Ed - all the luck and best wishes I could ever muster are enroute to you. Dick

I have to agree with at least the part of this that is in red. I know nothing about e-cigs other than they seem to be a crutch and in vogue right now. I tried several times to quit but with no success. My final attempt was to attend a mass hynotisim class and I'm convinced that it worked not so much of being 'hypnotized' but that I had FINALLY decided that I wanted to quit. Haven't had nor wanted one since an hour before the class, that was in 1990. Good luck Tom with however or whatever works for you - I just don't think e-cigs are the answer tho

2015 riding season, what did you do for milage this year?
Hummingbird replied to Brake Pad's topic in Watering Hole
if you feel your numbers were lame then I'm not at all sure how my 500 or so miles stack up. I did go a few calendar months w/o a bike then when my current ride came up for sale, I couldn't resist. So the bulk of my 500 miles ( 220 or so) was just getting the trike home. I'm not making payments on it and it doesn't complain and it's ready when I do want to go for a ride. Maybe this year I'll get out more - naaaw -
The castle doctrine is only totally effective when you are in eminent and COMPLETE danger and fear for your life. Too many people think it's a license to get away with something -

quote all the law you care to, fact remains the perpetrater has more rights than the victim. it could be twisted to become kidnapping. I would most likely be going to jail for discharging my 9mm Kimber, then it's a one sided story.
-
word of warning in the eye of the law - that can be construed as kidnapping and you could be charged go to jail etc. it's not right but that's the way it is.
-
eck - I'm not a cop nor a lawyer but I guess my point is that another law wouldn't make any difference at all. The uninsured are going to drive and the drunks are going to drive, the only way to stop it is for the drunk and the uninsured to stop. There aren't enough leo's to police everything. . . . . just sayin' glad they made it 'home' ok and I do hope you can now have a Merry Christmas

I mean lets be real here....Allowing "any driver" to get back into his car without proper auto insurance is a lawsuit waiting to happen in my opinion against the police department/ city that the officer works for. What "law" gives any officer the authority to say who can drive with out insurance or who can...They don't have that authority......period.. I understand your rant considering the incident happened to family members - however, it's the same conundrum as taking the driver license of a convicted impaired (drunk) driver. All the taking in the world doesn't amount to a hill of beans as long as there is no repercussion when getting caught AGAIN for the same offense. The easiest way to prevent drivers from driving is to not issue a license plate to uninsured drivers. As it stands now in Ohio, when renewing your car plate all you have to do is sign an affidavit saying that you have insurance - case closed As well, taking a drunks license doesn't stop them from driving drunk. More laws won't fix the problem, it goes WAY deeper than that . . . . . Happy to hear that your family members were not injured in the accident.

In December it'll be 11 years when I came home from work complaining about the pain in my right knee from 4 surgeries beginning in 1961 while in the Army. After a day at work I could barely push the accelerater on the truck to get home so my wife asked "why don't you retire ? " That was on a Wednesday and I said "show me on paper how I can and I will" When I got home on Thursday evening everything was laid out on the table. When I went to work on Friday morning I told the boss that this was my last day and I'm going to retire. To my delight he said "why not start right now ? " I had to wait a few months for the paper work to catch up but Uncle Sam has been sending me a check every month since then and being handy I've been able to scratch around and find a few bucks every once in a while. Never been happier - so bite the bullet and retire, take that cruise to Europe with your wife and enjoy - the results of procrastination are often regret

Bar - Beer - Bike ? what's wrong with that image ? -
GOOD fillets ? Isn't that an understatement ? A 7 -10 pound trout is a heck of a nice catch - never had trout but I'm bettin it's pretty good eatin
-
Dan, you are right about the Walleye but they are a lot like your Trout - but I'm tellin ya, the perch and white bass are just as tasty just smaller pieces
-
If I were 5 + hours from Lake Erie I'd have gone for a ride also but having a stash of perch in the freezer makes NOT riding a couple days WAY worth it.
-
a trip to Lake Erie perch fishing so 3 of us spent 2 days last week and one day this week on the water. Then a little more time getting the catch ready for the freezer. In the 3 trips we caught 132 keeper Perch and 43 keeper White Bass, both of which are arguably the best eating fish around. Could have rode the trike but the fishing was pretty darn good -

OK - you asked for it BUT I need to say up front that this is the first I've seen this . RK's will bolt right up to a 2nd Gen. Did you hear that ? SECOND GEN Yamaha, for example my 2007 that found a new owner a few years ago. Again, BOLT right on. no bending, no running for parts, no this nor that BOLT ON ! Doncha wish you had bought a 2nd gen so life would be easier ? OK - all seriousness aside - the RK's do bolt right on to the 2nd gens, sorry you're having such an ordeal for what should be a simple job. -
The good thing about PayPal is their record keeping. If they say the money isn't there - then you are not obgligated to ship/hand over anything. When the money shows up, they will send you an email - then and only then would I take any action or release anything to the buyer. You are obligated to inform the buyer of your intentions. Good Luck, sounds fishy to me

I didn't read every word here but - In Ohio the ONLY time it becomes legal to pass on a double yellow line is when approaching a farm implement (tractor, combine etc) that MUST be displaying an SMV sign. Even then should an accident occur, guess who's at fault ? a clue - not the farm tractor A double yellow line means a no passing zone, perhaps that was left out of the driver license test book in some states. -
I see a double yellow line - nuff said

I had a Silverado 3/4 ton HD with the 8.1 litre motor. I bought it less than a year old, 2800 miles without having my wife (or me) take a test ride. Picked it up in Hickory N.C. and drove it home. I have never had any vehicle with so much low end torque nor such stiff suspension. I owned that truck for maybe 3 months and realized that my wife refused to go anywhere with me in it because as she said "it rides like a TRUCK " but as Darrin - that's a lot of motor.
