We were camping a couple weeks ago but it wasn't a lot of fun - too many people making noise - see pics so we just tuffed it out with a Michelob Ultra or a glass of wine
-
That is WAY cool - I had no idea there were campgrounds that rented tents ! or trailers!

It's sad that someone was killed - it's more sad that the distracted driver may not suffer anything but a couple points on his driver license

This is my first Venture, it's supposed to be a Midnight Venture but I prefer the 10 o'clock version I have

Geeeeezzz do I like morning appointments with the Dr. They were pulling the stitches out 10 minutes before my set time Good news - he said it looks good, everything on schedule bad news ( for me ) - he said I will have to get used to NOT being able to bend the first joint 'cause what it is now is most likely what it will be later. Another pretty cool thing he said was that he could operate and 'clean up' the injury, move things around and he would get a little richer and I would have the same end result if we just let things alone. He said "why waste our time and your money" to achieve something that will happen naturally ? Bottom line - I've got a sore thumb, gonna have a sore thumb for a while and it will most likely always be numb no big deal, it's my fault - I'll live with it

Well, I have a 7:40 am appointment to get the stitches out today. I dread this more than taking pics of my forked thumb - still have a lot of swelling and the first joint isn't working too well, ok - hardly works at all but we'll see - Everybody have a great day

Very interesting AND a GREAT way to start the day !!

Thanks Dave - I'll look around my Zumo, it evidently has stuff I don't know about. ie: I've had a Blackberry for over a year and just found a bunch of features that I didn't know existed. Just too busy to stop and explore

A shot of silicone spray or WD 40 every once in a while does wonders. It works great on my travel trailer, can't se it hurting a smaller version

Big Tom - you can throw about half of those money throwing icons away - it doesn't cost that much, you'd be really surprised

It looks like you can at least walk thru your shop. My work area is the larger side of a 2 car garage - gets tight every once in a while.

not sure what P.T.S.D. is but if it's anything like a ball bat OUCH

more or less - I fashioned it after an antique cupboard we have, several differences tho - one being that the original doesn't have glass but it does have sculptured top. Also some dimensions are slightly smaller, makes it more suitable in most homes. I just enjoy creating -

My son goes down to the wilderness cause he can get a LOOOONG canoe trip and be back home. We took our bike there once, hated the gravel and dust but somewhere we found hardtop and ended up waaaaay south of loudenville. Wasn't worried tho - we still had 1/4 tank of gas.

Please do - I like to see others work. helps me improve, 'cause I'm strictly amateur

I was working on when I somehow lost concentration and darn near lost my thumb. I finally finished construction today, decided not to finish it - it a lot easier to stain, seal and finish before putting the pieces together. It's all poplar wood, even the side and back panels. I re-saw 3/4" boards up to 8" wide to make the panels. I definitely NOT a fan of fiber board -

Wife and I went camping last week end at Arrow Point campground in Loudenville Ohio. The campground is on the Mohican river and is locally famous for it's canoeing. We were lucky enough to get a river side site and as witness by the pictures below we had to contend with traffic all week end. At times it was quite bothersome ( 1st 3 pics ) and other times it became entertaining ( pic 4 ) Then there was the guy that thought his Kayak was better suited for the hillside and shale ( pic 5 ) Guess we know who won that fight. We watched him scraping shale off himself for 10 minutes before he grabbed his beer and left. We didn't take our bike because of my forked thumb but that didn't stop the ribeye steaks Friday evening over a fire and Johnsonville brats for Saturday evening. I believe there was some Ultra and Ravens Glen Pinot Grigio wine consumed, not positive, week end was a little fuzzy (see pics 1,2 & 3 ) It's really odd how a Michelob ultra and a slap upside your head keeps eyes in wonderment
