw numerous headlights. I thought they were the group of Harleys we had encountered earlier. I was wrong. The very next thing I heard was a singer sewing machine on steroids right beside me. darn near crapped, then another and another. Three of them passed me on a double yellow and a 4th was beside me and decided to go ahead before the oncoming car met us. He made and by that time I looked back and saw that Bill had pulled into the bicycle lane and slowed considerably. I did as well and the allowed the rest of the 10 bikes to pass unobstructed. Maybe half of the bikes had passengers and I can only imagine how they felt being thrown into a situation where their life was TOTALLY in the hands of someone they theoretically trusted. It didn't take but moments for them to disappear as they were then playing catchup with their lead bike. I just can't get it in my head that they were having a nice ride.

at this point of the discussion it is just rhetoric - there are no legal presidents referenced and it appears that all of the negative rhetoric is from ones that WOULD NOT run a ct on their bike for one reason or another. I have a Kumho on my Venture, and if somebody runs over me, how does my having a ct make that person any less liable ? Perhaps my add-on led's blinded him or the non factory passing lamps distracted him, or even the fact that my Midnight Venture is not solid black anymore was the cause of the accident. Without legal president, this is all just talk.

I know I'll be spat upon for this but I think it needs to be said just to bring things into proper perspective. Occasionally, there are threads about the idiotic cagers colliding with a bike. Usually it's deemed the cages fault because they are in a cage and not on a bike, however, in other threads, it's mentioned how fast one can go on a bike either on the straight away or tackling some twisties. This causes me to wonder if there is shared responsibility or if it always the cages fault when we as operators act like we're running the Datona 500 on bikes on public highways and subjecting ourselves to unsuspecting cagers. Ok - fire away --

That picture reminds me of the blonde that locked her keys in her convertable with the top down and called a locksmith.

That takes some of the eclusiveness (sp) out of owning a numbered Millenium - not good

I really don't understand all the comments about the kumho on a Venture. I know that 150 miles isn't much of a test run ( compared to 1000 miles or so) but I can hardly tell there's something different on the rear of the bike. I know I don't ride like some on here, I'm really laid back and the 150 miles we rode today took almost 5 hours including a nearly 1 hour stop for lunch and ice cream. I guess in my part of Ohio we are blessed with miles and miles of state and county roads that have twisties as well as some pretty nice hills and can be biked at 30 to 50 mph without the fear of being run over by traffic. Bottom line, the Kumho will probably develop dry rot before it wears out

Condor - we stayed a the Vallarta Palace in Nuevo Vallarta ( about 15 minutes North of PV ) everything was paid for with the exception of a couple Vallarta tours we took. Linda went swimming with the dolphins ( $150 ) and we took another Catamaran ride that included a show and candle light dinner on the beach ( $160 ). All of our food was included ( 7 restaurants )as well as all the mixed drinks and beer and wine we could drink. After we got back I looked on the net to see what it cost - ( $360 a day - ouch ) I don't think I'll be doing that again. Did I mention that the trip was a gift to us ?? air fare included ?? maybe I did give my son all the toys he wanted when he was a kid ? Payback isn't always bad !!

Let me know what you think of this video!

Too simple - Too cheap - gotta cost millions to be effective. -
That's a dynamite idea - my first question, is does crude oil behave as does refined oil ? If they are equal, what's the holdup in not implementing that method ? oooops - had a thought That could possibly work if the price of the hay is increased to $5000 a bale ( 70# bale ) and increase the price of distribution to match government standards.
